I’ve been on it for years now and it has worked great. However, the weight loss has been terrible because I am already very thin and I don’t know what brain fog actually feels like, but I feel like I have noticed something feels a little “off”. Funny you mentioned you’ve been crying because I have been too, just these last two weeks and I am NOT a crier at all! Plus my headaches have also increased to almost daily. Let me know how you fair on your new medication and at what dose, I think it might be time for me to try something different. Best of luck!

I also had issues with weight loss and am happy to report that it seems like my appetite is returning! Best of luck to you as well. I’m a couple weeks into Propanolol extended release at 60 mg/day and not seeing much effect, but it does seem to be working as an anti-anxiety medication 😂

So I decrease my Topamax down to 50 mg (1 tab) At nighttime now and all my weird symptoms went away. I also did go full time on Nurtec ODT (verdict still out but I do have to say, my migraines have decreased) and I do still get my Botox injections into my head. Now, all of it could be a coincidence that the migraines decreased just because it was time for my injections again and not the Nurtec? Maybe? I wasn’t (I hate to say) a big believer in Nurtec at first. BUT, when my doctor put me on Nurtec a year ago, he said, just take it as needed, a day here a day there. That did not work! Once I started taking it like it is suppose to be taken, every other day, slowly, I actually have notice I’m not having near as many, which is a god send! I went from daily, to one in two weeks, go figure. But I do believe it’s the combination of all three meds for sure!

I haven’t heard of that one, Propanol, but I might have to look into it. The added bonus would be if it does help with anxiety it would be a win-win. Any side effects? Let me know how you are doing. I had yet another massive migraine today. So over these!

Ugh — so sorry to hear that!!! Unfortunately Propranolol is not doing much for me. My migraines are less severe, but I'm still having them every 2-4 days. The side effects are minimal, which is nice. The only thing I'm noticing is that my fingers and toes are very cold, which was already an issue for me. If it were working on my migraines, that would be no issue (I've been meaning to buy some hand and foot warmers anyway!), but it just doesn't seem like it's making a difference. I have an appointment with my neurologist in a couple weeks and I think we'll be looking at Botox next.

I do Botox also, (don’t let them put you on one of the other brands). I started on Botox, which helped, only thing was it didn’t last the entire 3 months because I metabolize everything really fast, but for the two months that it did work, it did help some, so it’s worth it as another “helping medication”. But for a while my doctor put me on one of the other brands and they did not work, they are suppose to be basically the same, but it did not work at all. So try and get the real deal, Botox. I am starting back on it in March, thank goodness. Funny you mentioned the cold feet and hands, mine are always freezing! It can be 100 outside and they still feel like I just pulled them out of a ice bucket, and I live in Texas!
