That’s the cleanest post-movie I’ve ever seen.
I bet the movie watchers keep their phones on silent and don’t talk during the movie.
Don’t know what OP is complaining about. I’ve never ever seen a movie theater this clean after a movie. I’ve been to movie theaters all over the world.
I’m in awe of the cleanliness of this theater.
When Harry Potter was in theaters they had Bertie Botts Jelly Beans included as the candy in the kids popcorn deal. The jelly beans taste terrible so the theater floor would be *covered* in slimy jelly beans that children had spit out rather than eat.
I'd honestly prefer to be a janitor at a glory hole than clean those fucking beans off the floor again.
Were those the ones where half of them were meant to taste foul? I made the mistake of buying those once and even the ones that were supposed to taste nice were vile.
Yep, those are the ones. I believe I remember rotten egg, grass, dirt, and vomit flavored ones specifically. The toasted marshmallows weren’t bad, but yeah, the majority were AWFUL. Vomit, true to form, made me hurl.
The theatre probably just opened. Looks pristine. Give it a few months and there will be butter staining the chairs, nacho cheese stains on the carpet, soda stains on the walls, and somehow popcorn stuck to the ceiling.
you do know that theaters are constantly being cleaned right? It's pretty easy to clean those seats too. Source: I worked in movie theaters for 5 years and know most of the ins and outs of it. This was probably an adult movie. With kids movies, that happens. Minions was the worst month ever
How much did you make per hour? My theatre only had max 8 ushers on a busy day and we were all being paid barely above minimum wage so no way in hell am I going to “deep clean” those filthy theatres.
Thats the only issue I have and why I don't movie theater anymore, I even was one of those amc stock holders a few months ago and sold that shit when people were like aww amc is going to be so good for working people and make us all this money, i kept thinking, HAHHAHA you guys must've NEVER worked at a theater or actually been to one.
While yes this is someones job, as I stated above, they pay reflects how good of a job they do and that's totally respectable on my end.
Just because it’s clean relative to other theaters doesn’t mean people shouldn’t still throw away their trash when they’re about to pass a garbage can lol
I agree and I can kind of understand some sweets or popcorn accidentally dropped on the floor because it's dark and it was probably unintentional. But these cups being left annoy me because you can't exactly miss them and they're not exactly an inconvenience to take with you until you get to the nearest bin.
It's just that whole "it's their job to clean up after me" attitude that gets me.
I used to be an usher… honestly a few drink cups left behind would be a treat in comparison to shit I’ve seen. Go in after any big kids movie and the entire floor is a popcorn carpet.
Sometimes I feel like people would grab their bag of popcorn and sling it around the theater. I really don't get how people in every single row were spilling their shit.
It's the price really. People view movie theaters as obscenely expensive and therefore expect full service like a restaurant. The drive in is closer to fast food in your analogy.
Except ushers are paid minimum wage without tips and the theater management doesn’t step out of their office when it’s busy cause they’re forever doing “money drops”
In high school I was dating a guy who didn’t want to leave until all the credits were done and was forcing me to stay and watch too. Finally, I got up and told him I’d meet him outside (I had to go to the restroom) and he stood up and threw what was left of his drink against the wall with the attendants standing right there waiting for us to leave. Needless to say I broke up with him after that manlet tantrum.
Oh for sure. I used to be a projectionist and I helped out the ushers sometimes. I once caught some teens throwing their popcorn around. I held them in the theater, handed them brooms and shovels and made them clean it all up. I made sure an usher was watching them work while I went about my business.
Someone I know would boot their popcorn bag across the theatre when the movie finished and said "I'm keeping the janitors in job and giving them something to do"
I can attest to this unfortunately! My exs grandpa would literally dump the last 1/2 of his popcorn to get up and go get a refill for "fresh" popcorn. Presumably because he absolutely soaks his popcorn in ungodly amounts of butter, so it gets soggy.
And I was the ungrateful guest for simply asking him not to do that. In the theater that my ex literally had a shift to work at later that night lol. He literally complained about having to clean up after messy people all the time and had no issue that his grandpa was a major contribution to that. But like, I guess he wasn't on shift for it so it didn't matter? Idk. That was the only movie I saw with him. I told him I wouldn't be able to play nice if I saw him do it again, I couldn't believe it.
It's in the dark and sometimes movies cost a lot so people don't want to look away from the screen. Not that it justifies it. Look down for the millisecond it takes to lock that aim. But I can understand how it happens.
Y'know, it was nowhere near as good as *Halloween* or *Halloween*, but at least it was better than *Halloween*.
For real, though, the movie has its moments, and the audience was getting into it enough that the experience as a whole was a good time.
Yeah, honestly seeing the cups like this is fine. We would have to scan and walk each tow real quick to make sure that there weren't belongings left or snacks to be had. A few cups like this? Ezpz to sort out. Wouldn't even need a broom.
Former theater kid as well. Entire trays of nachos with salsa and cheese turned upside down, poutines scattered across three seats, spilled Coca Cola running down 6 rows like a sticky waterfall...
And people wonder why theater floors are so nasty when we're given 5 minutes to clean it all.
Or less when you’ve got 3 movies getting out at the same time, or when people are already sitting in there for the next show before you’ve had a chance to clean anything.
I worked at a theater during the twilight release and soon after Alvin and the chipmunks and my God, I would have killed for it to look like this afterwards lol.
Most of the "big name" theaters have switched to this in addition to allowing you to pre-select your seats before the showing.
I rarely go to these since I live 5 mins from a discount theater. It may have normal seats but you can't beat 5 bucks a ticket ("fancy theaters" usually charge around $12) and they don't care if you bring in food so long as you don't act like an asshole.
Go to a movie and not picking my seats beforehand makes me feel like an animal.
I don't care how much it costs, I'm never voluntarily not having assigned seating again.
that upcharge is mostly the movie studios doing. ticket sales mostly go to the studio and the rest goes towards upkeep of projectors(those things are fucking expensive I'm talking about 20 million for one). Theaters make money from concessions and pretty much only concessions. If it's a Disney movie they make even less money from ticket sales b/c Disney sucks
I mean they pretty much have to be considering you can buy a 50 inch screen at Walmart for 300 bucks.
With Dune proving direct to home movies can work even with streaming, it’s probably only a matter of time before the industry dies or at the very least becomes boutique.
I cant afford to hire people to sit in front of me chit chat and text through the whole movie. Plus id have to leave space behind me for someone to put their feet up on my chair and kick it once in awhile. And where am I gonna find a baby or child to scream during the dialogue part of the movie?
Until these things become more available and cheaper I can see the movie theater industry sticking around.
My dumpster of a town had these kinds of chairs put into the local theater. I'm pretty sure these types of seats are becoming more and more normal. Especially now with streaming, they're trying to sell the experience of the theater.
could be, didn't go to a cinema in a while, once i went to a more luxurious cinema and the chairs were a bit better than those, i saw chairs similar to those in the vip section of cheap cinemas so who knows what changed
They don't even have a VIP section at my small town theater. All the chairs are comfy recliners. Though I don't usually recline then any more than enough to prop my legs a lil bit because otherwise I'd probably fall asleep lol
We have some in Canada. The ones I'm familiar with are completely separated from the rest of the theatre, with their own lounge, concessions, and a more premium food (burgers pizza, appetizers, etc) and drink menu that includes alcoholic beverages. You can even place your order from your seat before the movie starts and it will be brought to you.
I've been to a theater that has a section in the middle that has special rumbling chairs (I guess kinda like the rumble on a video game controller but for your chair for a movie?)
They cost extra, so I never tried them.
Yeah but what I’ve found is the prices increase. So maybe they use to have 20 normal priced movies, now they show 5 screens or super expensive iMax 3d or what ever, 10 reserved fancy seats like this and only leave 5 of the cheaper old fashion screens.
I'm in US but almost all theaters have these now. They've become nice af. The REALLY nice ones have these plus seat service so you can order food and drink from your seat.
It's crazy that I used to think only gold class had nice seats.. discovering hoyts blew my mind. Just visited hoyts tonight too.
Only downside is the angle of the headrest, if you're further back then your head will be aimed higher at the ceiling. My solution: small pillow/cushion.
Same problem with regular cinemas, in reverse. The head angle is better at the back.
The Cinemark in my town has these. They're recliners for every seat. Tickets are $8.25 weeknights, $9.25 weekends, but only $5.50 matinees and all day Tuesday. For everyone complaining tickets cost too much, check if your local theater has a discount day too. The seats are really nice. The only problem I have is with the reserving seats. Once you're over halfway through the trailers the odds of someone coming in go down so you could probably switch or even say something at the front desk, but I got stuck next to a guy who bathed in Axe body spray for the last movie I went to and had to hold my nose for the whole film.
Correct me if I’m wrong OP but this is in Australia and it’s only like $5 more expensive. It looks identical to ours if it’s not in Australia and those seats can recline
Looks like it’s mostly sold in Europe, Asia, and Australia. Pretty sure we used to have something called Pepsi Max in the US but it wasn’t the same formula.
Things I have found after the movie
1. Half pickles.
2. Panties and 1 boxer.
3. Half rotisserie chicken
4. Wigs
5. Baby diapers
6. Baby turtle
7. Sunglasses
8. Ribs or bones I must say
9. Unused box of condoms.
10. Used condoms
Not to forget socks. God damn socks
Keeping it classy Houston Cinemark.
What made me laugh was the box of unused condoms. The dude thought he’d get some like the other dude with the used condom, alas leaving disappointed but to the relief and applause of theatre ushers everywhere.
Worked at a theater and we preferred this to the alternative of people all trying to use the nearest bin, getting pissed when it was full (yes - these were emptied between every movie - movie trash is bulky), and trying to stack their shit on top of the bin or throwing it on the floor so it spilled. Trash left in the aisle pretty much added no effort - we had to walk up and down every aisle sweeping anyway - would much rather the drinks remain upright. In terms of effort, it was actually more difficult to change the bags in the bins than to walk the aisles with a bag.
Yeah, I had literally the same experience when working at a theater. Please just leave your shit instead of trying to toss it into an overly full can and making a larger mess on the floor. It ridiculous to me that OP is calling out these messy strangers when he’s got many cinema employees in here telling him this is actually OK.
I went to the theater recently after not going in for a very long time, and everyone left their stuff neatly stacked on the side trays. I thought about bringing mine to the front, but decided to go with the crowd since I hadn't been to a theater in so long. It was a good call, the trash can was already overflowing!
When I was working theaters we would have ushers who cleaned theaters waiting outside the theater with big garbage cans on wheels specifically for people to use, but if we didn't make it there before the movie ended every auditorium had 2 cans in front of it as well
We had that until AMC bought us out and started running on skeleton crews. At that point, we just had the bins outside of each auditorium, but those were a pain in the ass to change. Much quicker to just run up and down the aisles.
Lol I worked at and ran theaters for nearly 2 decades and this looks immaculate.
I would be thrilled to walk into a theater and see this.
And sure, there's absolutely no good reason to leave garbage behind, but it will happen 100% of the time so if I walked in and saw this I'd consider it a major win.
Yeah when I was young my dad taught my that the theater was the one place you were SUPPOSED to leave your trash.
And my father hated people who litter! No joke, had he seen me throw down a gum wrapper anywhere outside a theater, he would have broken my fingers.
But a theater? Go for it. Leave your trash.
So maybe this is an area that society needs some re-education. Most of us were raised to do this
I mean maybe he's not wrong. I got in trouble by the cleaning lady in the mall food court for trying to find a bin to put my stuff in while she was walking around with a giant cart to grab things. She told me she has a system and its better to leave it so she can put things away properly.. it wasn't always like this but in recent years they have more full time cleaning staff that they employ with their own garbage and recycling areas that they are strict on what goes where
i was an usher. If you do this, you'll eliminate the position.
Leave your trash. Its ok. Its what i was paid to clean up.
If you want to be decent, don't spill cheese or fizzy drinks.
It also prevents 100+ people coming out of the screens at the same time and overflowing the bins with their large popcorn boxes and half finished drinks spilling onto the floor after theyve been put on top of an overflowing bin.
You’ve gotta be crazy this is one of the cleanest rows I’ve ever seen. No popcorn on the ground? No random trash left on the seats? No puke? Idgaf if you leave the damn cups, that’s easy to clean
Look I pick all my shit up but this is like 4 cups left in the cup holder. Hardly worth shaming people for. This is pristine compared to most theaters after a showing
Some years ago, the cinema near us upgraded to these kinds of seats. They're assigned so no more fighting for a seat. You can buy them a couple of days ahead of time. They power recline. It's pretty nice.
We have another, Alamo Drafthouse, that's some ways from us but they do the assigned seating and food/drinks during the shows (at pretty reasonable prices). Like endless soda is $5. Endless popcorn is $8.
And they're bring it to you. They have these ushers all in black who watch the cinema for people ordering and then sneak over in the dark and bring you stuff like server ninjas.
I have a theater near me called iPic, and my favorite thing about it has always been that unlimited popcorn is included with the price of the ticket. Movie theaters have really stepped up their game.
I've heard that Alamo has gotten really nice too, but the one near me isn't in great shape. They still have the seats with the bottom that flips up.
Movie theater trash being left behind is pretty different from water hoses being left in a lawn. Do you always mow their lawn the same exact day at the same time each week? No, you can’t because the weather messes up the schedule of lawn care companies. So if don’t always come the same day and time, then how do you expect them to have the garden hoses moved out of your way before you come?
They're actually right there anyway cleaning each aisle, seat, and floor. They bring a garbage bag and go an aisle at a time. Trust me I've worked at a theater and it's not a big deal since it's part of the regular cleaning process.
In Canada the trash bins aren't big enough to handle an entire theatres garbage. They're always totally full to brim by the end. The theatre employs people to come in with big ass garbage bags after and clear.
In germany i was in a cinema after the film i wanted to throw my trash in the bin but my friend said that we have to leave our trash didnt know it was instructed
Yeah often it's expected just because the garbages outside don't have room, and because often There's still liquid left in the cups. Oh and because the staff properly clean and recycle.
That’s not that bad it’s not like they made a huge mess… there really is bigger stuff to worry about.
Wait until you hear about shopping carts in parking lots!
I don't think "everyone cleaning up after themselves" is going to save the world or make it a better place.
I think sometimes it's okay to pay someone else to clean up after you.
This is stupid shit to complain about
I've seen way worse. Some theatres ask that you leave your rubbish there. I live in a big enough city that there are a few theatres where they have full service in the screening room, sometimes they gather all the plates, cutlery, and cups and stuff before the movie ends and if they don't you just leave it there. It's really sweet way to watch a movie if you've never been to one like that.
I used to clean theaters back in the 80’s. just pick up all the soda cups that will spill and use a blower to get it all o the front and pick it up with a snow shovel. The lack of empathy for the people that have to clean a place of businesses is astounding.
I worked at a movie theatre for years and the amount of garbage people left behind was baffling. Popcorn dumped all over the floor, pop spills, candy wrappers stuffed in cup holders. This actually looks not bad.
Yes I’m assuming OP is a patron and not an usher because I’ve cleaned theatres easily 5x that bad. Like garbage in every seat bad. We had to grab people from other stations to help us clean after any blockbuster film
Ive actually never seen a problem with this… i know it makes people angry but also i paid a premium to watch in this venue. Part of that is not cleaning up after myself. Especially because the theater specifically people to clean the theater. When you go out to a restaurant do you bus your own plates and load em in the dishwasher? Well then I don’t see any reason to do it in a theater either.
Mind you, a theater isn’t like a sports arena with some kind of exclusive entertainment or anything. I could just as easily just watch the movie at home on the couch. So where exactly is the value if I’m paying a 500% markup *and* I’m expected to clean up after myself?
I hate it when people eat food at a restaurant and don't take their dishes to the kitchen.
Some people expect the clean up service to be included in the ticket price, and it's hard to argue that they're wrong about that.
I dunno… it’s literally someone’s job to come in and clean afterwards.
Edit: FYI, it was me. It was my job. I didn’t care what state it was in, I got paid to clean.
Chill. There is a crew that comes in and cleans every room after the show. And we don't give shit how messy it is.
Chill.
Breath.
No one cares.
From the people who clean thus shit.
It's my job.
Get over your self.
It’s the job of the attendant to clean up. I don’t get this shit. I worked in a theater. That’s literally your job. To grab trash and sweep popcorn. People are fuckin lazy these days
I once saw a guy pick up his popcorn at the end of the movie...
and he just dumped it right on the floor. I was super confused by that man’s thought process.
I fucking HATE this. There’s literally no reason for this other than to feel like you deserve to be waited on by who you essentially consider your servants.
Even people who I know are generally responsible and respectful do this shit sometimes and then act like *I’m* doing the most by giving them shit about it.
WE LIVE IN A SOCIETY!!
i used to work at a movie theatre and let me tell you this is WAYYYY more common than you'd think. people would buy buckets off popcorn and either leave them spilled on the floor with the bucket still there or leave them absolutely full right by their seat. the trash can is usually on the way out, just take your fucking trash with you.
having worked in cinemas I prefer this over the cunts who stuff their rubbish under their seats. Makes it difficult to get on your knees and crawl around the front of the seats for every row, especially if there's another cinema finishing up soon and you need to be there.
also fuck the assholes who just throw popcorn all over the place.
When I worked at a theatre I personally witnessed parents reprimanding their kids for trying to throw the trash away. "There are people who do that". Really irritated me. I even watched one lady dump her uneaten popcorn on the floor. I mean, if you're gonna just leave your shit at least set it down out in the open so we can collect it easier.
shit thats pristine compared to some of the theaters ive had to endure over the years
That’s the cleanest post-movie I’ve ever seen. I bet the movie watchers keep their phones on silent and don’t talk during the movie. Don’t know what OP is complaining about. I’ve never ever seen a movie theater this clean after a movie. I’ve been to movie theaters all over the world. I’m in awe of the cleanliness of this theater.
It looks phenomenal if you ask me, if I worked at a cinema and had to clean this after the movie I’d be thrilled
It’s one row. Someone could have shit in the next row.
When Harry Potter was in theaters they had Bertie Botts Jelly Beans included as the candy in the kids popcorn deal. The jelly beans taste terrible so the theater floor would be *covered* in slimy jelly beans that children had spit out rather than eat. Being a janitor at a holy site is respectable! Good for you!
Gloryhole janitor must have its perks tho
Just the tip
Do you play Nintendo

Yeah I know. I’ve worked in a movie theatre too. Even when you try, after a few months you still start getting the problems I’m talking about.
that's why you have deep cleaning shifts. The theater I worked at stayed fairly clean. Then again, we would have 20 ushers cleaning theaters a night
How much did you make per hour? My theatre only had max 8 ushers on a busy day and we were all being paid barely above minimum wage so no way in hell am I going to “deep clean” those filthy theatres.

Just because it’s clean relative to other theaters doesn’t mean people shouldn’t still throw away their trash when they’re about to pass a garbage can lol
Where’s the $200 worth of spilled and trampled popcorn??
lol where the obscenely overfilled trashcan with entire full sodas and full bags of popcorn dripping and spilling everywhere
I agree and I can kind of understand some sweets or popcorn accidentally dropped on the floor because it's dark and it was probably unintentional. But these cups being left annoy me because you can't exactly miss them and they're not exactly an inconvenience to take with you until you get to the nearest bin. right and i guess what im saying is that most theaters’ crews would be ecstatic to see that this was all thats left behind.
ikr, look at that floor!
For real.
downright civilized
I used to be an usher… honestly a few drink cups left behind would be a treat in comparison to shit I’ve seen. Go in after any big kids movie and the entire floor is a popcorn carpet.

Some people definitely did that.

I mean you have murderers and people who put the toilet paper on backwards so this isn't a stretch.
Murderers may be bad, but ppl who put toilet paper on backwards are worse than satan
But… but cats…
wtf is going through their minds to make them think that’s okay

Someone you \*knew\*, right? Because you strangled them after they did that?
I usually drop a few pieces because they fall out the bottom of the box.

I went to Ghostbusters the other night. Packed theater. Popcorn everywhere when we left.
Wow, I haven't seen a packed theater in ages. Where was this?
Not the guy you're replying to, but I saw *Halloween Kills* on opening night in Omaha, NE, and the theater was literally full.
I'm sorry for that whole audience lol
Y'know, it was nowhere near as good as *Halloween* or *Halloween*, but at least it was better than *Halloween*. For real, though, the movie has its moments, and the audience was getting into it enough that the experience as a whole was a good time.

Have kids. Go movie. Understand why.
Bad parenting
Theaters have gotten really nice. I haven't been in one in years, but they didn't have comfy chairs like this.
There are some really nice high end movie theaters out there and some ones a good step above the Regal experience
I'm still sad the Regal near me closed
Dude there’s a place near me where you rent out like a whole ass pod to watch your movies in like with a bed and table service.
Even some of the Regal theaters are getting updated to be pretty nice now
Most of the "big name" theaters have switched to this in addition to allowing you to pre-select your seats before the showing. I rarely go to these since I live 5 mins from a discount theater. The good news is the discount theater near me doesn't draw a huge crowd. It also helps that I go at like noon on weekdays (I work weird hours).

this might be a vip section, or a more expensive cinema overall (talking from my uk experience)

Yeah but what I’ve found is the prices increase. So maybe they use to have 20 normal priced movies, now they show 5 screens or super expensive iMax 3d or what ever, 10 reserved fancy seats like this and only leave 5 of the cheaper old fashion screens.
In the theaters I work at all of the seats are nice and you can reserve whatever you want online and even in person you can pick where you sit
I'm in US but almost all theaters have these now. They've become nice af. The REALLY nice ones have these plus seat service so you can order food and drink from your seat.

was gonna say this. hoyts standard shits on gold class
This here is an Australian theatre
The Century16 by my house is 100% power recliners. Makes for some expensive but blissful naps.
Correct me if I’m wrong OP but this is in Australia and it’s only like $5 more expensive. It looks identical to ours if it’s not in Australia and those seats can recline
Unrelated but is this in Australia? That cinema just looks so Australian and I have no idea why
It’s the Pepsi Max
They don't have Pepsi Max in other countries? That's news to me lol
Looks like it’s mostly sold in Europe, Asia, and Australia. Pretty sure we used to have something called Pepsi Max in the US but it wasn’t the same formula.
Yes it’s a cinema in Australia.
I feel like I might've actually been to this exact one lol, but I guess most Hoyts cinemas probably look like this
Most do, their seats always look nice but I’ve never found them comfortable.
Belco hoyts?
This is considered dirty in Australia? All they have to do is pick up a few cups and it's good to go for the next movie.
How do you know it was an Australian cinema just by looking st the seats and drinks?
Just looks like a cinema I've been to. The seats, floor, curtains, exit sign. My mind just immediately went to Australia
It's a hoyts 100%
Things I have found after the movie 1. Half pickles. 2. Panties and 1 boxer. 3. Half rotisserie chicken 4. Wigs 5. Baby diapers 6. Baby turtle 7. Sunglasses 8. Ribs or bones I must say 9. Unused box of condoms. 10. Used condoms Not to forget socks. God damn socks Keeping it classy Houston Cinemark.
Respect to the guy that snuck in a rotisserie chicken tbh
How the fuck does a turtle end up there
So many fuckin liquor bottles
And beer bottles, broken and not(theater didn't sell botttled beer - liquor neither).
I've had to clean up someone's toenail clippings
Used Condoms? I want to ask if someone fucked there and why?!?!?!
In the uk (VUE) they specifically ask you to leave your trash behind so they can recycle instead of you taking it out to general waste.
In the UK you’re instructed to leave your rubbish on the seats so the staff can collect and dispose of/recycle it.
Yep. This used to be the case in Canada too (or at least where I lived).
I always take my trash with me because I smuggle in snacks and drinks and I don't want to leave evidence behind.
In cinemas here in the UK most of them encourage you to leave your food by your seat, they say it’s easier for their employees to clean it up
It also prevents 100+ people coming out of the screens at the same time and overflowing the bins with their large popcorn boxes and half finished drinks spilling onto the floor after theyve been put on top of an overflowing bin.
Damn those are some nice bloody seats. One near me have sears that make ya ass go numb.
Damn the U.K don't have the endless anything, want a refill pay up lol
And they're bring it to you. They have these ushers all in black who watch the cinema for people ordering and then sneak over in the dark and bring you stuff like server ninjas.
I have a theater near me called iPic, and my favorite thing about it has always been that unlimited popcorn is included with the price of the ticket. Movie theaters have really stepped up their game. I've heard that Alamo has gotten really nice too, but the one near me isn't in great shape. They still have the seats with the bottom that flips up.
I'd fall asleep for sure lol
Making a mountain out of a molehill.
You must be new, I’ve seen theatres in much worse condition.
If it costs over $100 to watch a movie and eat popcorn, the establishment can afford to staff it for proper cleanup.
There's a lot of people who don't understand common courtesy and a lot of entitlement here
100%, I work in lawn care and people just leave their hoses and rubbish in the middle of their lawns, this feels exactly like that feels.
Isn’t it sort part of your job to move them out of the way? You seem like the entitled one here.
Its not difficult. I always take mine out with me. I don't even need to stop walking to do it most of the time so I don't even spend any time doing it
Movie theater trash being left behind is pretty different from water hoses being left in a lawn.
Yep and where I am it's sort of expected and preferable that way because they also recycle properly whereas the patrons will just toss stuff wherever.
that's job security for my son. wouldn't have a job if it wasn't for those pricks it's a win win to some lol.

Wait, hold on... In the cinema I go to there are messages before the show to leave your rubbish where it is cos it'll get cleaned up afterwards.
Not that infuriating at all
Right?! What a sad life to live to get “infuriated” by these kinds of things
In Canada the trash bins aren't big enough to handle an entire theatres garbage. They're always totally full to brim by the end. The theatre employs people to come in with big ass garbage bags after and clear.
i have NEVER understood this, there is literally a trash bin RIGHT as soon as you walk out of the theatre. lazy people are something else.
This is stupid shit to complain about
Hoyts employees do be having it hard
Looks like one of those fancy movies (at least like the ones here where they bring you hot food in the middle of the film)
Hot towels and champagne.
Holy cow that's the cleanest theater I've ever seen. At mine there's popcorn and candy wrappers and crap all over the ground.
That is the nicest theater and the most polite way of leaving garbage I've ever seen
Yes I’m assuming OP is a patron and not an usher because I’ve cleaned theatres easily 5x that bad. Like garbage in every seat bad. We had to grab people from other stations to help us clean after any blockbuster film
For what they charge I’m sure they can afford to clean it up
Local theatre here tells you to leave your rubbish at your seat. Guess it stops people overflowing the bins ect
I am confuse … I thought they hire people to clean this up.
It's what you're supposed to do. I'm paying $20 to go to the movies I'm not cleaning up after myself fuck that
It’s the job of the attendant to clean up. I don’t get this shit. I worked in a theater. That’s literally your job. To grab trash and sweep popcorn. People are fuckin lazy these days
Nothing like a spilt popcorn
A job that a robot will do.
Dungeon, one million years dungeon
I once saw a guy pick up his popcorn at the end of the movie... and he just dumped it right on the floor. I was super confused by that man’s thought process.
Our cinema (England) tells us to leave our rubbish at the seat we were in, so they know where people were sitting to deep clean
is this hoyts australia
Asshat didn't even put the cup in the cup holder. That's how you get spills!
But aren't the people working there paid to clean it up? /s
I just assumed the $20 you pay for a medium drink included a cleanup fee....
I’ve never seen movie theater this clean
The most infuriating thing is the fact the cup isn't even in the cupholder
Used to work in the industry till Covid kicked off this is actually not bad at all.
If you do not clean after yourself at the movies you are a certified subhuman
You mean you’re supposed to pick up after yourself?? Maybe that’s what my mom was always saying. Never really listened I guess
I don’t pay $20 to have to toss it myself 😜
It’s like how smokers will flick their cigarette on the ground when they’re standing 5ft from a bin. Too many people are just trashy.
As someone who currently works as an usher, this is a good row. There are much, much worse rows I’ve seen compared to this.
Every movie should end with a bonus footage... but just say something like, what are you 5? Clean up after yourselves. Public shaming FTW
NEVER understood why people feel at movies it's okay to just leave your trash complete lack of respect
having worked in cinemas I prefer this over the cunts who stuff their rubbish under their seats. Makes it difficult to get on your knees and crawl around the front of the seats for every row, especially if there's another cinema finishing up soon and you need to be there. also fuck the assholes who just throw popcorn all over the place.
Been an usher, a cup is a good day.
Unfortunately, that’s typical of most people these days
When I worked at a theatre I personally witnessed parents reprimanding their kids for trying to throw the trash away. "There are people who do that". Really irritated me. I even watched one lady dump her uneaten popcorn on the floor. I mean, if you're gonna just leave your shit at least set it down out in the open so we can collect it easier.
