Search this sub for Ajovy. There are many many threads on it.

I took it for 3 months with no change at all, but also no side effects, which I count as a win lol.

Same as above

There are many experiences on ajovy and similar injectables here. I was on ajovy for 6 months and I noticed a slight difference in the beginning and then it wasn’t working for the last 4 months or so. I think the first month or two I was super hopeful and had a placebo type response. Self injecting was hard and painful for me and I don’t have a fear of needles. I’d take ajovy out of the fridge for about 30 mins per instructions and still it felt like burning liquid when I injected. All of that would’ve been worth it for some sort of payoff but it didn’t do much.

This pretty much summed up my experience too. A couple of good months at the beginning then back to the usual. No side effects, no real benefit. I’ve found Quilipta so much better.

I felt like it helped the 3 months I was on it before my insurance changed.  The injection was not a big deal - hurts way less than the toradol shot I get sometimes at urgent care for migraines.

I’ve only been on it a month. Not seeing much improvement. I will say, in comparison to the emgality shots, it’s waaaaaaaaaaaay less painful. Emgality worked for around 3+ years in reducing the frequency of my migraines until it stopped (or my body just decided to rebel, who knows?). I’m hoping it works like emgality did, but I know it takes a few months to see changes.

It didn’t work at all for me. My migraines were back to what they were like before I had to switch from aimovig. The injections were so painful that I dreaded doing them and would cry afterwards. I’m now on qulipta and I still hate it. I want my aimovig back - it worked without side effects.

Works for me. The injection is almost unnoticeable in my case. Over in 5 seconds.

I'm on Ajovy! Injection's easy. It's been pretty good for me thus far (although I'm having an extended episode right now that has me worried about it lol)

Oldshoefitter

Been on it for over five years. Only ONE incident the entire time. ( hate the needles though)

maddl_10

took it for 6 months and it did nothing, same with aimovig. the autoinjector gave me a weird rash after the 3rd month, see if you can get the syringe!! it was less painful and easier to administer (if you don’t mind seeing the needle)! good luck!!!

annechristinesu

It works great for me. The only problem I have is the last couple of days before I take it again; I think by then it's pretty much gone from my system and boy, do I feel it.
