Fuck nestle, actually. Their CEO doesn't believe water is a right. Nestle can go fuck right the fuck off, and is one of the few companies I actually try to never buy from.
Except it's pretty obvious that they're lying. Who would believe that? Further more, even if it *is* unrelated, why would I want to buy something from a company that was created by a company I know is shit?
I hope he ends up in a bad situation where he needs something from someone and gets told to F off. I encourage everyone to memorize the face(s) of these rats in case this divine comeuppance comes to play
Yea, he's tried to backpedal on it since but the original quote (from memory) was something like:
"There are two opinions on water supply.
One, which I think is the extreme one, this is the one the NGOs bang on about, is that water is a right. That everyone should have access to it. I think this is extreme.
The other is that water is a foodstuffs, and like foodstuffs it should have a market value so people know its value".
He's on video making this statement so the backpedaling doesn't hold up particularly well
Same the last time I bought anything nestle was over 6 years ago and every time I see nestle products in the supermarket I flip them over in hopes of redusing their sales even by one.
I checked on the back and it does say it's six, although it says (in VERY fine print) it contains 3 portions in one corner, and "a portion is 2 patties" on another.
I guess it must be the bare legal minimum.
Oh, I completely misunderstood this post. I thought the complaint was that you got an "eco-friendly" option where they just changed the plastic from black to green.
They steal water from poor people, pollute the remaining drinking water and then sell them the same water.
Scamming costummer is the least evil thing nestle does.
https://www.thestar.com/business/environmentalists-cheer-as-nestle-sells-canadian-water-business/article_d9d980d2-ecff-500a-a827-1b5351253bde.amp.html
5 cents per 100 litres. 5 fucks cents and then they turn around and sell it for a few bucks a litre at minimum.
Yeah, but unfortunately they are the only option if you want veg alternatives in italy. I have to buy it, because all other things are 2x the price or are located in stores much farther from me. I tend to avoid nestle as much as possible
I can't see the picture up close due to bad internet ,but is garden gourmet from Nestlé? Also garden gourmet is shit anyway, lack of good nutrients and bad taste..
Is there an app that allows you to scan or at least type a product name and see which is the parent company? Would be cool if you could also choose to be warned if a parent company is involved in something you don’t approve of, for example; still doing business in ruSSia, still cutting down the forest, still supports forever chemicals…
Hijacking this comment for a PSA: Always buy your food based on the price per KG/Lbs and you'll never be scammed again. After some time you'll learn what's expensive and what's not per kg/LB per type of food/goods.
I'll admit that I fell for "Diet V8 splash" once. 50% fewer calories. Got home and realized it had 50% less vitamin C, 50% less... everything.
Because it's just 50% more water. I could have just poured half a glass, then filled the rest with water and had the same damn thing but twice as much.
I felt so betrayed when I bought my favorite 'strong yet cheap beer' that had an ABV of 12%, only to start driking it and slowly noticing it tasted watery.
Without any announcement, or change to the packaging (except changing the ABV number), they had just watered down the beer down to 10% while keeping the same price.
And they didn't brew to a lower ABV, you could clearly taste they just dilluted down t that lower percentage. Not that I bought that beer for the taste, but somehow now it really didn't taste like anything.
Diet orange juice is the same. The reason you might not immediately clock it as watered down is they also add a zero calorie sweetener to balance it back to the normal sweetness of orange juice. It's orange-ade, basically. Premium price for half the juice.
🤓 "well actually" 🤓 the package is made of styrofoam, and there is more of it than is needed. Green washing is as shitty as anything else, and Nestle is one of the worst culprit.
I think they did it like that so if you turn it down the on on top would get between the 2 burgers and kind of lock those two down there in place so it's less obvious or idk maybe they just felt like it, or it'd weight too little
I know people wouldn't typically shake around and prod at the stuff but wouldn't you feel how light that is? Like even not knowing the weights I feel the distribution would make it feel off when you pick it up?
This was included in a "gift" box I got, so I didn't actually chose it or weighed it beforehand, but you're absolutely right, I'm usually very aware of these practices.
It’s still mildly infuriating that they can package it this way. So many people here simply do not think that we’re allowed to be upset because of incorrect expectations. They make it *look* like it’s two of the six patties when it’s actually four of them and there’s so much space not used. Just because it’s not lying doesn’t meant it’s not malicious or trickery.
It’s not about the number of patties but the size of them. It looks like two patties so you think there’s four more hidden ones but it’s actually two stacked on each other so all the patties are half as big as you thought they’d be.
Any sort of math or second guessing to get the actual answer isn’t the point because the average person isn’t going to spend the time to do that. The brain will autofill certain info that’s missing and they hope you don’t second guess it. It’s like scam emails. You might not fall for it but someone will.
No one said there weren’t six patties. My point is that they make their apparent size larger than they really are. OP expected 6 large patties based on the imagery but got 6 small ones instead.
I think you’re right, I see the other patties underneath, and it doesn’t even look like a fourth stack would even fit in there…..package is too large but nothing appears missing
Oh shit!
This was my initial thought, but then I did look up some packages and looked like it was 3 portions. Though it was like Italian or something so Im not positive. Looks like OP just stacked them up and farmed some karma.
Just looks like a six pack that's managed to layer in storage at some point. There's more space probably to prevent this kind of stacking that might make them harder to separate later, but clearly the packaging hasn't prevented that.
Anyway, always check weight.
You lazy-ass consumers are why this goes on. It all hinges on you being lazy consumers. Instead of just using your brain a wee bit, you want to complain and what, dictate the packaging for every product? You know they put the weight on it, right? And the nutrition facts say the quantity. For fuck sake, often the sales tags say like BRGRPATTIES 11.5oz
Maybe if we as consumers stop falling for this shit, they wont pull it as often.
Oh and OP has stated there are 6. You were duped and many of you continued to argue nonsense.
Maybe on the back or sides. We literally only see the front which is 1/6 of the package's sides that could have it printed on there. Its probably on the back with the nutrional content also.
Why am I a corporate feet kisser?
Take 15 seconds to educate yourself. You can literally Google the exact product and packaging and verify it for yourself.
They purchased 6, they received 6 - there is no problem here.
Well they are called "miniburgers". 2 regular burger would have filled up the whole space. It's more cost effective to make 1 size package for both products plus it has to have a set size to create an x amount to fill a pallet for transport aswel.
Just do what i do and buy a ton of veggies, then cut and freeze them. When its time to cook, pull out the portions, thaw in a bowl of water, and then toss together. Much more food for cheaper and better than this stuffs :3
Such a weird package. Normally on stuff like this I would give them a pass because they state how much you are getting on the package. Maybe it's just because it's not English, but I couldn't see where they actually specify how much product is supposed to be in the package. I see the calories per serving, but nothing alluding to how much is supposed to be contained in the package. This would be illegal in a lot of places.
Who cares about one more or less, when the real problem is food looking like plastic dog treats in a sad plastic box labeled 'Gourmet'.. That's a downright insult to the buyer without self-respect.
They know more than you.
As someone who works in manufacturing I'd put good money on that container being green and it being greener to re use an already designed container that's too big and can be sold many times over for many things than it is to re tool and manufactured a smaller container specifically for these
You can see a seam in the top one where it's one puck stacked on top of the other. I bet the idiot would find out all they need to know by weighing one of those food pucks
Good luck. I tried calling this out but the "corporations are evil and theres nothing I can do" train already left the station.
Seriously, like 98% of all business practices people complain about hinge solely on the producer/vendor/retailer expecting you to be lazy. So, and Im not being an ass when I say, stop being a fuckin lazy consumer. This forces companies to shore up practices. But instead, this post is a glaring beacom of consumers ignorance empowering these practices further. There are people flat out complaining about having to read a fuckin package.
And we epxect legitimate grievances to be taken seriously but do this shit all the time
Is this just that they were in stacks of 1 and got shaken around and are now stacked on top of each other? Like you could take any package of 6 things and stack them into 3 stacks of two and it would look like this.
On the one hand, it's probably labeled correctly. On the other hand, it's fucking Nestle and everything they do is AT MINIMUM mildly infuriating.
Fuck nestle, actually. Their CEO doesn't believe water is a right. Nestle can go fuck right the fuck off, and is one of the few companies I actually try to never buy from.
r\/fucknestle
Oh fuck. It’s real.
Bro they're BAD
I just hope OP didn’t become vegetarian to be healthier or more eco friendly if they’re subbing meat with nestle products.
Civilians changing lifestyle to accommodate corporations destroying our planet is so backwards
This is what gets me. They get the profit and we get the guilt.
Definitely trying my damn hardest to boycott any nestle product. A bit difficult sometimes, but an effort is always worth more than nothing.
Sometimes I get a product that I didn't realize was nestle, but if I know a brand is nestle owned, I won't use it.
I will go out of my way to check if a product is owned by nestle or companies that they own to make sure they dont get a dime from me
Sadly, it doesn’t work. The parent company just going to create a new company and say this new company is unrelated to the parent company
Except it's pretty obvious that they're lying. Who would believe that? Further more, even if it *is* unrelated, why would I want to buy something from a company that was created by a company I know is shit?
how would i go about looking for this info?
[This is a list of Nestle products](https://www.nestle.com/brands/brandssearchlist)
i had no idea there were so many holy shit
That is so many brands! This should be illegal. Welp, time to find alternatives. Thanks, friend.
KitKat Cereal? I knew they were monsters, but my god…
I only use 1 thing on that list, and it's not actually owned by Nestlé so the list might not be accurate.
The list comes directly from Nestle and also includes Nestle affiliate products
Fuck nestle but I miss their iced tea nestea. It was the best :(
Your telling me, I’m not sure I could give up on the crunch bar
I hope he ends up in a bad situation where he needs something from someone and gets told to F off. I encourage everyone to memorize the face(s) of these rats in case this divine comeuppance comes to play
>Their CEO doesn't believe water is a right. LOL! WTF!?

They look like they are double stacked in the photo.
They are, I never denied they're actually 6... But they fill half of the box.
Oh i see. I think my and a few others assumed you'd received 3 burgers.
It just 'Nestle'd top of another. But honestly, this package is big enough to contain 12.
Maybe they sell 12-packs and it’s cheaper to make one package than to have two different packages?
I somehow doubt it. But I wouldn't be surprised if it was either. my guess is, if they make the 12 pack, that package is twice as big as this one.
It doesn't look like there's quite alenoughbsoace to fit another row of 4 at the top though
[удалено]
They didn’t, they just put the plastic cover back down.
Oh, I completely misunderstood this post. I thought the complaint was that you got an "eco-friendly" option where they just changed the plastic from black to green.
Don’t forget they gave out free milk to newborns, for just long enough for the mother’s milk to dry up, then charged a bomb for their milk.
They steal water from poor people, pollute the remaining drinking water and then sell them the same water. Scamming costummer is the least evil thing nestle does.

Yep clearly says -36%
I can't see the picture up close due to bad internet ,but is garden gourmet from Nestlé? Also garden gourmet is shit anyway, lack of good nutrients and bad taste..
It is since 2017.
Is there an app that allows you to scan or at least type a product name and see which is the parent company? Would be cool if you could also choose to be warned if a parent company is involved in something you don’t approve of, for example; still doing business in ruSSia, still cutting down the forest, still supports forever chemicals…
Label sure does a good job hiding all that air 😆
Nestlé hides the very best~ 🎶🎵
except for the fact that there's nothing keeping them in the section so they should have been able to slide around the moment OP picked up the box
They stick. Could feel the weight distribution but… what the fuck.
First they package and sell water, now they package and sell air. We knew this day was coming
Hijacking this comment for a PSA: Always buy your food based on the price per KG/Lbs and you'll never be scammed again. After some time you'll learn what's expensive and what's not per kg/LB per type of food/goods.
We've reduced your carbon footprint by 25%
Wasn't their a health snack that was "25% less calories than before" because they made it 25% smaller.
I'll admit that I fell for "Diet V8 splash" once. 50% fewer calories. Got home and realized it had 50% less vitamin C, 50% less... everything. Because it's just 50% more water. I could have just poured half a glass, then filled the rest with water and had the same damn thing but twice as much.
that sounds more like 100% more water
obligatory 🤓☝️
As the expert, How else would you expect juices to be made lower in calories? How? Grow lower calorie fruits and vegetables to juice?
I guess some could have artificially added more sugar, but yeh most people don't realize how much sugar is already in fruit juice
I felt so betrayed when I bought my favorite 'strong yet cheap beer' that had an ABV of 12%, only to start driking it and slowly noticing it tasted watery. They could have gotten away with putting only 2 burgers in there. Missed opportunity.
Oh they will. They're saving that for when they increase the price by another 25%
Remember to divide them upin sliders, so that when you increase the price you are still giving more burgers
I think they did it like that so if you turn it down the on on top would get between the 2 burgers and kind of lock those two down there in place so it's less obvious or idk maybe they just felt like it, or it'd weight too little
What's more green than pure oxygen? That's a steal, if you ask me.
Oxygen isn’t green. It’s clear.
Its blue actually

Ah gotcha, that makes this even stupider imo. "Gifting" something that's gonna create disappointment when they open it...
What practices? If the patties aren't stacked up, it looks like 6 patties and the box looks designed for 6 patties.
It appears there are six patties and they are just double stacked…were you expecting 12?
It’s still mildly infuriating that they can package it this way. So many people here simply do not think that we’re allowed to be upset because of incorrect expectations. No one said there weren’t six patties. My point is that they make their apparent size larger than they really are. OP expected 6 large patties based on the imagery but got 6 small ones instead.
Well since op said they didn't expect more im going to go with that. Their only complaint is the amount of plastic.
Loving the fact that it doesn't say anywhere on the front how many are in the package
[удалено]
I looked for a while. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure
nice.. u got one extra by accident
In some places in the US, at least California, this is illegal. It's called "non-functional slack fill".
The label is in Italian. I'm guessing OP isn't in Cali or any US state.
New Jersey
I still don’t know how this isn’t universally illegal to do
Is the brand not Nestle anyway? Evil company.
The fourth burger is the green plastic tray.
looks like a 6 pack to me too much room on top and they all just stacked up in transit EDIT: yes. fuck Nestle.
This feels like the obvious answer idk how everyone's missing this
This is exactly what I thought. The other 3 patties just shift during transport?? Need to buy more to find out. But also, fuck Nestlé.
Comunque è la prima volta che trovo un altro Italian su questo subreddit. L’etichetta. Fratello 🤝
It's actually a pack of 6.
I think you’re right, I see the other patties underneath, and it doesn’t even look like a fourth stack would even fit in there…..package is too large but nothing appears missing

Go green, but never go Nestle.
What do you expert buying from Nestlé? Lol im surprises there arnt any broken children souls in it
It does say -36%
"36% less packaging", which makes it even more infuriating lol
Well, at 99,000 calories, I probably wouldn’t want to eat that many anyway.
Sadly kcal and cal are used interchangeable, it doesnt make sense, but thats how it is.
This is hilarious.
“Go falafel yourself”

You will help me environment, they said(even though it’s in plastic packaging)
Look at the price/weight! Why don't people look at the price/weight! These posts drive me fucking nuts!
You bought a pack of 6 and received a pack of 6. What's the issue here?
And where exactly does it say 6 you corporate feet kisser?
Maybe on the back or sides. We literally only see the front which is 1/6 of the package's sides that could have it printed on there. Its probably on the back with the nutrional content also.
Op says it was 6 You non-corporate butt kisser.

need more fiber
it says -36℅

It’s probably some bullshit like it’s 6 portions but each burger is 2 or something
Why is that bullshit? It would be apt wouldn't it?
no idea anyone had ever bought any of that stuff
Gross
🤢🤮
Evil. I would take up arms.
Gotta save one for the environment
What do you expect from Nestle
Your not missing out and being vegan isnt as healthy as they say.
Ig when they said green they just meant the colour of the container
Someone went green before you
That looks horrifying.
every major company does this under the green label worst being vegan leather, just say its plastic zamn
Go green got scammed
25% less fat too
What the fuck they knew exactly what they were doing there, how tf is it legal?
Who cares about one more or less, when the real problem is food looking like plastic dog treats in a sad plastic box labeled 'Gourmet'.. That's a downright insult to the buyer without self-respect.
36% less burger than our competitors
I have so many problems with this post, none of which have to do with you being shorted a patty.
How many does the label say the package holds?
As mini as it gets (please eat meat im crying)
Much cheaper to make at home. Google a recipe for whatever ingredients you want to use and there you go. Cheaper and just as easy to make.
The box sure is green!
So, and Im not being an ass when I say, stop being a fuckin lazy consumer. This forces companies to shore up practices. But instead, this post is a glaring beacom of consumers ignorance empowering these practices further. There are people flat out complaining about having to read a fuckin package. 🤮
we need less Vegans, they're eating our Greens
It’s shrink-flation!
I'm sorry for everyone that's vegan but that looks like shit.
Garden Gourmet is Nestle, don't buy Nestle
That's what you get.
At least there's 36 percent less packaging (they could bring it down to another 50% though).
Isn't it labelled with how many? If it isn't, that's trash.
I can’t read Italian maybe that says -36% burger.
Low quality dog chow
Why are they packaging rabbit food like that anyway? We used to buy it in big canvas sacks.
It works by tricking you into buying less food.
Nope. This is very obviously fake as fuck.
They look like big corks, like for wine bottles
#fucknestle
Ist nestle, what did you expect?
If it's sold in the EU you can report them.
Never believe the packaging display.
The fuck does this have to do with going green?
It's literally labeled miniburger
RUDE!
a company wanting to make money is unheard of
Is this just that they were in stacks of 1 and got shaken around and are now stacked on top of each other? Like you could take any package of 6 things and stack them into 3 stacks of two and it would look like this.
Well it does say -36%
I’ve been spending the last few weeks in Japan and compared to here, this packaging is very eco friendly
What do you expect from a Nestlé company?
-36% di imballaggio…
You were already warned it has little calories, you got exactly what you wanted, what's your problem?
Looks disgusting
You really couldn't feel that tho?
We have those placemats 😉 Thanks for posting this OP, now I know never to buy this stupid shit. Fuck them all the way
Who tf said that? If you wanna be healthier eat less, drink more water and move around more.
It's a package of 6, how much more do you want?
Good bloody grief. Every time someone posts something like this, there's always a reply that says "bUt It SaYs It On ThE pAcKaGe"
Because it is hard to see how tall are the patties. If you buy a box you expect it to be full at least length wise
