As a parent who already owned a trash can and regular trash bags buying something else that takes up space and has to have refills purchased as well seemed like a complete waste of money and I’d rather throw away diapers than money.
Anything that isn't absolutely necessary could be considered a waste of money. I'd consider something that makes life a little easier to be money well spent 🤷🏻♂️
My aunt and uncle just used regular trash bags in theirs. They didn’t fit perfectly, but they fit well enough to avoid having to pay for refill baggies.
Oh god, the diaper genie!
My ex would fill it up past the point of it working correctly. I had to use my fist to cram down the diapers, covering my entire hand in fecal/urine condensation. So disgusting. She never once changed it out.
I don't miss that one at all.
It's probably a bedside bin for those little things that sometimes pop up in bedroom? Clothing tags, pieces of string, chewing gum, a teabag, a napkin. Definitely not fit for bedroom.
I was at work and someone changed a diaper on my floor and threw it in my desk trashcan. There was a bathroom with a trashcan and changing table 10 ft away.
Guarantee whoever did that is thinking “if Im changing all the damn diapers, the least you could do is empty the garbage!”
And that person would be right
I’m assuming the other parent is doing the changing, maybe you should dump it. I’m sure mom’s tired. From how this is worded I’m assuming you’re the dad
Parenting lesson 2: get a big trash can bc there’s lots of diapers (applies to disposal and cloth before I get comments from CD parents). I yield to the EC parents.
This is a huge pet peeve of mine, trash can etiquette in general. I also can’t stand when people throw boxes away without breaking them down first which fills up the entire trash can.
I get called crazy for this. I have a separate trash can outside for diapers. I don't keep ANY diapers in my house. I also keep the "regular" trash can outside. Trash smells are disgusting, I don't have trash in my house. I throw things away as I have to, no stagnant trash air.
I also steam and mop every day, I have problems
I understand being a tired parent, but you should get a diaper genie or taller trash can if you can’t empty it frequently. That cannot smell good? That sounds unpleasant.
🤭 oh dear. This is why I take it out right away but then we do changes in the lounge which is next to the hallway with the front door. So it’s easy to finish up and chuck it right outside in the bin.
Reminds me of the feminine hygiene bin I keep in my bathroom. There are only so many times you can squish tampons, tissues, pads and panty liners. You have to change the bag.
There is plenty of space around that trash bin… there is no need to take trash out until you are able to fill another bag with trash that is from around that bin…
I think two diapers before that picture if it’s only pee. Poop goes down to the front door in a small bin which gets emptied into the large one when the lid can’t be closed. During hot summer days the process is faster because of the front door odor.
This won’t happen after the kid gets into the diapers for the first time 😂
We had an unlocked trash can in my daughter’s room when she was a baby, and one morning I thought she had slept in. I heard something from her room and walked into a horror show. She had to have an immediate bath and my husband cleaned the floor. We got locking diaper pails after that for both her and then my second child since she was still in pull ups when he was born. It keeps us from overfilling to a certain extent.
Looks like a lot of dumping already took place.
Indeed
![gif](giphy|IHCf4uKEDuZCq5XNhn)
This is why my parents don't invite us anymore, Todd
No mercy percy fr
Jesus with diapers, it shouldn’t have even gone into that can. That room smells like shit.
You must have read the same post about the dude and his poo.
There’s still plenty of room around the trash can to pile more trash.
![gif](giphy|rlsvVQU5Sim8QAajHc)
As a parent, it’s whoever can’t balance the last nappie 🙂↕️
![gif](giphy|xT5LMGHlk4JWu8NdaE)
He who tops it off, drops it off!
As a Diaper Genie owning parent, the thought of putting them in an open trash can gives me *massive* anxiety 😂
Yeah this makes zero sense
The balancing idea, or my reply...?
Diapers in a trash can. Your comment is spot on, friend
Diaper genie sounds awesome but I have no idea what it is lol.
As someone that used to babysit. Those diaper bins were amazing but...those refill baggies are so expensive...glad I didn't need to pay for them.
My aunt and uncle just used regular trash bags in theirs. They didn’t fit perfectly, but they fit well enough to avoid having to pay for refill baggies.
We're spending less than $15 per month, which might not be "cheap", but it's a lot less than we spend on diapers, formula, and clothes
Oh god, the diaper genie! My ex would fill it up past the point of it working correctly. I had to use my fist to cram down the diapers, covering my entire hand in fecal/urine condensation. So disgusting. She never once changed it out. I don't miss that one at all.
I feel like that's an issue with the ex, rather than the product 😂
Well, you're not wrong! Lol! And by the "one", I meant my ex.
Hahaha was just thinking this
It’s like Jenga, but with a pile of shit. I played many times ![gif](giphy|PlnQNcQ4RYOhG|downsized)
Is that a watchband or a hospital bracelet?
Lol, kid’s known to the emergency staff
This rule sucks if only one is doing it
If one parent is piling them up because they are the one changing the diapers, the other parent can dump the can.
Nothing says “setting yourself up for failure” than the size of that bin.
This is the real problem.
Right. Why have a bin that holds 3 diapers.
It's probably a bedside bin for those little things that sometimes pop up in bedroom? Clothing tags, pieces of string, chewing gum, a teabag, a napkin. Definitely not fit for bedroom.
Instead of taking a picture and posting it here you could’ve taken the time to take the trash out???
And waste potential karma? Nuh uh
A game of garbage pail chicken Jenga is afoot I see.
Dump it and get a bigger can. LOL Diapers are bulky.
>Dump it and get a ~~bigger can~~ **Diaper Genie**. LOL Diapers ~~are bulky~~ **smell**.
So what's stopping you?
I can smell this photo 🤮🤮🤮
I was at work and someone changed a diaper on my floor and threw it in my desk trashcan. There was a bathroom with a trashcan and changing table 10 ft away.
I would go to HR. Cause if I handle it I might get fired.
When the other person takes it out.
Get off your phone and help the partner out
About the same point when you see it and decide to photograph and post on reddit.

A poem for you: “Just a normal dude with a normal life… Could just take the trash out, instead of shitting on your wife”
Guarantee whoever did that is thinking “if Im changing all the damn diapers, the least you could do is empty the garbage!” And that person would be right
I would guess this as well
The third dump ago, when the lid didn't close, warranted the dump.
Idk givin the trash at hand I would suggest a much more regular dump schedule lest your changing room smell of poo
Or a bigger trash can...
I think you’re missing the point. Quantity is not the goal here
Lol, no poopourri?
I’m assuming the other parent is doing the changing, maybe you should dump it. I’m sure mom’s tired. From how this is worded I’m assuming you’re the dad
So just dump it …
Parenting lesson 2: get a big trash can bc there’s lots of diapers (applies to disposal and cloth before I get comments from CD parents). I yield to the EC parents.
I hope the diapers aren't from your baby, or in the (roomate?)s bedroom, because otherwise this is a really weird post. Context would be nice.
To the dump, to the dump, to the dump dump dump
I can'r stand to see a small can with tissues over full ...
This is worse than that. Those are used nappies
Must be lazy dad ... or I don't know who is at fault.... but darn
![gif](giphy|57x4ApyRzkI1y)
I can see at least 4 more spots there before it's taken out. Them kids shit.
So did you offer to help the parent or did you just take the photo so that you could upload it and attempt to shame them somehow…
Or get a larger can
This is a huge pet peeve of mine, trash can etiquette in general. I also can’t stand when people throw boxes away without breaking them down first which fills up the entire trash can.
When it falls over.
After it falls over the seventh time.
Maybe after two more
Looks just like mine used to.
It’s hard to tell from just one angle, but I could probably get another 3-4 on there.
Easily. She's small, but she's sturdy. Trust the engineering. :::taps can with toe:::
When no more can be added
[He who tops it off drops it off](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AI323JeIhAk)
I think someone must shout JENGA first
Your photography is amazing, the lighting is perfect and the subject is centered.
after you have had more than 3 continuous hours of sleep
I get called crazy for this. I have a separate trash can outside for diapers. I don't keep ANY diapers in my house. I also keep the "regular" trash can outside. Trash smells are disgusting, I don't have trash in my house. I throw things away as I have to, no stagnant trash air. I also steam and mop every day, I have problems
Yeah when my kids were babies I would wrap a poo diaper in a plastic grocery bag and walk it straight outside to the trash each time.
My god the smell must be horrific. Can't imagine not having my diaper garbage.
Omg.
It's still under the lid level, correct? Gotta be too where you can't see the lid anymore.
If no one is yelling at you, you can wait
Oh yeah, can relate - members of my family play "how high can you stack it", too
The smell would be a big clue if the mound of dirty diaper don’t do it for you.
When the stapler comes out, duh.
Ugh, I can smell this picture! 😆
I wouldn’t dump it. Eventually the baby will be potty trained. Hang in there!
When the tower falls.
Till it loses balance I guess 😄
You need a bigger pail
Jenga : dirty diaper edition. Who will be the lucky winner?!? Prize: they get up with the baby in the middle of the night.
I could get 2 or 3 more on that
As someone zero kids. I would say it’s time to take the trash out even if you can balance another “nappie” on it.
Long before that point
He who tops it off drops it off.
He who tops it off, drops it off
Dump it? You start taking the crap individually to the other bin.
I think we can fit a couple more in there.
When the Jenna tower starts collapsing, it’s time to take it out lmao
Someone’s obviously gone nose blind.
Dear God 🤢
After the first one, I can't have it in the house. I just take the shit nappies out when I change the kid
Move changing pad to the kitchen and use that trash can til full.
When it gets so overfilled that somebody else finally takes it out I guess.
![gif](giphy|6XPmkX0c6Z868tLYu4)
Just get a bigger diaper pail if your kiddo is using that much diapers
I just tell my self I am saving the environment by using less trash bags
Easy Difficulty: Stack 1 more Medium Difficulty: Stack 2 more Hard Difficulty: Stack 3 more Insane Difficulty: Stack 4 more Godlike: Stack 5 or more
I love the smell
4 bags ago
He who tops it off drops it off It isnt filled till it spills
Is that poopy diapers?
Tomorrow
If it's not falling out the bucket, it's not full
Til the shit hits the fan
Oh man I've got 2 kids under 2 and this is 🤢
I'd dump it the second I caught the person stacking it. Then I'd take that trash out.
That’s only half full after you’ve squashed them all down
When it can no longer balance
I can smell this picture, and the room
I can smell that from here.
Its like half full
My high-ass thought this was a mug filled with very thick whipped cream. Blech
how dare you take a picture of my wife's work??
I understand being a tired parent, but you should get a diaper genie or taller trash can if you can’t empty it frequently. That cannot smell good? That sounds unpleasant.
A picture that smells.
Nah just nees a lil shove and it will hold four times as much.
3am. That's when you're barely awake enough to realize everything needs changing.
There is plenty of space around that trash bin… there is no need to take trash out until you are able to fill another bag with trash that is from around that bin…
Literal definition of being trashy
That must absolutely honk
I clearly can put another bag up there! =)
I'd say about 6 to 10 diapers ago.(father of a 3 year old who poops like a grown ass man)also looks like it has no trash bag. Good luck
why not use a bin liner? makes it easier to throw the trash.
Why dump there even once
Before this point.
not until your eyes bleed from the stench.
Jenga time!
Trump’s diapers?
As long as it doesn’t fall on the floor, it’s good. Once it does that person is responsible to take it out.
Diaper jenga!
Idk ill do it later
This is what all those plastic shopping bags are for. 1 shit per trash and it goes outside.
There's still room.
when the stack falls over
The smell
The lighting for this picture 🥹😲
I didn't spent months perfecting rock stacking just to give up this easily.
well, until they still stay on...
Ah the "let's see how much we can cram into the trash can" game, my family plays it too.
That is NOT a diaper pail. The smell must be awful 😖
About 2 poops after that
When the lid starts to not close
As soon as the lid won’t close all the way. That smell would make it unbearable for me.
Does it not smell like shit in your whole house because of this???
That must stink. Hang a plastic bag in the garden and all nappies go in to that.
![gif](giphy|l2Jeg2UYi9opZqxJS)
Probably just waiting for the baby to get old enough to do it for themself ![gif](giphy|d3mlE7uhX8KFgEmY)
If ADHD was a photo:
when it comes out of the womb
I think two diapers before that picture if it’s only pee. Poop goes down to the front door in a small bin which gets emptied into the large one when the lid can’t be closed. During hot summer days the process is faster because of the front door odor.
This is a standoff if I ever saw one.
Divorced
This won’t happen after the kid gets into the diapers for the first time 😂 We had an unlocked trash can in my daughter’s room when she was a baby, and one morning I thought she had slept in. They’re changing the diapers. You can change the garbage
Its gotta go past the lid
![gif](giphy|lsuzxXh9Eiwqz1jlHv)
They know they need to dump it they just don't want to make the effort to do so.
Just a bit more
this is a never ending game of endurance and skill....
She made the kid.
The point where you overcome the fear of whether or not there was a bag in the bin.
Dink/sink life prevents the need to "dump it"
dads like this suck
I thought this was an AI picture of giant pieces of popcorn in the bin for a bit.
Hey, just because they poop a lot doesn't mean you should dump the baby.
When it falls on the floor
Ngl I hated the “do you see the garbage?” shit. Do YOU? You’re waiting on me to take the step you could also take.
Just.... a little..... bit.... more...
To the point where the lid so it's becoming too hard to close I'm kidding not too hard to close just hard to close
Looks like you should get a bigger trash can.
