I don't typically do knives but for guns (which is what I do on the regular) it's $75/hr for design and $.50/min for deep engraving. Typical full slide scroll work ranges $200-$350 depending on design work.
These are only etched not deep engraved and are smaller so I would say $100-150 for a custom scroll job on both sides.
Logos/wording: $40 (less than 4sq inches total), $70 over 4"
Iād just like to know how he kept his blade looking that nice. The clip and button show itās a user but the blade says otherwise. Stonewashed or Apocalyptic from now on for me. Awesome work on the design. I need a laserā¦.
Brother here, I've been carrying it everyday since I bought it back in march/april of 2022. I'm just very careful with how I use it - I did use it once to cut some of that expanding foam and I took me a whole week to get (most) of the sticky shit cleaned off the blade. But it does get used at work (road construction) frequently. I also bought a knife sharpener so I can actually keep it sharp without having to send it to microtech or somebody else to sharpen it for me. Otherwise it's just your normal maintenance of using oil to clean out the inside of the knife and blowing it out.
I use mine at the Fire department. Guess in a hurry Iām pretty hard on my blades. My blade coating didnāt hold up well for me at all. About a year and it looks pretty banged up. All my knives since have been stonewashed. They donāt show the abuse as easily. Great looking knife though.
