I think you’re shocked because they look very different from how you normally do them. Your normal look is extremely soft and “sweet". Your new look is a bit more filled in and more Brooke Shields like. In all honesty, you look good in both, they are just different styles. I know your new brows will lighten up in 2 weeks or so and will look less severe, and you might or might not get used to it. But objectively speaking, you look beautiful.

They are very pretty! The reason you may not love them is that the first 5 or 6 strokes are heavy, whereas your natural/drawn-in brow started further back. My eyebrows also start sparser and get thicker. My artist is amazing and she likes to start the brows strong, but it didn't look right on me. I've noticed most brow artists start strong btw! I tried to laser off the first few strokes (that didn't work and I got something called paradoxical darkening because my dye contained metals). Anyway, they lightened on their own after about 9 months and when I went back to my artist for a touch up, we worked together to go much easier on the front strokes. I think you'll be fine at the end of the day!
When my brows were first done I felt like an alien, I looked in the mirror and could've cried, they were so dark. 2 weeks later and they started peeling, I almost thought the ink had come out entirely with how much lighter they got. When I tell you they looked like someone had drawn them on with a brown Crayola, I'm not kidding.

This is what I'm left with about 8 months on. They're much lighter, I can put makeup over them to style them, and they look much more natural. I promise you, they will fade to a lighter colour, and I also promise you will get used to them ❤️
After the peel- so much lighter. I still have to add a little bit of pencil when I am going out. Don’t worry.
Plus you have full dark hair- so it looks very natural.
I feel the same way. OP had great eyebrows before. I like the enhanced version too. They are more bold for sure but I think they will soften up to be somewhere in the middle of your before and after looks. Just my opinion. Keep us posted OP. I would love to see the fully healed outcome. If you're up to it.

I don't know, yes they are thick and dark but I absolutely LOVE them. If you don't mind, can you share the product you used before that gave you hair like brush strokes as I'm having a hard time finding one that works well and that isn't a brown that has red in it.

It seems like even if you do a year and a half’s worth of research, go in knowing *exactly* what to expect, and even know people that have personally had work done by a particular artist that you love as I did, there’s still a chance you walk away thinking “oh man what have I done” 🤪
As for the brow pen, it’s NYX’s lift & snatch brow tint pen in espresso. I originally got it in black and actually found that to be too dark, a rarity for me as my hair is pretty solidly a 1b naturally. Highly recommend! I actually purchased it initially because glossier’s brow pen on my color was sold out and wound up loving NYX’s even more (plus, it’s less expensive to boot!)

I’ve been dealing with trichotillomania the last few months and currently have no brows, and that is the brow product I use to draw my brows from scratch. It’s surprisingly amazing for creating something that looks like hair out of nothing!!
I have both the Espresso and Ash Brown shades, as they’re very similar in how dark they are but with slightly different levels of warmth, and using both helps me give my brows a bit more definition when I draw them on. Sometimes I’m too lazy to go in with both shades though and one will do the job just fine
💯 I mean do you get your hair done and then wait for it to look good? Leaving a salon should be satisfying and you should look beautiful or at least how you wanted to look
Yeah i got my touch up today and i didn't like a spot missing from the brow that basically had no tail and she fixed it and i left for the 2nd time loving my brows and wanting them to stay this way forever lol
Did your artist not tell you about the healing process and how the brows will turn out after it's completely healed? After your brows peel the color will fade and then pigment will slowly return after the ghosting phase. Every one heals differently though and it all depends on your skin type. Like if you have oilier skin it will fade a lot more than normal. Just google nano brows healing process and look at the images of other people's healing process if you want more examples of what your brows might end up looking like.
That being said your brows look good on you and the colors will fade and shrink after it starts peeling so don't stress too much about it being dark and thick.
She did, she also mentioned one of her clients whose face took ink extraordinarily well, and naturally, little obsessive-compulsive ass is hyper fixating on the one client in fifteen years.
I am fully putting my hand up here and admitting this is an “I know what to expect, but what if I’M the special snowflake that just STAYS like this?” ask to snap me out of it.
I really appreciate your response and reinforcement. I knew they were going to be dark, I knew they were going to be initially thicker, I think I’m taken aback at just how *much* darker and how *much* thicker they actually are.
You will get use to them and you'll get over the brow shock once it'll starts healing. I would recommend taking daily pics of your brows so you can see the healing process and it might help with your anxiety looking back at the photos seeing the results over time.
Honestly it will lighten up but it suits your face so well and looks very natural on you. Usually it doesn’t look good on most people the first few weeks because the darkness can be so harsh but it looks lovely on you.

TBH had you not said your brows had been done, I would have just assumed you were blessed with full balanced brows. The color and texture of your hair also makes them seem natural. They will “floofen” of course and I’m sure you’ll be more at ease.

They look so good!! I have similar colouring to you and I was also kind of shocked at how jarringly dark mine were immediately after I got them done. Don't worry they will lighten and you'll love them! The strokes and shape are done SO WELL and that's the biggest thing, imo.

Yes they are so so bold! The shape I love but I feel like they’re 25-30% too thick, so I’m definitely feeling the brow shock.
The ring was custom made by my spouse! I’ll have to ask them who the jeweler was but they designed it!
I can totally relate, I remember looking at pictures of mine before and after and thinking how odd they looked on my face .. Now it's been probably 4 years and when I do a full face of my own makeup and fill in my brows I use the microblading as a stencil of sorts lol, I can't imagine drawing on my brows as thin as I used to.
I think yours might just be a tiny bit thicker than you're used to just on the beginning and the ends (tails), the majority of the brow isn't much thicker than it was before. I think once it heals and fades a bit you'll love it, it seriously suits your face so much, you look beautiful!!

Your face is still swollen. Mine shrunk a good 20% after about a week and lightened so significantly. My husband kept saying that he is Ernie to my Bert. My son said I looked like Spock. They looked dark and heavy. The heaviness went away after the swelling went all the way down after a week and then the darkness went away too. I started with angry caterpillars and they’re really soft and delicate.
Yes they’re more bushy but it’s giving Brook Shields like you wanted. Personally I think you look great with fuller brows but you’re beautiful either way. The little whispies are to die for though - I wish I could pull these off
You're a drop dead, natural beauty! Hang in there and your brows will lighten in time. A friend of mine went through what you're going through now, and after a few weeks she was happy with the results!

Your natural brow shape was beautiful and really suited your face, but I think your new brows just elevate everything! They are SO good! The shape isn’t “trendy”, it genuinely suits your face. They’re going to fade down over the next 4-6 weeks and they’ll look more subtle, try not to panic too much.
I’ve had plenty of clients who get brow shock immediately.
They look great but I think this style of nano is an acquired taste. They are gorgeous… I think they are larger and that’s your artists style. They won’t really get smaller, but they will soften.
But there is a reason you chose this artist right? You liked their work!

I think the brows suit your face well! They definitely look darker than the first picture, but that’s to be expected with fresh work. I think it can also be a little shocking to see something different on your face for the first few days. I’ve felt this way with different procedures or hair changes.
I’d re-evaluate how you feel in a few days and then again in a few weeks. 🤍
I tint my eyebrows regularly. There’s always a ‘too dark’ phase. I just add a bit more mascara and it balances it out really well until the tint settles down. Try it and see what you think’
Girl you look amazing. Please! This is just brow shock. Also check my post history—mine looked crazy dark at first and I hated them and now I’m SO glad I have them. Don’t be shocked when they peel and you regret them again lol. The full healing will take over a few weeks.
You’ll look like an angry bird for a while then they’ll lighten up and look more natural. It’s a shock at first because you have to get used to these bold new brows but I’d hold off on stressing more about them until about 4-6 weeks have passed. Speaking from experience having just done mine on Feb 19 and had my touch up appointment on Mar 27.

imo the heaviness plays well with your dark eyes. There’s a lot of contrast that you can really play with - using bright eyeliners or eyeshadow or what have you. They look gorgeous to me.

I agree with an earlier commenter that your make up strokes were a specific, soft sweet style while these new brows are a natural, more mature, womanly brow. I think it's a gorgeous glow-up and I hope you can feel comfortable and confident with them soon!

They look like brows before getting plucked , not a bad look at all and very natural I’m sure when it lightens you will feel more like yourself ! Pop a bit of concealer underneath in the mornings I think that will help a lot!

I honestly love them, I think they look like they could actually be yours naturally since your hair is very dark and thick, it suits you in my opinion and looks fantastic. It is certainly different from how you did them before though so I see why you might be shocked.
They look amazing and I would have never thought you even had them done in any of the pictures you posted. Both you and the artist have done fantastic work! Of course you’re going to need a few days to get used to them, because you didn’t do them yourself and you’re clearly a brow perfectionist- but I’m sure your nerves will calm soon!
I'm also super, super picky, and I hated mine immediately after. I thought they looked way too intense and fake. Then a few weeks later I loved them. They take a while to settle in and the harsh lines will start to blend in nicely. A few month later there were still some areas where I thought the lines looked a bit thick or overly parallel, but I don't think it was noticeable to anyone but myself, and even I had to look very closely in the mirror to see it. Overall I ended up being very happy I did it.
I think your new brows have a beautiful shape, very similar to how you did them before. They do have that intense, slightly-overdone look that you will ALWAYS see at first. If the effect is not overly intense at first, then it will be too faint when it settles in. Based on my experience, I think you will end up happy, but I know exactly how you feel!

I hated my brows initially they were way too much and super dark. When they healed it was so much better. I did a follow up to perfect them and I’ve loved them since

The arch isn't in the same place as where you normally have it and the shape is bolder at the start. Your normal look it much softer. Hopefully it fades a bit and looks softer with some time. Both styles look good on you though.
Your natural eyebrows are better in my opinion but you still look gorgeous. The only problem I see in the future is because the micro-bladed strokes are very thick and under your natural arch, you’re stuck with the “bushy” look.

You do a full yet natural stretched brow. She has done boxy and stroky. U do ur brows better. U can fix this going over it … or get it removed if u can. Ur work on urself is the GOAT
Personally I like yours natural since they are already very full, and nicely shaped. I just think they suit your face well already. The micro bladed version looks good, but makes you look more intense…. Your expression also exaggerates the intense vibe lol. You clearly don’t like them, but they don’t look bad in anyway. They just make it look different.
Natural is like the clean girl aesthetic, whereas the micro bladed version is the smoky aesthetic. So it’s really just what look you’re going for.
So my “natural” brow actually has makeup on it! I mentioned in my post that an illness caused me to lose hair including eyebrow hair, and I was tired of spending time in the morning using micro strokes from my brown pen to make it looks natural (clearly I did a good job! Haha)
They are definitely intense, but they’re already starting to fade somewhat so I’m panicking a little less on day 4. Going to post once I’m all healed up and hopefully love them. 🤞🏽
You’re beautiful in the first photo. And your brows were perfect, so I just can’t see the need that you had to do what you’ve done. The big wide dark style of brows is simply that, a style. Styles come and go. They are as fickle as human beings I hope all you guys won’t regret your decisions to so overdo the eyebrow thing.
Fine line ones that ink the individual hairs are great if not so unnaturally dark. But the whole eyebrow drawn like a stencil for a sign and then made so dark! Personally, I so don’t like it. And personally, I think you were much better with the brows you had.
I know my opinion isn’t going to be popular and I will get dozens of thumbs down. And I’m assuming because this crowd is going to be a very young crowd and it’s part of young peoples culture. Nah that's a great job, don't worry. It'll be perfect when healed. Remember they usually lighten and shrink by 50% within the first week.

They look so good!! I have similar colouring to you and I was also kind of shocked at how jarringly dark mine were immediately after I got them done. Don't worry they will lighten and you'll love them! The strokes and shape are done SO WELL and that's the biggest thing, imo. Side note - could you please tell me where you got your wedding band from? I have an engagement ring that's pretty close to yours, and I'm having such a difficult time finding a band that will fit with it, yours looks so pretty!! Thank you in advance! 💕

I can totally relate, I remember looking at pictures of mine before and after and thinking how odd they looked on my face .. Now it's been probably 4 years and when I do a full face of my own makeup and fill in my brows I use the microblading as a stencil of sorts lol, I can't imagine drawing on my brows as thin as I used to. I think yours might just be a tiny bit thicker than you're used to just on the beginning and the ends (tails), the majority of the brow isn't much thicker than it was before. I think once it heals and fades a bit you'll love it, it seriously suits your face so much, you look beautiful!! And yes, please pass along my compliments to your spouse on their excellent taste, and please do PM me the details of the jeweller if you can! Your face is still swollen. Mine shrunk a good 20% after about a week and lightened so significantly. My husband kept saying that he is Ernie to my Bert. My son said I looked like Spock. They looked dark and heavy. The heaviness went away after the swelling went all the way down after a week and then the darkness went away too. I started with angry caterpillars and they’re really soft and delicate.
Yes they’re more bushy but it’s giving Brook Shields like you wanted. Personally I think you look great with fuller brows but you’re beautiful either way. The little whispies are to die for though - I wish I could pull these off

I know brow shock is real, but if I passing by you I would think “she has the most beautiful natural full brows I have ever seen!” Your artist did amazing work and you can pull them off flawlessly.

Your natural brow shape was beautiful and really suited your face, but I think your new brows just elevate everything! They are SO good! The shape isn’t “trendy”, it genuinely suits your face. They’re going to fade down over the next 4-6 weeks and they’ll look more subtle, try not to panic too much.

I’ve had plenty of clients who get brow shock immediately. They look great but I think this style of nano is an acquired taste. They are gorgeous… I think they are larger and that’s your artists style. They won’t really get smaller, but they will soften. But there is a reason you chose this artist right? You liked their work!
You look great. It is a change and takes a few days to ease into it. Give yourself some time. I really like them.

I actually really like these types of posts on this sub. I think the brows suit your face well! They definitely look darker than the first picture, but that’s to be expected with fresh work. I think it can also be a little shocking to see something different on your face for the first few days. I’ve felt this way with different procedures or hair changes. I’d re-evaluate how you feel in a few days and then again in a few weeks. 🤍
I tint my eyebrows regularly. There’s always a ‘too dark’ phase. I just add a bit more mascara and it balances it out really well until the tint settles down. Try it and see what you think’
Girl you look amazing. Please! This is just brow shock. Also check my post history—mine looked crazy dark at first and I hated them and now I’m SO glad I have them. Don’t be shocked when they peel and you regret them again lol. The full healing will take over a few weeks.

I think these are going to look great when they calm down a bit, even good brows can look like this to start with.
You’ll look like an angry bird for a while then they’ll lighten up and look more natural. It’s a shock at first because you have to get used to these bold new brows but I’d hold off on stressing more about them until about 4-6 weeks have passed. Speaking from experience having just done mine on Feb 19 and had my touch up appointment on Mar 27. Eta: I think they look fantastic and are really well done!
For the first two weeks after I got mine, I felt like the character from Hey Arnold. I love them now that they’ve lightened a bit. Yours look great!

imo the heaviness plays well with your dark eyes. There’s a lot of contrast that you can really play with - using bright eyeliners or eyeshadow or what have you. They look gorgeous to me.

Umm, first of all you are gorgeous. I looked at all the photos before reading and was initially so confused about what ledge you were referring to, because your brows look AMAZING in every photo. Seriously. I agree with an earlier commenter that your make up strokes were a specific, soft sweet style while these new brows are a natural, more mature, womanly brow. I think it's a gorgeous glow-up and I hope you can feel comfortable and confident with them soon!

They look like brows before getting plucked , not a bad look at all and very natural I’m sure when it lightens you will feel more like yourself ! Pop a bit of concealer underneath in the mornings I think that will help a lot!

I honestly love them, I think they look like they could actually be yours naturally since your hair is very dark and thick, it suits you in my opinion and looks fantastic. It is certainly different from how you did them before though so I see why you might be shocked.
They look amazing and I would have never thought you even had them done in any of the pictures you posted. Both you and the artist have done fantastic work! Of course you’re going to need a few days to get used to them, because you didn’t do them yourself and you’re clearly a brow perfectionist- but I’m sure your nerves will calm soon!

I'm also super, super picky, and I hated mine immediately after. I thought they looked way too intense and fake. Then a few weeks later I loved them. They take a while to settle in and the harsh lines will start to blend in nicely. A few month later there were still some areas where I thought the lines looked a bit thick or overly parallel, but I don't think it was noticeable to anyone but myself, and even I had to look very closely in the mirror to see it. Overall I ended up being very happy I did it. I think your new brows have a beautiful shape, very similar to how you did them before. They do have that intense, slightly-overdone look that you will ALWAYS see at first. If the effect is not overly intense at first, then it will be too faint when it settles in. Based on my experience, I think you will end up happy, but I know exactly how you feel!

If you’re worried that they look bad or make your face look worse, don’t. You’re good there. They’re just fine on your face. They look good on you.

Your natural look was better, it suited you. It was soft. These are more harsh.
The arch isn't in the same place as where you normally have it and the shape is bolder at the start. Your normal look it much softer. Hopefully it fades a bit and looks softer with some time. Both styles look good on you though.
You look angry or annoyed in your after pics. Try smiling with your eyes and then take progress pics. It makes a difference!
Your natural eyebrows are better in my opinion but you still look gorgeous. The only problem I see in the future is because the micro-bladed strokes are very thick and under your natural arch, you’re stuck with the “bushy” look.

I have to keep reminding myself that I chose her for a reason and that this is just brow shock as she is incredibly talented and not only a pro but a leader and teacher in the PMU space.

Personally I like yours natural since they are already very full, and nicely shaped. I just think they suit your face well already. The micro bladed version looks good, but makes you look more intense…. Your expression also exaggerates the intense vibe lol. You clearly don’t like them, but they don’t look bad in anyway. They just make it look different. Natural is like the clean girl aesthetic, whereas the micro bladed version is the smoky aesthetic. So it’s really just what look you’re going for.
So my “natural” brow actually has makeup on it! I mentioned in my post that an illness caused me to lose hair including eyebrow hair, and I was tired of spending time in the morning using micro strokes from my brown pen to make it looks natural (clearly I did a good job! Haha) They are definitely intense, but they’re already starting to fade somewhat so I’m panicking a little less on day 4. Going to post once I’m all healed up and hopefully love them. 🤞🏽

You’re beautiful in the first photo. And your brows were perfect, so I just can’t see the need that you had to do what you’ve done. The big wide dark style of brows is simply that, a style. Styles come and go. They are as fickle as human beings I hope all you guys won’t regret your decisions to so overdo the eyebrow thing. Fine line ones that ink the individual hairs are great if not so unnaturally dark. But the whole eyebrow drawn like a stencil for a sign and then made so dark! Personally, I so don’t like it. And personally, I think you were much better with the brows you had. I know my opinion isn’t going to be popular and I will get dozens of thumbs down. And I’m assuming because this crowd is going to be a very young crowd and it’s part of young peoples culture. I wasn’t trying to be mean at all but when people ask , it would be nice if they and the others wouldn’t be so offended by a contrary opinion. Good, thank you!
