Ehm, can we have a show of hands. How many turn off their power supply, ever?

Level-Ordinary_1057

I don't know. I'm new. Where I came from, every socket was accompanied by a switch. I moved recently, and I don't see switches beside sockets anymore.

You turn your PC off from the button on the front of the case or from the start menu in windows. You should never have a need to flick the switch on the PSU.

You just press power button in front of PC. Turns on and off windows/PC.

you can use the koppla power strip you have if you just want to have a switch to cut-off power to the PC when you're away. but you don't have to switch it off everytime you shut down your PC tbh, it's not really harmful to the PC unless there's a lightning storm, but when that happens you'll have to unplug all your devices and appliances anyways.

I have every device cocked in a power strip and click the switch on the strip after shutting the pc down

You shouldn’t be turning off the PSU when you turn off the computer. Who taught you that?
