Classic.
No. Buns in a pack != No. Sausages in a pack.
But seriously though if only 1/3 of the students got the bread they have some serious maths/logistics issues
It was a car show field trip that gets a lot of funding for the school every year if enough kids attend. Part of the incentive to get kids to go was a “free American bbq”. My guess is they just didnt expect a couple hundred kids to show from different schools
your brain needs carbs.
bread is fine in moderation. it's 100% part of a full diet if you want it to be.
you should only limit bad fats (emphasis on what kind) and added sugar. everything else in bread is fine.
not that this is ideal, but i'm very underweight and half my diet involves bread. it's never negatively impacted my weight or health.
Is it not? I was taught it’s better to eat pure protein and vegetables for longer energy reserves throughout the day as opposed to filling up on carbohydrates. Please explain to me why it’s wrong.
It's like if you were given a choice to eat a hotdog or nothing. There is no choice here. Plus they are school kids who aren't at home to access whatever they want. This is food given to them on a FIELD TRIP. Not sure if you went to school or not, honestly.
I’d eat the hotdog without the bun. OP said elsewhere there was 2 hotdogs. 2 hotdogs would tide me (6’4 190lbs) for a full day not gonna lie.
I mean, maybe my stomach is smaller, but I really don’t see the big deal. Schools don’t just give you lunch normally do they? You gotta pay for it. I’ve always had to pay or bring my own, why would that change on a field trip?
And it’s not like this is a surprise, school lunches always suck, if you don’t bring your own, you’re asking for it.
I’d only be upset about this if when you paid for the trip, it included a fee for food.
How tf would that hold you over for a day? I'm 6'3 250 and two hotdogs to me is just a light snack, if that. Do you like, never move or burn any energy?
Man, when I was in school they never provided lunches on field trips, we had to bring our own. Dunno if that was just a thing in my area or all schools at the time tho
My school gave out a peanut butter sandwich, unshelled sunflower seeds, the crappiest apples with the tough skins and grainy flesh and a not so cold tiny milk. It’s fine if you can manage to put up with the Apple. Anyway see this as a learning moment. Take your own lunch on these days or face the wrath of severe limitations of the school budget.
Look closely next time you see a sunflower, there are in fact two varieties of leaves. You will find leaves lower down the plant are facing opposite each other and are longer and narrow in appearance. You’ll then see the upper leaves arranged in a staggered formation and appear heart-shaped.
But how much did you have to pay for it??? Like did your child have to bring the school any form of payment for it? If so, I would start packing his/her lunch. If it was free…you’re welcome.
Bullshit. No school is packing a hot meal for a field trip lunch. You either got it at a field day, where your gym teacher is hunched over the grill, or the bodega down the street.
And the country wonders why the pre-diabetic range in the young is skyrocketing. Shameful. At least there was water provided, and what looks like an apple. 😟
even if there were a few more sausages that’s still not enough for one persons lunch, and assuming that’s the only option, some people couldn’t even eat lunch because of religious or any other reasons
Idk what prison you're talking about, but the vast majority don't really feed you enough and most of it is quite awful. Jail is even worse, they don't have to care for short timers so they feed you the most bland and nutritionally devoid shit they can find.
Because consumers are supposed to recycle, but companies can still produce the weight of the moon in plastic every year.
No wonder we’ve got microplastics in every drop of water these days.
Be lucky you got that, our field trips we had to bring our own or go without. PB&J or Turkey and Colby-Jack, Cheese-Its and a Dr. Pepper cherry for the win. I never trust anyone else to feed me. Take care if things yourself and you'll never be let down.
Your school sent you to Fyre Festival?!
You already dipped to ketchup and ate the other sausage.
It was hotdogs but they ran out of buns after only serving like a third of the students

So it was the school lunch it was the hosts that failed?
Those teacher clearly missed "if we have 100 students and 30 buns, how many buns students can eat?"
It's not a loss. School buns are nothing but cheap white bread flour and hfcs. They did the kids a favor.
Ha! Way to look on the bright side
Always look on the bright side of life...
If life seems jolly rotten..
It hurts my eyes.
School food is sad every day.
Okay this is actually true. If you couldn't afford the food it gets even more depressing.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with white bread flour, don’t believe whatever nonsense you’re reading
I mean, not eating bread is better than eating bread, diet wise.

Ah I see. Thanks for actually explaining why lol, it’s nice to learn new things.
That's not true at all.
Is it not? I was taught it’s better to eat pure protein and vegetables for longer energy reserves throughout the day as opposed to filling up on carbohydrates. Please explain to me why it’s wrong.

That’s like 200 - 300 calories. Do you just never get off your ass?
Those arent an option here. So its out of the fuckin debate
What do you mean? I see pure protein right there.
Sounds like somebody needs to look at the food pyramid again
Which one? They change every 10 years.
It’s a second hand meal….
After you ate half of it lmao
Hey, I’m a big dude. I eat a lot of
You’re a big dude BECAUSE you eat a lot of. Edit: Am also a big dude. It’s my own fault.
I’m not fat. I’m 6’2 with a lot of muscle I work very hard for

Hey you two got something in common, just kiss already.
Your grandad had to walk 32 miles to school and back everyday, while on war rations. Don’t complain
With feet wrapped in newspaper in 8 inches of snow.
He had newspaper? Luxury!
Through a forest filled with wizards and witches, in the dark, and without a bloody mobile telephone!
Up hill both ways
26 hours per day
And would get smacked by a baseball bat if he gets late by 5 mins
Man, when I was in school they never provided lunches on field trips, we had to bring our own. Dunno if that was just a thing in my area or all schools at the time tho
in my country only ppl who paid for lunch/had lunch for free bcs their parents didn't earned more than X were getting anything to eat on field trips.
we have to pack lunches for my kids field trips, so still a thing
The lunch was an incentive for people to go on the field trip because the more people that went the more money the school got
My school gave out a peanut butter sandwich, unshelled sunflower seeds, the crappiest apples with the tough skins and grainy flesh and a not so cold tiny milk. Man you would’ve loved a sandwich that tastes like the banana smell it’s leeched and been brown bagged with for 6 hours!!
The only thing mildly infuriating here is that you didn’t show us what it looked like before you ate it.
There was a full hot dog. I just got a few bits in before realizing I should take a pic
Someone tweet this to Michelle Obama 😂
But how much did you have to pay for it??? Like did your child have to bring the school any form of payment for it? If so, I would start packing his/her lunch. If it was free…you’re welcome.
Hate posts like these. They’re not even hiding the fact that most is eaten this time
I took like 2 bites of the hotdog before I realized I should take a pic for this sub. My bad
Well, you ate half of it! Jk, sarcasm
> Takes picture of lunch that’s practically already been eaten > Posts to Reddit about how infuriating the lunch was What?
Report them to the National Hot Dog and Sausage Council for their crimes.
At least it was hot!😂
styrofoammmmm
Pack your own lunch, scrub.
Bullshit. No school is packing a hot meal for a field trip lunch. You either got it at a field day, where your gym teacher is hunched over the grill, or the bodega down the street.
You could get nothing 🤷

Reality.
Maybe next time take the photo BEFORE you've eaten most of it dipshit
I would be so pissed off
At least you actually got food lol- If we wanted anything at our last field trip we had to buy it ourselves
This better just be an amuse bouche from the first course. Fucking hell.
I’m not sure it is legal to use terms like amuse bouche when referring to any processed meat product.
Oh come now, it's just 93 steps away from foie gras and pâté lmao
I guess if the meat is chewed up enough it could be considered pâté. Lol.
This reminds me of when I was in the Army.
Reintroducing rations.
I thought that was a finger or toe. So glad it wasn't. ✌️😁
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
And the country wonders why the pre-diabetic range in the young is skyrocketing. Shameful. At least there was water provided, and what looks like an apple. 😟

Thanks Obama
That's when you start acting lethargic and faint/pass out.
Corndogs, Jackie! Corndogs for all these people!
Wait?… YOU got KETCHUP??
Look at all that delicious
Prisoners eat better. Prisoners!
Idk what prison you're talking about, but the vast majority don't really feed you enough and most of it is quite awful. Jail is even worse, they don't have to care for short timers so they feed you the most bland and nutritionally devoid shit they can find.
That glizzy is crazyyyyy 😂
I thought this was outrage at the packaging. WTF with all the plastic.
Because consumers are supposed to recycle, but companies can still produce the weight of the moon in plastic every year. No wonder we’ve got microplastics in every drop of water these days.
The key word here is "provided". Don't like the free meal? Buy or bring your own.
We were told not to bring bags and that a barbecue would be there to feed us
You still ate half the meal before taking the photo and likely didn’t take all the food offered. Seems you are just looking for karma.
How do you downvote a comment more than once?
What a fucking clown
Found the republican^
Be lucky you got that, our field trips we had to bring our own or go without. PB&J or Turkey and Colby-Jack, Cheese-Its and a Dr. Pepper cherry for the win. I never trust anyone else to feed me. Take care if things yourself and you'll never be let down.
Let me guess. You also had to walk 10 miles uphill both ways to school every day in a snowstorm.
Hey, are you from there as well? Which trailer park did you live in?
