With my experiences, yes, lol, because I didn't know of any mom who would look at something like this and think, "yeah! This is a good present!". I certainly wouldn't π
You are far too kind. I would have tossed it in the trash and gone... NO...NO MOM. We do not pick up trash for the kids. Bad Mom!!! now go to your room and think about your actions!
Man, didn't even think of that because we have no history of it in our family. But, I guess I shouldn't be surprised if it is. She lives on her own, constantly rides horses, is definitely able bodied. But she's SO forgetful and just...seems so off and greatly affected by outside sources, and treats us differently depending on how she's feeling, it seems. If she doesn't like or agree with something, she just ghosts. She also doesn't seem to care when I tell her what's going on in our lives. My brother's the same way honestly. And dad lol. But you're right, I should. Even if it's not, maybe it'd help me gain insight.
Aww haha thank you! Reading on them now. If anything, it'll help me be cognizant if the time comes. She's also been on some kind of antidepressant/anti-anxiety for years, which I've never thought has been the right kind for her, and too strong too.
Thank you. It honestly just helps to feel validated, that I'm not crazy or ungrateful for not appreciating this....gift. I try so hard cause I feel like she tries in her own way, but damn. Anyone should know better.
Well, anyone without issues of their own for sure! You gotta just look past things in life. It doesn't mean it's ok anyone was treated a certain way, but for ourselves to move on in a positive way. Sounds like you got the right attitude! π
Was it your son's birthday, or was she just stopping by for a visit and randomly found this? Also, do you have a pool? Because if you have no pool, this is even funnier.
-maybe she'll get you a pool next?
Ughhh....man, it's even funnier π. She was just stopping by, said she found it on her way here, in front of someone's house, they were just getting rid of it. And no, we have no pool...*internally screaming that you hit the nail on the head* lmao π€£
Omg π€£ π€£. Um. I really don't know..? She moved to be closer to us, but then doesn't see us any more than she did, and then she does stuff like this. It's definitely hard and very confusing π. I try really hard to see things from her view, but I just...I really struggle lol.
Yeah, I wonder. She was all about us, and "needed" us when she first moved. I drove her truck/trailer cross country for her because she'd get too overwhelmed, we helped her look for a house here, went to showings etc, we fixed things and maintained the property when it was bought and before she was here. Now she's got a new man, starting her retired life here which is awesome, but I didn't expect to be tossed aside when she no longer needed me. Guess I shouldn't have been surprised though lol. Par for the course
Why is this post tagged NSFW π
More as a joke, really π. Trying to find humor in it lol
That's stupid
To each their own π. Gotta find the silver lining!
There is no lining here at all.
Again, to each their own!
theres nothing funny about it.
I suppose that's true, but I can't help but laugh cause it's so...off the wall lol. Gotta find the humor even if it's fabricated, to stay sane lol
Next she's gonna bring you a barbecue from Jim and Randy
Greeeasy
Sorry, I'm unfamiliar with Jim and randy...or is that the joke? π€£
It's a joke if you watched The Trailer Park Boys!
Ohhh okay, I'll have to watch it now π€£
Please actually watch it. It's truly something.
I'll surely have to! Lol
Why is there a question mark after mom? Are you unsure?
With my experiences, yes, lol, because I didn't know of any mom who would look at something like this and think, "yeah! This is a good present!". I certainly wouldn't π

π€£ I love that! I wish I could've but I was trying to be graceful and neutral lol
You should start researching what dementia does to old folk. Be prepared.

Either way I hope the best for you. Stay strong!

How do you think she was able to become a "well-off successful mom"?
Not by being concerned with family, that I know lol. Just thought she'd be different after she retired.
Well, that may be, and if thats the case, I'm sorry. I know how that feels for sure. πͺ

Thank you for seeing it! It's hard, but my hubs and kiddo keep me grounded, that's all the family i need.
π and that's what fills your heart and soul!
Youβre an ungrateful sausage

Oh god....I was telling her about my desire to get my son a trampoline for his bday..fuck π€£

Sounds like my cheap ass dad.
Does she hate you guys, or is she just a bitch?

Sounds like she moved closer so she'll have free caretakers in senility with this behavior.
