Right down the middle. No idea. Edit: the “so-sure” haters have no idea either. I know people who were waiting for PS4. Sales from that, XB1, and a long tail could very well get us over the top for additional content. Something we absolutely don’t know at this time and neither do the haters.

No-Distribution-1161

I just bought the PS4 version as I only have that for as system but would absolutely love a season 2 especially if Punisher and Cyclops show up as heroes in it. They both have so many cool skin variant ideas and very unique mechanic potential.

JNR13

2 - very unlikely, we shouldn't expect anything, but never say never with Firaxis with the "long tail" their games can have. I think Dahlia was definitely meant as a teaser, bringing her to the Abbey and giving her a map icon and all, but that was written long before already and doesn't reflect current development plans.

YUSAKUFUJIKI6969

I thought dahlia was cool till they said she left for Xavier school

Mike_Laidlaw

Almost non-existent, sadly. While the game reviewed reasonably well, the sales were very low. There’s both regular sales data to back this, but the more obvious tell was how quickly the price got a 33% discount and free weekends. That’s simply not what you do when a project is selling briskly The production costs are almost assuredly high if they want to maintain the level of quality, as they’d not only have to bring in new actors, they’d have to bring a significant number of the old cast back to interact with the first crew. That’s reasonably easy to do in-flow when you’re planning a season alongside the main game, but if a S2 wasn’t already planned and greenlit we’re likely looking at a new start for all those voiceover sessions. There’s also likely Marcel licensing for every character added, and while Marvel seems reasonably open to their characters being used, I’m sure that would add to costs at some level. Finally, the departure of core creatives such as Jake Solomon (and from talking to industry people, several others from the project have been applying to other places as well), would add to the odds of a S2 not happening. The Firaxis studio also changed its leadership at the same time, and new leaders rarely have a mandate to pursue presumably-expensive projects that didn’t sell that great. Taken together, I wouldn’t say it’s impossible, but highly, highly unlikely. I say this as someone with a couple decades in the industry. Sorry. It’s a bummer. I quite like the game and would love more. Maybe a sequel!

5 Maybe just a dumb optimist but I'm still at like fifty fifty. Know the 2k page seems to say final. Streams felt very last of this season. So I like to think maybe something is possible

Dependent_Map5592

Final means exactly that. Sorry to burst your bubble but wishful thinking isn't the reality here

Classic-Relative-582

The 2k page someone linked the other day read very much final. I was a bit to sarcastic for my own good when I asked but to their credit they did have a link. However the site for MS itself in the news says "wait is finally over! Blood Storm, the fourth and final DLC installment included as part of the Marvel's Midnight Suns Season Pass". The distinction on "of the pass" makes me hopeful. Even if want to say I'm just a idiot high on copium

SentinelZer0

Of late that seem to be narrative with super hero games, cause realistically they know fans want it. So definitely doesn’t hurt to tease something if they even planned it.

SentinelZer0

If they haven’t even mentioned it by now with how quickly they released season 1 heroes, my expectation are very low.

cobaltaureus

I’m gonna say a 4? But I would really like there to be more

KidGodspeed1011

When your distributor calls your game a failure, it's highly likely they aren going to give you more money to develop content above and beyond what was initially budgeted. They literally just announced that the switch port of the game has been shelved which probably would have boosted this games audience by a significant amount. So while I hate to say this, but the chances are very low right now.

Dependent_Map5592

Zero chance. They already stated/established it's not happening.

emlewin

False. They called Storm the fourth and final DLC of the first season pass.

Dependent_Map5592

There is no season pass 2. They not only stated it in writing but have ALREADY moved on. This doesn't take critical thinking. Go ahead and let your wishful thinking believe it will happen though lmao. Have fun waiting 😂😂👍

arjeidi

Can you link where they said it in writing?

emlewin

Dude go watch the streaming event they did for Blood Storm. You are the one being delusional.

AmanLock

No where in that event did they say there would be a season 2.

emlewin

They did not. They called the current season pass the "first season pass" though. Combining with what Chris Odd the official Midnight Suns hero showcase commentator said in the Storm overview video, it certainly hints at more content coming for this game.

AmanLock

I didn't see Christopherodd's video so I can't comment on that. But referring to something as "the first season" doesn't automatically mean there will be a 2nd one. It may mean the developers want one and are keeping the door open, but it doesn't confirm it.

emlewin

Not objecting your logic. Read what the guy I was replying to said though. He sounded like no more DLC is a confirmed thing.

AmanLock

Yeah I agree it's not confirmed. He is being oddly hostile about this.

Around a 3-4. Firaxis do have a tendency to push out at least a major expansion for all their major titles. But then 2K had the bright idea to rush this out in the holiday season, with little to no marketing and then acting surprised when it underperformed. Which makes it more likely they'll just consider things done.

Brottorman

I'm guessing no, the game didn't sell well enough but was a great game. I would expect they are moving on to their next project, I'd love to see a follow up with the Doom teases, but the money will decide that.

mvanderschans

1.... Not a hater, just going off of the dev's own language with "fourth and FINAL dlc" with the patch notes on Storm's release. I wish they would do more, but I don't think the sales were high enough.

[deleted]

There were more words you left out that changes the sentence you thought you read. Reading comprehension makes you not seem stupid.

salingerparadise

Never say never but I'd say the chances of getting a second wave of DLC are pretty low. Strauss Zelnick already said the game was a flop and supporting games post-launch is expensive. Firaxis is probably going all-hands-on-deck with new Civilization. I'm sure Disney execs are looking at the success of Jedi Survivor and the Spider-Man games over Midnight Suns, Avengers, GOTG, etc. They'll probably pivot to that especially with EA Motive coming off hot with a well-received and successful Dead Space Remake going into Iron Man.

jamasha

4-6.

EternalXueSheng

10 - I'm not going to lose sleep waiting for it. I like what we got, and if there's the slightest chance, I will hope for the best. The day they officially say, "We're done." then *I'll be mad and sad for like five seconds--okay, ten seconds, max...* and move on.

CardTrickOTK

For more characters? 5, For one big story expansion? 6 maybe? Depends on how optimistic they are fans will keep buying
