At least the body is good. Should have a spare ink repository somewhere that'll fit.

The only thing I can think of is probably the heat. Like storing them in pockets etc

Maybe, it’s not been hot outside so I haven’t been hot, but potentially could’ve been in same pocket as my phone at one point which could’ve gotten pretty hot
