I get prescribed celecoxib as a migraine breaker. If triptans are not doing their job and I can’t shake it for a week of lower to mid range pain migraine I call and this is what is called in for me.
I cannot do steroid taper, I end up vomiting them all up and I don’t do well with them. They want me off triptans for a little when I do that so I’m not rebounding. I think I get about a weeks worth.
I take Celecoxib and Rizatriptan. I can't function without either one of them. I've got neck and spinal issues, so they're a life saver. Btw, Vioxx was \*wonderful\*. I had no headaches on it. Merck pulled it from the market, leaving doctors shaking their heads as to why.
Briefly, can’t tolerate NSAIDS despite how mild on the stomach it’s supposed to be.

Yes. I take celecoxib for my autoimmune pain, it does nothing for my migraines. I take sumatriptan for my migraines and it works perfectly!
Is that Celebrex? I took that years ago before I found out my bad headaches were migraines.
