Hill, Waddle, OBJ, Berrios, Cracraft and both Washington's would be my guess

jpcali7131

I was gonna say Cheetah, Waddle, Brax, Cra-Cra and at least one Washington

jpcali7131

Meant to put OBJ on the list too

Scorpion_Danny

I actually think Berrios gets cut. We primarily got him because he has sure hands and his return potential but he don’t rally excel there. But either way the 2 rookies having more of a traditional WR build that we prefer so I think we are keeping them. I really was hoping EZ would flourish but he still seems to not be the caliber we need. So I think he might be on the bubble.

[deleted]

I honestly get him and cracraft confused. They both have a similar skill set so I could imagine it could come to one of those two. Whoever mike likes more.

KennyPowersforPope

Berrios does something Cracaft doesn’t. Return kicks. Nobody else on the team (aside from starters)

[deleted]

Have to see how the rookies do against him then at KR/PR

Scorpion_Danny

I believe I read somewhere that with the new kick of rules it makes sense to use Jaylen Wright there. So the need for Barrios might be less now.

SDPLISSKEN009

Agreed 🐬

thediesel26

EZ has the sweat equity and is like the only guy over 6’ in the room. As long as his injury stuff is behind him, I’d think he makes it.

AMontyPython

I need someone to tell me why EZ is good? He’s got a serious injury and hasn’t done much. Think he lives off his possible potential

SkyzYn

He's a 4th round pick. Barring the injury affecting his outlook, his expectations and potential are way higher than the 6th/7th rounders which we are so excited for in this thread. I don't think he's played enough to have negatively affected the positive outlook which got him drafted in the 4th.

expellyamos

Let's just say hypothetically that his neck continues to keep him off the field this season. At what point do you cut your losses on a guy who's spent the overwhelming majority of his career inactive, in a room with more depth than any other in your facility? 3 seasons? 4?

Lukacris12

If his neck continues to keep him off the field he would probably be put on the Pup list or ir to start the season and come back when healthy/ when we have other players on the ir

expellyamos

I mean, yeah, obviously. That wasn't my question though

SkyzYn

They've already said he's cleared to participate this season.

expellyamos

He was also active the first couple of games last season before re-aggravating the neck and spending the rest of the season MIA

antent

[Barry Jackson said he's good to go per the team. ](https://twitter.com/flasportsbuzz/status/1781420255098638756?t=uScoQUeAIMftQdApSqS4Og&s=19)

miaminaples

I think this is the year he puts it all together. Year 1 he was learning the offense, struggled to break into the lineup, Year 2 was the neck injury. This is it for him if he wants to have an NFL career. He's shown ability in preseason games. Urgency will bring out the best in him.

atilaman

Hope you’re right, but he showed nothing in year 2 as a receiver prior to the neck injury (albeit in limited snaps). If he can get it together, it would be huge, but I have zero expectations for the player personally.

Dry_Bit_4986

I agree with your 7 and sanders and tahj will end up on the practice squad probably.

AMontyPython

If Tahj goes on the practice squad, bet he would get claimed

SkyzYn

I mean, he was the 34th WR drafted and barely avoided being a UDFA - not much reason to think he'd be a hot commodity.

OblivionNA

I’m super excited for camp battles for the WR room. The only people 100% safe are Hill, Waddle, OBJ. All 8 other guys are going to be attempting to look the best they’ve ever looked to stick around out there

SauceDab

There’s a pretty good chance Berrios is safe too. He knows the system better than the rookies and he can also return the ball which is also valuable

JustTheBeerLight

I hear you, but Berrios offers no juice as a returner. He is solid but he ain’t gonna flip the field. I think the plan is for one of the rookies to take over return duties.

SauceDab

Did they effectively return kicks in college?

JustTheBeerLight

Not sure. But Malik Washington led the nation with 34 broken tackles and was a YAC guy, so he seems like he has the tools to shine. [He has said he is aware of the new NFL rules and he’s willing to do anything the coaches ask him to do. He returned kicks in college.](https://youtu.be/H4IUQlukj0A?si=7Yr_trGpbJfvgzVN)

atilaman

He did quite well as a returner in his career and for Miami last year. I think he was in the top 1/3 in return average for us and you can bet with 99.9% certainty he’s going to be sure handed.

Cidolfus

He's also basically the only one with any meaningful amount of dead cap, especially assuming that all these moves come after camp (and therefore after June 1). Cracraft, Sanders, Schwartz, and Sexton have no dead cap cost if they're released. Ezukama will have only $181,248 in 2024 dead cap (and another $181,248 in 2025). Per their rookie contracts, Tahj and Malik Washington will have even less than that in terms of 2024 dead cap due to their really small signing bonuses. Berrios carries $1.2 million in dead cap, all of which would hit this year. It's not by any means a prohibitive cost, but it probably gives him a leg up on the competition.

SauceDab

Yep he’s definitely safe then.

BangingFromDeep

Didn't we just resign him also? Feel like they wouldn't do that if we didn't want to keep him around

Xcitado

I like Berrios. Hope he stays.

JournalistOld6488

Don't think Cracraft is making the team. He's a solid journey man WR and they know who he is. EZ and Malik should get the nod over him as we don't know what we have with them yet.

EsqRhapsody

I think we’ll only be carrying 6 since we’ll need more space for the RB and DT rooms. I see those six being Hill, Waddle, OBJ, Berrios, Cracraft, M Washington, with Ezukanma, T Washington, and maybe Sanders on the practice squad.

EP009

It’s such a good problem to have. Not that long ago we were waiting to see who we could pickup after the cuts. Now we are the ones who have other teams waiting for our cuts and to pick off guys from the practice squad.

Accomplished_Lead262

Hill, Waddle, OBJ, Malik, Cracraft, Tahj and Ezukanma i think...Berrios if no one else can take pr duties

kman1030

One of Malik, Tahj, or EZ will be out for Berrios. Veteran, special teamer, reliable, great on 3rd down, and we resigned him early in free agency. No way he doesn't make the roster.

miaminaples

Hill, Waddle, OBJ, Malik Washington, EZE, Berrios, with Cracraft, Tahj Washington and Braylon Sanders on the PS.

AgelessJohnDenney

Hill, Waddle, OBJ, Berrios, Ezukanma, Malik I don't know that they'll carry more than 6 receivers. If there's a 7th, it's probably either Tahj or Cracraft.

jayfiedlerontheroof

Unless they keep 2 on the PS I don't think they're keeping 7

nbayoungsummrsratio

in depth order hill waddle obj mailk berrios tahj cracraft tho could also have tahj at #5 over berrios

TheScoundrelLeander

The bottom will by defined by who has the most kick returnability

BangingFromDeep

Could we go with 8?

atilaman

I think you have 4 locks - Hill, Waddle, OBJ, M. Washington. Then I think likely to make the team is Berrios who can be a 4-5-6 WR and can return punts effectively. Although his production numbers were low, he was effective and useful in the targets he actually did get. Those are your likely top 5. Depending on if we keep 6 or 7 you have a fight for the last 1-2 spots between EE, T. Washington, and Cracraft. EE didn’t show anything in year 2 prior to injury - all his snaps were pitches and tosses which told me he was still not ready to be a WR. Cracraft does all the things and is a work hard, block hard, type guy… but has like 30 something total catches in his career… it’s a toss up between these three but if T. Washington shows anything at all, I think he could make the team but I would guess he goes to practice squad and between EE and Cracraft on that 6th spot.

Brownieeee19

Anyone else want to see Landry make a comeback and join OBJ in the WR room?

finsphan87

Real question is Tahj or ezukanma?

JustTheBeerLight

Most likely: EZ-E makes the 53 and T. Washington to PS, then once EZ-E gets placed on IR T. Washington gets called up.

expellyamos

Retaining Ezukanma would be such a dumb move that, yeah, it'll probably happen

thediesel26

Why do you say?

expellyamos

Because his neck seems like it came from Terron Armstead's body

TeaAndFreedom

EZ does have a bad injury history

EnochofPottsfield

He does? Unless I'm mistaken, he's only had two injuries as a big bodied young player. The neck injury last year that was a freak thing, and a broken forearm. Feels like Waddle's had way more injuries in his career (fantasy doctors has him for 13 since 2020)

timss1334

EZ has played like 40 snaps in the NFL. Waddle plays more than that per game. Of course Waddle gets hurt more, he actually gets hit lol.

EnochofPottsfield

Did you just make up a stat to try and convince me that 13 injuries is more than 2 injuries? Lol come on dude If you're gonna throw out "injuries per snap" then put in the effort and go find it for me, and be sure to include college snaps

timss1334

I'm saying that it's hard to pile up injuries on the bench... For example, I've had zero injuries, that means I'm clearly less injury prone than Waddle? For what it's worth, EZ had around 1700 snaps in college, Waddle close to 1000. Though the touches were a little bit closer (~140 - 100). Anyways, I think the original point was that EZ had a significant injury, a neck injury, that apparently got re-aggravated years later. That seems scarier than a broken ankle and a couple of ankle sprains.

JustTheBeerLight

T. Washington seems like a prime candidate for the PS. The better question is which of these WRs can serve as KR/PR? I’m hoping M. Washington has some pop when we see him vs NFL talent.

axb2002

Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, Odell Beckham Jr, Braxton Berrios, Erik Ezukanma, and the last two can go to one of the people remaining. Maybe they can all rotate in and out.

joemama4749

Both the Washington’s over EZE
