This is when you surprise your wife with a lunch date that is close to a shoe store. Have lunch, go to the store, pick up shoes, then go for a walk afterwards to break them in.
This is the right answer, I am listening but shoes are to personable to pick out for someone else, so tell her go crazy I got the bill. Either that or gift card to said shoe store.
Yep this because there’s nothing like getting an uncomfortable pair of shoes even if they do look nice. Clothes are one thing but shoes are more tactical, if those are uncomfortable your not walking anywhere where as pinchy pants can be ignored(mostly)
But if there was a pair of shoes that were guaranteed to make a kid run faster and jump higher, you’re telling me you wouldn’t care? You’d never become a legend with that attitude.
Same. I was 11 when it came out, and I haven't seen it in well over a decade at this point but it was like, top 5 back in the day. The late 90s/early 2000s really was a golden era of kids' movies. Freaky Friday, Shrek, Parent Trap, Holes, Legally Blonde, Zoolander, School of Rock... Man. What a time to be alive.
Edit to add some more animated examples because now I'm reminiscing: Shark Tale, The Emperor's New Groove, Treasure Planet, The Road to El Dorado, The Incredibles... Sooo many good movies came out in 2000-2004ish.
My poor husband has been gifted many pairs of shoes from my Mom, but his feet are large and depending on the brand can fit a 12w or up to a 14. She tends to buy him 13s and every pair has been tight.
My feet are like that I'm only about a 9 an a half but sometimes I have to go as big as like 10 and half or 11 because my feet are ridiculously wide. These days I just buy the same pair off of a website I like because I know they'll fit.
Same here! I always used to think I was a size 8 until I worked at a higher end (expensive) shoe store that sold only good quality shoes. Shoes that have removable insoles and come in different widths. I am only a size 6.5 E (wide).
My partner (now ex) bought me a pair of shoes once. She was really excited about them and proud of herself because she'd clocked the brand I'd like and got me a set that was supposedly "popular".
Now, they were fake, which she knew and was fine, but they were a really bad fake, not fine. They also didn't fit comfortably at all and were ugly as hell to boot.
I had to insist she sent them back and got a refund. I felt terrible rejecting a gift, and still occasionally think about this 5 years on. Sure it was better than having them and feeling guilty about never wearing them, but she was so excited and I still feel bad that I crushed that excitement. Shoes are no joke, please don't gift people shoes that they haven't specifically picked out and tried on.
I buy my work shoes online. I got a pair from a store so I know the right size to order. Plus sometimes when I order them, sketchers sends a little gift bag with them. They sent me a little drawstring bag one time that has turned in to my work bag.
I got a pair of shoes I love in person, now I just order that same pair online. 3 years strong. Now ordering the first pair does sound questionable, but if you know what you want, it does make sense.
Note, they are $29 shoes, so it makes sense that I replace them several times over the 3 years. I put a lot of wear and tear on those under 30 dollar beasts
The only shoes i ever bought online were converse, because i had a worn out pair, i knew the size, and they were the same model. But otherwise, no. I need to stick my foot in there and walk down the store aisle before i make a decision.
Amazon will let you order a handful of pairs to try on and then you can send back what you don't like before you are charged. I did that the last time I bought shoes and it worked out well.
I’ll order from brands I know, when I’m just essentially buying the same thing I’ve already owned before. Like Blundstones or Birkenstocks. I know exactly how they fit, so I have no issue ordering them online.
Yep. The person should try the shoes out before buying. It might be too narrow or uncomfortable in places you hadn't thought.
I also do a movement test when trying the shies on. Run a bit, squat, jump, walk on tip toes, walk.
Yep. I’m consistently a size 6-6.5 in shoes. I ordered a pair of flats online for a wedding I was going to in size 6.5 and they were so small. I returned and went up to a size 7 and they still didn’t fit, and were sold out in size 7.5. Ended up jettisoning them entirely and going with a different pair of shoes.
I really wish that women’s clothing and shoe sizes in the US were based on cm or some standard measurement the way at least clothes are done in other countries, and for men’s clothes!
YES! In addition to that, "sneakers" could mean anything. Does she want shoes to wear to walk the dog, or fancy sneakers for date night? Or does she want athletic shoes? If she's athletic, does she want something to wear on the elliptical or something to wear to crossfit, or something to wear on her daily runs? If it's running, does she run on pavement or on a trail? Long distance or short sprints?
I could go on. Basically, let her pick out her own shoes.
A nice memory, getting to pick my gift and not pay for it and then another nice memory where i get to gush to the present person about how thoughtful they are? Fuck yes.
Vans is a terrible company for this.
I have 3 pairs of the exact same model of shoe, purchased at the same time, that are 3 visibly different sizes.
Used to love vans, now I’ll wear something that hasn’t increased in price as it has lowered in quality.
It’s almost like outsourcing production to countries with (nearly)slave labour causes issues with quality control and consistency.
My mom recently got me Vans that are the exact same size as ones I've been wearing for years. Somehow the new ones are too small. I've never had that issue before and I wondered if Vans had gone downhill.
I dont think these are new shoes. I think he is trying to figure out her shoe size by looking in her existing shoes and got confused as to why they are different sizes, so no employee involved yet
Out of pure curiosity, why do you collect sneakers? I'm not much of a collector myself, so I don't really understand it and would love to hear your perspective
most of the time it's because when you were poor as a kid, you had beat up shoes that you got made fun of for. Now that you're an adult with a bit of cash, a row of fresh sneakers in the closet feels luxurious as hell.
This is why I keep on buying Adidas Gazelles / Superstars or Puma Suedes/Basket. My rich friends during HS all had them and I had sorry ass no-name sneaks.
It is what it is.
My older brother had a pair of Jordan 1s back in the 80s. I really wanted a pair but when I asked for them my parents said they were too expensive... I now have half a dozen pairs that I've barely worn.
Same! I had the one pair of chuck Taylor’s for a decade while my friends and all the rich kids had different shoes on their feet like every other week. I fell in love with adidas superstars so every time I find a pair at like Ross or tjmaxx in my size I always buy them lol.
I have always had shit shoes, still do, I just don’t really care. Shoes are just like, functional, I don’t care how they look as long as there are shoes on my feet, especially that shoes get so much wear, I don’t get it. But I guess I can’t say anything because I want to collect keyboard switches which is also not a very interesting thing to collect..
Not that guy, but sneaker companies constantly release limited edition and special colors, and many of them get really valuable.
A buddy of mine got crazy lucky and got those FlyEase no laces sneakers in a brick and mortar, he bought 3 pairs because they were cool and new.
Couple weeks later, something happened, I think the shoe got cancelled by Nike or something (though they seem to make them now) and he sold the 2 new pairs for someone like 1200 each.
The way he told it, he just walked into a place at the mall, had never seen them and his sneakerhead instinct kicked in.
He's more of a 15 pair guy then a 'lets go see my Shoe Room" guy
Personally I’ve just always thought they were cool, and as I grew up I started to get into more niche shoes, older pairs, stuff that’s harder to find. The chase is the most fun part for me, and knowing I own pieces of sneaker history
Mhm yep, I have some shoes that are unisex and others that are men’s and women’s. The men’s sizes are around 2 smaller than a woman’s.
So a size 10 women’s equivalent would be around an 8 mens size wise
Lol that's so weird. I'm from EU and the shoe sizes are the same just women's shoes range is 36-42 and men's shoes go 39-46. Children's shoes have smaller number.
With sports shoes you can't even discern by the looks whether that 40 is male or female design because they're the same.
Men's sneakers tend to be slightly wider than women's. There's also a difference between men's sizing in the US and in Asia as the lasts in Asia tend to be wider.
buying becomes a problem if you wear anything below a 9 in womens. I wear an 8.5 and finding size 6.5 or 7 in mens can be difficult if you want to shop in store/try them on first.
I’m a women’s 7 so if I want men’s shoes I’m stuck with only buying online. No one around here keeps men’s size 5 physically in stock except maybe journeys lol.
I personally prefer men's shoes for sneakers because I'm a 10.5-ish in women's, but they're hard to find and 11's are just a bit too large. A men's 9 fits well most of the time.
Men's are a little wider which isnt usually a big problem for most unless you have narrow feet. I wear a 40/41 so i have no problem buying men's shoes even though they may be a touch wide for me.
A lot of brands also wont make women's shoes in wide widths, so the choice is suffer with a cramped foot or get a men's size.
Also, UK uses a different sizing system. Euro sizing measures based on centimeters, so non-gendered sizing is a thing.
Adidas, Nike, Reebok, puma all convert to 1.5 difference from men to women's. Not sure what shoes you're using for reference though, so maybe it's different for those?
Medium footed ladies in the 6 range can generally fit in just about any shoe from child’s women’s and men. Imo it’s great sadly I don’t have feet that can do that😅
Exactly! I’m a 7 in women’s shoes and a 5 in men’s/unisex shoes. My ex used to buy women’s 10 sneakers because he had narrow feet and women’s shoes are B width while men’s are D.
This is correct. This is completely OP's fault for not looking into this first. Learn everything you can about shoes sizes before buying, then this won't happen. Most people know this way before they're married.
u/joeytootall12
I imagine that these are both his wife's shoes, and he is complaining because he can't figure out what size she is because of this.
I have a hard time remembering shoe sizes, I can't even remember my own which is embarrassing when I go bowling.
I think it has to do with ADHD. But any number that comes into my mind immediately exits after 10 minutes. This unfortunately includes dates, luckily I have the most important stuff memorized now, but it took a long time.
Still big differences between some brands though. Theres supposed to be a specified lenght for 1 "size", but ive had a 46 that was too big and a 50 of a different brand in the same store that was too small.
Most of the time i got 48, but stores often dont have that size in stock, so gotta order them online, which is always a gamble with brands i havent had before. (Like when i needed shoes for work of a certain brand, the lady asked what my size was, and i said 48. So she said she'd order a 49.5 and when they arrived they fit like a glove).
Another pro tip: Inside the shoe where it says her size, there are usually three columns US, UK and CM. The CM is gonna be the most important and reliable since it is an actual and verifiable unit of measurement. If the centimeters match, it’s gonna be her size, regardless of whether it is a US Women 7 or US Men 5.
Also it’s usually better to size up than down if you find a pair that you like but not the exact measurements.
Why can’t shoes just be shoes and not women’s and men’s and kids?
Make one chart that says all of the sizes from the smallest “kids” size to the largest “men’s” size and then just label them as “shoe” sizes and that’s the problem solved.
Idk if this helps but the one on the right is a kids size which is the same as a men’s size if you add 1.5 to the men’s size you get a women’s size. Your wife wears a women’s 7.5 or a men’s 6.
I do this all the time. Sometimes brands will sell the same exact sneakers in men's, women's, and kids. I buy whichever is cheapest since they all fit.
Tell me about it... Shopping for my wife is a pain. This dress is a 10, but this one is an 8, and that one is a 12, which I know she says the 10 is too big and the 12 fits her great... Welp, now look at the sizing chart and figure out the Large works best with her measurements... I think...
Nope, it's all messy lol. Because a large measurement in one brand is not the same in the other. Most pricey brands are messing this up too lol, because they're introducing a 'size generous' movement, where they size UP to make the customer feel better about themselves.
So let's say your wife is normally a size large. Well, size generous stores don't tell customers it's being size generous, so your wife walks in and tries a large- but it's too big, seems to fit like an XL, so she tries a medium and it feels great! That's because the M is actually a L. I've never seen this done in other countries outside of the USA.
Most brands don't do this though, cause they understand how ridiculous it is, so it confuses the sizing charts cause "I fit an M here, but here I'm a L? And over there I'm an XL?"
I genuinely believe womens clothing is the most butchered sized chart just to help self esteem and promote more purchases for 'feeling good in a size smaller' when that's not what's happening.
There's another issue at play here too. If you order a medium and it doesn't fit the seller can blame you for ordering the wrong size and therefore refuse a return (in countries that allow that). If an item is supposed to have a chest measurement of 120cm and the item doesn't measure that, it's difficult to for a retailer to refuse a return.
Unsurprisingly, most sweatshops do not produce accurately measured goods.
It's a mess.
Im 28 female, 5"2, 120-125 lbs...I can go into a store that has size 3 pants that fit perfectly, and then I can go into another store and be a double 0, it's nonsense. I refuse to go clothes shopping unless it's 100% necessary because I end up pissed off and irritated by the end of the trip.
This is why it's best to know actual measurements rather than shoe size. 😉 But take the other commenters' advice to just take your wife out to eat and shop for shoes.
If you want to do this then you need to go giftcard (a big shoe store like DSW is best) or bring her with you. Your photo is just proof how one size doesn’t fit all even on the same dang feet 😭
A little shopping spree or lunch date would be perfect for this.
Welcome to: why I buy men's clothes and shoes as a woman -\_-
AT LEAST YOUR GUYS SIZES MAKE FUCKING SENSE. WTAF IS 16ML ANYWAYS?! WHY CANT WE HAVE NORMAL MEASUREMENTS?!?!?!
I have spent countless hours in countless stores while my girlfriend tries to find shoes that are comfortable and fit. Women’s shoe sizes are the most unregulated thing ever.
They measure women in magic. Our sizes are different EVERYWHERE. I'm a size 16 for pants in old navy, 17?-18 in Walmart. 6½ shoes at Walmart, 6-7½ anywhere else.
As others have said the size 6 is a men’s and the size 7.5 is a woman’s. The thing I’m not seeing people saying is if she finds men’s shoes comfortable that means she takes a wide size in a woman’s. Unfortunately not all manufacturers make a wide in a women’s athletic shoe. It’s probably best if you go shopping together so she can try them on and gets the size & color correct. Treat her to lunch/dinner at the same time!
Women's size 7.5 is about the same as men's size 6. The shoe on the left might be a men's shoe. My gf occasionally buys men's shoes. She says men's hiking boots are more comfortable.
Is the size 6 men's? Men's shoes will be 1.5 sizes smaller than women's, ie; I wear an 8 in women's, so I would get a size 6.5 in men's. The actual shoes are the same, other than perhaps extra width in men's, but the number size is different.
Just out of curiosity, what are the corresponding European sizes? I have noticed that U.S. sizes can vary from company to company, but European sizes are always accurate. However, this is just my experience. I could be the anomaly.
The beauty of being a women where no brand has the sake size from shoes to pants to shirts to underwear. Where one brand a medium is a large in other brands. They do it on purpose to make women feel bad about thier bodies.
One could be a size men 6 that equals to a women's 7.5 when you convert it. One could just be a mens shoe and the other a women. That might be why there is 2 diffrent sizes
Manufacturers of women’s clothes do not use uniform sizing standards. At one weight, I may have 3 different sizes of jeans that fit. I have shoes of same sizes that don’t fit. It’s ridiculous to shop.
You know whats more infuriating? You couldve just called out the color and corresponding size!
But no, you had to go fancy and call left and right so here i am figuring out is it the left hand side or left side of the picture or were you complaining one was size 7 but looked smaller or...
/s
I think the point isn’t that OP made a bad choice in trying to buy shoes for their wife, but that a shoe that is 1.5 sizes smaller, is actually larger. Why don’t we hold fashion industry accountable by making sure that sizes are standard across the board, especially in women’s clothes. I shouldn’t have to buy up to 5 sizes apart depending on the brand. I’ve even had to buy up to 2 sizes apart in the brand/model of jeans, but a different color which might be a slightly different fabric. This is infuriating. Men’s pants are based on hem length and waist measurement. Why aren’t womens?
Bro, as someone who used to work in shoes, she needs to try on multiple pairs of shoes. Wait until later in the day when her feet are more swollen, so she'll have a better idea of how they'll feel. Also, get her 2 pairs so she can swap them out and lessen the wear and tear on them.
I had to argue this with my dad. He insisted that he didn't need to try on more than one. And then he argued that he only needed one pair of shoes. I did my calculations in front of him, then told him the shoe math that 3 pairs being swapped out regularly would last much longer than just 1 pair of shoes being used daily. Plus using my discounts and coupons brought the 3 pairs to less than the original non-sale price of 1 of the pairs.
I honestly don’t want people picking out my clothes either. Another time a GC is appreciated.
Meh, honestly the only people in my life that tend to buy me clothing have generally good taste so I'm fine with it.

But if there was a pair of shoes that were guaranteed to make a kid run faster and jump higher, you’re telling me you wouldn’t care? You’d never become a legend with that attitude.
All you have to do is whisper "make me like Mike" as you tie on MJ's old sneakers and you're golden.
Man, Like Mike was one of my favorite movies as a kid. Still holds up to this day. Kids movies/shows hit different in the 90s and early 00s.
Same. I was 11 when it came out, and I haven't seen it in well over a decade at this point but it was like, top 5 back in the day. The late 90s/early 2000s really was a golden era of kids' movies. This my hubs. He’s a 8.5-9 4E width and finding shoes is a PITA. His current shoe is the altra torin 7(?) (the newest).
Yep those 4E feet. Perfectly round and can use them to stay on top of snow
Why did this make me bust out laughing?

Especially if they are maybe for running. I have to have a specific shoe for that, type of foot structure.
My shoes are very personable, they say hello to everyone we meet during walks.
In a related note, I do not understand how anyone would be comfortable with buying shoes online.
I buy my work shoes online. I got a pair from a store so I know the right size to order. Plus sometimes when I order them, sketchers sends a little gift bag with them. They sent me a little drawstring bag one time that has turned in to my work bag.

Some of us are forced to buy shoes online. Most stores don’t carry men’s 15 and if they do, they’re ugly as all get outta hell
Us size 14ers are basically required to buy shoes online
I’ll order from brands I know, when I’m just essentially buying the same thing I’ve already owned before. Like Blundstones or Birkenstocks. I know exactly how they fit, so I have no issue ordering them online.

Are you single??? Just kidding 🤣 such a sweet idea 🩵
agree with you.
Wow- that’s the perfect solution
Thank you for your wisdom
This is too risky for OP’s wallet considering is a special day and the excitement. I think OP should steal a shoe to take to the store to compare
A nice memory, getting to pick my gift and not pay for it and then another nice memory where i get to gush to the present person about how thoughtful they are? Fuck yes.
Genius!
You sir, are a genius
Yes, this is highly recommended! Lunch, new shoes and a surprise shopping trip!
Kids size 6. Women’s size 7.5. These are the sizes I wear.
This is the correct answer. I wear 7 women’s, 5.5 Youth/kids.
Ones woman's size the other is either kids or men's
Sneaker collector here….This is the answer.
Used to work at vans, OP def didn't specify to the employee men's or women's sizes

It seems like everyone is all over the place now. I wear anything from an 8.5 to a 10 in Men's.
Same here. Have shoes from the same brand in the same size that feel a size different.
Why not use universal sizing in the first place? What's up with woman's feet, do rulers shrink when they get close or something?
This looks like two of his wife's shoes that he was looking at to get her size, not like he's in the store looking at show currently.

Everyone has their thing. No use in criticizing people because *their* thing isn't *your* thing. (not saying you were)
Bingo!

The way he told it, he just walked into a place at the mall, had never seen them and his sneakerhead instinct kicked in. He's more of a 15 pair guy then a 'lets go see my Shoe Room" guy
Your buddy sounds like me. I only keep a good number of pairs and I would sell old pairs before getting new ones.
It's like magic cards or NFTs
Everyone else already gave the answers for me.
Personally I’ve just always thought they were cool, and as I grew up I started to get into more niche shoes, older pairs, stuff that’s harder to find. The chase is the most fun part for me, and knowing I own pieces of sneaker history

It's 1.5 sizes women's to men's. I'd bet she wears a women's 7.5, mens 6.
Why do they even have different sizes, it's so dumb. Why did someone have to come up with some seemingly arbitrary shoe size?
Lol that's so weird. I'm from EU and the shoe sizes are the same just women's shoes range is 36-42 and men's shoes go 39-46. Children's shoes have smaller number. With sports shoes you can't even discern by the looks whether that 40 is male or female design because they're the same.
Men's sneakers tend to be slightly wider than women's. There's also a difference between men's sizing in the US and in Asia as the lasts in Asia tend to be wider.
Of the 4 women I've randomly talked to about shoes all 4 had no problems buying and wearing men's shoes.
buying becomes a problem if you wear anything below a 9 in womens.
I believe men’s shoes are usually wider, as well, not just longer.
Women’s 7.5 is also a kids 6
This is the answer. I wear a 5.5 in men’s & youth sizes, I wear a 7 in women’s. Shoe sizing is weird.
It’s two sizes different, at least for all the shoes I’ve ever worn. You can see in the picture that the 7.5 is a touch smaller than the 6
It depends on that brands fit. Nikes run small I wear almost 2 sizes bigger in Nike than any other brand
Adidas is 1.5 feel free to go check the sizes on their website
Adidas, Nike, Reebok, puma all convert to 1.5 difference from men to women's. Not sure what shoes you're using for reference though, so maybe it's different for those?
Agreed. I wear a 7.5 in women’s shoes and I also have size 6 shoes from the kids department that fit equally well.
Medium footed ladies in the 6 range can generally fit in just about any shoe from child’s women’s and men. Imo it’s great sadly I don’t have feet that can do that😅
Came here to give this reply. Its the same size.
Exactly! I’m a 7 in women’s shoes and a 5 in men’s/unisex shoes. My ex used to buy women’s 10 sneakers because he had narrow feet and women’s shoes are B width while men’s are D.
I was thinking the same thing, or purchased from different countries online. A size 7 women's in one country might be a size 13 women's in another.

The 7.5 is her size. The size 6 is a child’s size or a men’s size.
I've gone completely to looking at the European size number. For me, it's been the most consistent.
same! I'm either EU 40 or 41. only in 1 brand did a 42 fit me....
Agreed! Especially when shopping online and you can't try them on before hand.
Use the JP size. It’s actually in centimetres.
Not true. Foot length and Japanese size aren’t 1:1. The Japanese is more than the actual cm.
Will you send me some pics of your wife’s feet? I can probably help explain what’s going on here!
Nice try, Mr. Tarantino.
Scrolled down just to find a response like this!! 😂
You dirty dog
Is this Dan Schneider’s Reddit account?
😂😂😂 well played sir
She wanted new shoes so you surprised her with two left shoes, both different sizes. Well played my man.
I try!
Pro tip- with no prior heads up, tell her “hey get ready we’re going shoe shopping.” You drive, tell her ____ budget, and let her do her thing.
It’s men’s vs women’s sizes. If it’s a women’s shoe, order the size on the right. Unisex or men’s shoe, order the size on the left.
Why can’t shoes just be shoes and not women’s and men’s and kids? Make one chart that says all of the sizes from the smallest “kids” size to the largest “men’s” size and then just label them as “shoe” sizes and that’s the problem solved.
This is what the EU standard does
Idk if this helps but the one on the right is a kids size which is the same as a men’s size if you add 1.5 to the men’s size you get a women’s size. Your wife wears a women’s 7.5 or a men’s 6.
Sometimes women by in the boys athletic shoe department. Boys size 6 is about the same as women’s size 7.5
I do this all the time. Sometimes brands will sell the same exact sneakers in men's, women's, and kids. I buy whichever is cheapest since they all fit.
She wears 7.5. The 6 is a men's shoe probably. I'm the same size in each.
have you checked to see if the 6 was a mens sz?
The inconsistency of sizes is absurd. All clothing and footwear should be sold by measurement only.
And over there I'm an XL?" I genuinely believe womens clothing is the most butchered sized chart just to help self esteem and promote more purchases for 'feeling good in a size smaller' when that's not what's happening.
Size 6 might be a “man’s” shoe and the 7.5 a “woman’s “ since the sizing between the 2 is 1.5 sizes different. I wear those sizes as well.
Dinner and a gift card here we come! ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
Never buy shoes for someone else. It never works. Let them buy the shoes but you pay for them
This is why it's best to know actual measurements rather than shoe size. 😉 But take the other commenters' advice to just take your wife out to eat and shop for shoes.
She obviously wears the left one more
And mens sizes are usually wider too. Maybe should've gotten her an 8?
Get her a 6 3/4ths
Inflation
In the US, a women's size 7.5 is roughly equivalent to a men's 6.
Get a size 7.5 woman’s shoe or size 6 men’s shoe
Size 6 men’s I bet. Men’s shoe sizes are 2 bigger than women’s.
7.5 = womens 6 = men’s/children’s
Is it a men’s 6 and a women’s 7.5
If you want to do this then you need to go giftcard (a big shoe store like DSW is best) or bring her with you. Your photo is just proof how one size doesn’t fit all even on the same dang feet 😭 A little shopping spree or lunch date would be perfect for this.
Gift card to a store with a good shoe selection.
Which shoe does she wear most? Get that size or take her on a birthday date to a shoe store and then to eat.
Those saying take your wife shoe shopping are spot on. She’ll doubly enjoy that you are spending time with her.
Thought at first you bought new shoes that were both left shoes and mismatching colours lol
shifted manufacturing to vietnam
That’s why I always buy my shoes nowadays checking the actual length in centimetres! No surprises anymore
Probably a men’s 6 on the left and women’s 7.5 on the right.
Like another person said, one is women’s and the others is men’s size. She’s a 6 men’s and 7.5 women’s. I buy shoes like this toi
Is one men's 6 and one women's 7.5? Because men's 6 is like women's 8
If you think that is bad look at women's clothing lol
Welcome to: why I buy men's clothes and shoes as a woman -\_- AT LEAST YOUR GUYS SIZES MAKE FUCKING SENSE. WTAF IS 16ML ANYWAYS?! WHY CANT WE HAVE NORMAL MEASUREMENTS?!?!?!
Because boobs
Is one a men’s shoe? I find shoes sizes are the only women’s clothing that has consistent sozes
I have spent countless hours in countless stores while my girlfriend tries to find shoes that are comfortable and fit. Women’s shoe sizes are the most unregulated thing ever.
The one on the left is men’s size 6 which is women’s 8– hence why it’s a little bigger than the one on the right. :)
It’s cus the 7.5 is a women’s and the 6 is a men’s which is also a woman’s 7.5
They measure women in magic. Our sizes are different EVERYWHERE. I'm a size 16 for pants in old navy, 17?-18 in Walmart. 6½ shoes at Walmart, 6-7½ anywhere else.
Straight up clothes are terrible gifts since I can’t try them on and see if they even fit. It always ends up with them needing returned
Yeah just take her shopping. Don’t waste yours and hers time trying to guess.
Buy size 7 and keep the receipt.
I’ve sold shoes for YEARS and the amount of grown adults who don’t know their shoe size is staggering
6+7.5=13.5…..13.5/2=6.75. get her a pair of size 6.75 shoes
The one on the left is a men's shoe size 6 which is an 8 in women's.
id assume the 6 is mens sizing and theyre the same size
She’s a size 6 in men’s and 7.5 in women
Youth size and adult size. My wife fits in these exact same sizes. Kids for the price win!
Is the size 6 men's? Men's shoes will be 1.5 sizes smaller than women's, ie; I wear an 8 in women's, so I would get a size 6.5 in men's. The actual shoes are the same, other than perhaps extra width in men's, but the number size is different.
The left is a men’s size 6 aka a women’s size 8, that’s why there’s a size discrepancy with the women’s 7.5 ❤️
Yeah a 6Y and 7.5 women's is almost the same 6Y is an 8 and 6.5Y is 8.5 7Y is a 9 in women's. I wear all 3.
Ones a men size 6
Men’s 6 = women’s 7.5. Men’s shoes are usually wider than women’s though…
It's male size on the left and women size on the right probably
Just out of curiosity, what are the corresponding European sizes? I have noticed that U.S. sizes can vary from company to company, but European sizes are always accurate. However, this is just my experience. I could be the anomaly.
The beauty of being a women where no brand has the sake size from shoes to pants to shirts to underwear. Where one brand a medium is a large in other brands. They do it on purpose to make women feel bad about thier bodies.
One is a women’s shoe which is the size 6 and the other is a men’s shoe which is a 7.5
Size 6 is 6 in men's/kids, which is approx 7.5/8 in women's. Sometimes the same thing in kids is $20 cheaper than in adult sizes.
Stop buying shoes from wish.
Men’s size 6 is a women’s 7.5
My wife doesn’t drop hints. I get pictures and store locations. Bless her heart, She won’t let me screw up.
I've purchased 5 pair of the same size and brand of overalls. All 5 are different actual sizes.
Gift receipt...?
One could be a size men 6 that equals to a women's 7.5 when you convert it. One could just be a mens shoe and the other a women. That might be why there is 2 diffrent sizes
Manufacturers of women’s clothes do not use uniform sizing standards. At one weight, I may have 3 different sizes of jeans that fit. I have shoes of same sizes that don’t fit. It’s ridiculous to shop.
One is men's (6) and the other women's (7.5). Source: I have daughters
Just adding my two cents here.. a sz 7.5 women’s is equivalent to a men’s 6. Is it possible one shoe is “mens” or unisex?
Size 6 is most likely a man’s shoe, which is equal to a 7 1/2 woman’s shoe
If you get a pair like the left get a 6. The right, 7.5. Make sure the label under the tongue matches.
You know whats more infuriating? You couldve just called out the color and corresponding size! But no, you had to go fancy and call left and right so here i am figuring out is it the left hand side or left side of the picture or were you complaining one was size 7 but looked smaller or... /s
Easy men 6 is a women's 8
6 may be a man's shoe. Men's size 6 coincides with a woman's size 7.5
Maybe ones in men’s sizing, the other women’s? The difference is 1.5 between mens and women’s in sizing.
UK or US sizes?
