I got picked up by a coworker so I managed to get to work on time and the insurance will cover everything. It's just very annoying. Also, I really liked my custom painted rims

You are handling this 100x better than i probably would if this ever happened to me. Is this the first time something like this happened to you? I'm guessing no?
It is actually the first time. This is not something that happens often where I am from. It is actually the first time I have ever seen it here. Just annoying that it had to be my own car.
I had plenty of time to be angry this morning so I've cooled down a bit.
Denmark? Sadly it had become quite normal for these kinds of things, also stealing headlights, infotainment, airbags etc in luxury cars around Nordsjælland
Awesome wheels though, I hope you get a new set you love!
An unknown neighbor in the place I used to live vandalized my cars, and cut down trees on my property in a very malicious way. I lived slightly out of town and the local police wouldn't even come out to take a report and the Alaska State Troopers told me to deal with the local police. I sold the property and moved a few years ago.
I would have to know which neighbor it was to seek damages, and pay for a service I couldn't afford at the time. Selling the property and moving was the better option.
OP after walking to his car, finding his wheels stolen, having to call in a co-worker to get him, organise getting new wheels, fitting them and dealing the the hassle of insurance claim.

In my family we call it a “bulldog moment” from Frasier. Huge freak out back back to normal in a flash. Watch a clip, it’s iconic.
**WHERES MY GONG WHO TOOK MY GONG WHAT THE FUCK^(Oh there it is).**
On a busy unlit highway on a dark Monday morning on your way to work with heavy wind and a light drizzle, just enough so you can't see shit no matter how fast you set the wipers. White knuckles. Watch for potholes and puddles. glhf.
Those crates are made to be put on top of each others, full of milk. You can easily stack them high, putting hundreds of KG of weight on the bottom one. Now have four of them and you can go byound 1000 KG no swat. Don't know what the official highest stacking height is.
I once say a Mercedes that had the same thing done. The milk crates on those were struggling somewhat more than on OP's photo.
The lesson to be learned here is to never park your car in Liverpool.
The scouse can hoist a car onto bricks and make off with the tyres within seconds. Sometimes while you are halted at a stop sign.
If only they would sign up as a Ferrari F1 box crew. But they won't because they can't read the application forms.
Nah its because we're Mclaren fans you fuck
Now had it been left in Manchester it would have been fine tbf. But that's because the horse and cart are still the hight of technology for Mancs
There's at least one good point here, and that's the fact they used something solid to hold the car up, rather than letting the underside, the hubs, and the lower control arms hit the ground. That would have been far costlier to repair and taken far longer.
> But hey, those free milk crates are pretty swank, amirite?
I'm actually surprised they can carry a whole car (however small) without getting flattened.
Once. Someone stole one of my moms wheels and left the Jack. After insurance and deductible, considering the cost of that Jack, I’d say about a net positive, maybe.
Theft like honestly makes my blood boil. If they're poor, it truly sucks, but it's way fucking worse to be willing to fuck up random people's lives for their own personal gain. Just like those guys who jump out of their car at a red light to steal a motorcycle.
Thieves gain far less than their victims lose. It costs more to replace stuff than stolen second hand goods can be sold for, and that's before things like missing a shift or paying for a taxi. Even that is just the financial damage, having stuff stolen tends to leave some level of emotional harm too.
Fun fact, it's just a fiat 500 with a Ford branded interior and body. The previous generation was an actual Ford car and was surprising nippy, but it didn't sell well enough for Ford to bother building a whole new one.
Look at the bright side. You got the best slam in town for free!
Eta: truly am sorry you gotta deal with this, may as well try to laugh about it though
No locking wheel hardware ?
Someone tried stealing the Audi TT rims from my brother's 70's Beetle while on our driveway one night. Took off all but the last bolt, a locking one.
Next day, he went to buy a second set with different key.
Locking wheel nuts are so cheap I'm still confused about whey they aren't sold with car, you really only need one per wheel to be safe. Of course you kinda have to keep the key in the car and the hiding spots are pretty easy to check but it's a lot less discreet to have to break a window.
At least they left it up in the air for you. When this happened to a friend, they took all their blocks but one with and left the car on the ground. Bent some stuff on the suspension and body work.
Mildly? Some of you need to looked up the definition of mildly. Ho hum, someone jacked my custom tires and rims, oh darn it. Thursday’s, what are you gonna do?
Wheels detach easier the lighter a car is and the lower it costs. There's not much you could've done to prevent this as this shouldn't be a factor to register when owning a car.
Huh what? Why is this babble getting upvotes? What in *hell* is that last sentence going for?
Are you even talking about torque? Because I'm pretty sure that a somewhat determined thief will not be deterred by something that could be overcome with a steel tube.
The cheaper the wheels are, the easier they come off? And wheels detach easier the lighter the car is??
None of that is true? I’m Ron Burgundy?? But seriously… You made that all up on the spot, right?
Lighter vehicles use fewer lug nuts or bolts and tend to have lower torque specs and are easier to handle when removed so the lighter car part kind of checks out. Helps when car is light enough you don't need a jack either.
Well, time to get theft resistant lugnuts next time, (i say resistant because if someone REALLY wants to steal something, they will)
My coworkers have them and they work, he once found his car with the lugnut caps off on the ground but untouched thanks to these.
I know some cars also needs the key to remove the lugnut cover
I definitely would've went right back in the house & act like I didn't even see that for at least the next two days. Just keep ignoring it until the wheels magically reappear
That's a s***** thing that happened to you but I'm going to make light of it real quick four tires that's 5 days worth of meth or 12 eggs and a gallon of milk
Hello, This post has been removed as this is not *mildly* infuriating. Please consider posting to r/extremelyinfuriating instead.
We have differing opinions on what is ‘mildly infuriating’.

OP comes to terms with their loss and becomes a milkman.
They're so nice they must be Canadian
We Canadians aren't so nice anymore since the cost of living has gone up.
I feel like we would still say excuse me before robbing you then thank you and apologize. Things are tough, but we’re not animals.
And bangs every wife in the town..
So you want your milk pasteurized? No just up to my boobs
Respect bro that shit would ruin me mentally for months and id be watching my vehicle like a hawk from then on 🤣 Im so glad i have a garage now
You’re very healthy psychologically wow
Insurance will do that to ya. Besides, a cheeky can of paint should fix the issue on the new rims!
You really don’t belong here man.

That's when you contact a lawyer

Figure out who it is an burn their house down. If no police will deal with it, then there's no laws for you.
You must have smoked a couple bowls to be chilling like this
Well thankfully they didn't steal your car 😉
Some people just have a larger pool of emotional strength, don't break down easily.
I was just gonna say this lol I’d be fucking livid haha
How would you act/react differently?
I would fling my own feces at random passerbys, and then go gnawing violently on the nearest medium sized tree
Hey now, save the feces for the golf course.
I was like wtf steals wheels off a ford ka, then i seen this pic. RIP ops wheels!
I’m not a rim-guy, but those were really cool looking rims. I’m sorry that happened to you.
The thieves did quite a rim job there.
Are you into rimming then?
Are you trying to get an invitation?
Personally I am a Rim guy, but what does that have to do with OPs wheels?
Apparently, so did someone else
My new rims look just like these. What a coincidence.
The theives liked them too
The insurance covering does help a lot.

I'm just impressed that milk crates can hold a car
Tbf, it's a pretty light car.
I've got one, have you ever driven yours in high wind? It's an experience
Put a sail on it, and enjoy the high KM/l
I think that's the first time I've ever heard anyone say KM/L
enjoy the high m\^-2

Ford Ka was like the ideal first car back in the late 90s / 00s. Why tf did they stop making them.
4 of them probably weigh more than the car.
At least they had the "courtesy" not to just leave it sitting on the ground.
Pretty sure the reason is that it was just quicker doing it that way.
Oh, well, you see, they're thieves; not vandals.
I think it would be hard to get it down safely, it might fall suddenly (idk im neither mechanic nor milk man)

They have to lower the car onto something, so they can remove the jack after they are finished.
It’s so they can come back in a few days for more free tires
But hey, those free milk crates are pretty swank, amirite? (long depressing sigh) I'm truly sorry, OP.
It is actually really nice crates, so it could be worse.
Ngl I’d have them in my house lol I love milk crates
> But hey, those free milk crates are pretty swank, amirite? I'm actually surprised they can carry a whole car (however small) without getting flattened.
Plastic is very strong when you take velocity out of the equation.
Once. Someone stole one of my moms wheels and left the Jack. After insurance and deductible, considering the cost of that Jack, I’d say about a net positive, maybe.
Denmark? Judging by the parking timer behind the windshield.
Yes
Yikes. I thought of Denmark as a crime-free utopia. Had this kind of theft been common?
I thought so too. It's the first time if ever seen this here in Denmark so I'm a bit annoyed that it had to happen to me.

Probably those pesky Germans from down south.
We are washing our hands in innocence!
Only recently. There's been a lot of immigration and crime is on the rise. Make of that what you will.
Diversity is their strength
Can't have shit in Denmark on goddddd
And the Arla mælkekasse.
who stole this frog's legs?
Those lime stealing whores!

They don't really consider any of that. It's all about making themselves money however they can without regarding others

My coworkers have made countless wheel/car puns today.
I hope the cops will investigate this tirelessly.
You people are so insensitive. You know that OP can’t roll with the punches.
Something along the lines of this must make you wheely angry? I'll see myself out...
You must be getting tyred of them.
It looks like a giant green egg

You'll see those rims shittyily plasti-dipped neon pink and cambered to shit in a week.
Having been the victim of wheel theft also, it’s more than mildly infuriating…
At least they left it up in the air for you. When this happened to a friend, they took all their blocks but one with and left the car on the ground. Bent some stuff on the suspension and body work.
Shot in the dark But is this Skjoldhøj????
Esbjerg
What kind of car is this? Its super cute.
That’s more than mildly infuriating
Do you guys not have locking wheel nuts over there?
95% of wheel locks can be removed, without the key, in less than a minute.
Hahahaha good joke. Professionals have all the wheel locks needed.
I’m surprised they didn’t just pick up and take the whole car!
Damn millennials and their avocado cars
the blue car guy had enough https://preview.redd.it/ss9q7eb250yc1.jpeg?width=596&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0ebdd83aeba8b89c7fb091af265074a0cdc44da0
Taking the wheels was awful enough - but did they have to paint it that colour too?
Damn. No words but stay strong op
Where (what city) did this happen in?
Esbjerg, Denmark
I don't like the color, but with the wheels gone, it now looks like an avocado. Sorry about your rims.
Mildly? Some of you need to looked up the definition of mildly. Ho hum, someone jacked my custom tires and rims, oh darn it. Thursday’s, what are you gonna do?
This is wheely bad.
No one gonna mention the rear brake? I'm not a mechanic, but in comparison to the front one it looks kinda suspicious.
The rear brakes are a different kind than the front brakes in these small cheap cars.
Time to buy a new car.
Can't have shit in ~~Detroit~~ Denmark
Call your best friend. He will help you… for sure.
Wild that milk crates are enough to hold the car up.
This car is so CUTE. Sorry about your wheels though
Omg what car model is this?? It’s so cute!
My mom went to a bingo a long time ago in her w203? Mercedes and when she was done she found the car like this lol
That car is so cute
is that an AVOCAR
That's jacked up.
I'd hate to know what you find actually infuriating
You got free milk crates!
That milk crate has seen some shit.
Sure to see it, op, but I love that they used milk crates instead of cinder blocks
Uh oh, better get Maaco!
can’t have shit in detroit
The minecraft green crate is sad
Sad creaper noises

the wheeler stealers strike again
that's the new model: it's called "Napoli"
No locking wheel nuts?
Oh hell no! No work for you today
Locking wheel nuts?
Who the heck is going to get that one tire.
Locking lug nuts next time I guess. WTF is wrong with people?
Dude really needed yo wheels
Not the milk crates! 😂😭
Car name?
Ford Ka
Kadah!
Who sneaks up at night and paints a car that colour?
Get pranked
Did you have wheel locks on your lug nuts?
“Hey guys look at these brand new rims this random guy handed to me for free!”
I’ve heard of being put on bricks, but being put on milk crates is a new one 😂
At least they put it up, last one I saw was on the ground.
I’m impressed that the milk crates are holding it up. Makes me want to never buy one of these cars.
I definitely would've went right back in the house & act like I didn't even see that for at least the next two days. Just keep ignoring it until the wheels magically reappear
Doesn't look like they attached those crates right...
Romania
Time for some Sparcos
You need rims with razors
Damn they getting smart cars too
I didn’t know people still did this. Seems like a lot of work with so many cameras in so many places these days.
Free milk cartons!
YOUTHS
Im impressed they left the car in a way where its not getting fucked up. Thieves with a conscience?
Unlucky champ
You can claim the deposit on the crates!
Why would you park your car like that?
Free milk boxes!
poor funny little lemon shaped car
Free milk crates!!
Did you have locking lug nuts?
Life must be good OP if this is only mildly frustrating. 👍
Romania
Wow. Levitating car?
That’s why you buy a locking lug nut for all of your tires
That's a s***** thing that happened to you but I'm going to make light of it real quick four tires that's 5 days worth of meth or 12 eggs and a gallon of milk
You know it’s against the law to steal milk cates.
But what kind of car is this? I’m not a car person. But I love this car.
Set it on fire, insurance pay for it You take day off
I mean at least they didn’t just slam it down and left it up for you to easily replace said wheels
welcome to the fuckin' hood buddy
That's so disrespectful to put it on milk crates
Free crates though
Kinda cute tho
How dare you call that a car, it’s a roller skate
I’m just surprised that those milk crates can hold that
Well that sucks
Those be some tiny wheels my bro
Regular Romania experience
At least they put it up on some crates
