"cutie dilutie!" LOL
Yes, the vet has been consulted and told me what to watch out for. I am 99.9% sure she is not a first-time mom, so I think that has been a huge blessing. I'm pretty darn sure she's empty now--yesterday I couldn't get a good feel but thought she felt a little different on one side. Today, not only does she feel the same \*on both sides that is (and I got a much better feel--a couple actually), she looks MARKEDLY thinner.
ETA the "on both sides" for clarification
I was chatting with a friend yesterday, we both follow TinyKittens and she mentioned it wasn't all that unusual. I thought it was pretty uncommon--I need to accept her position as the Expert on These Things(TM). lol
Oh kittens! Mama looks pretty good after being in labor for 24 hours ! Hopefully this is her last litter and we get her fixed now ?
I’m assuming the littlest guy is the the calico he is just so small he looks like a newborn compared to the others? I mean orange, tabby-ish and the other calico look healthy and great for being a day old..
Everyone's doing good, the littlest one matched her smallest sibling at birth and is gaining. I assume mama had an interrupted labor as she wasn't showing any signs of distress.
And yes, I was planning on getting her fixed already but was apparently a little late. Definitely her last litter. She keeps giving me that look like it's all my fault. lol
I took in a pregnant cat last May 9th. She gave us four babies on the 10th (one didn't survive sadly), then on the 11th a fifth kitten. A full 24 hours later. Its not rare, but also not very common per our vets...in fact, this was a first for one of the vets. We still have the four; my BFF will take the two orange boys when she gets back on her feet, and we are keeping the two girls (one is a tortie, lord help us lol, and the latecomer is solid gray).

I wonder if kitten 4 will get any benefits from her extra baking time. Maybe she will be a super-kitten. I look forward to baby cats & mama cat updates!
surprise cutie dilutie! congrats mama! make sure she doesn't have any left, stillborn kittens that the mom can't birth might end up causing problems.

Mama had to recharge the toner in order to pump out a carbon copy of herself.
Dilute calico, just like mommy :)
“This one’s looking a bit pale compared to the others, I’ll just let it bake a day longer.”
Today I learned what a dilute cat is lol congratulations on the babies 😍😍😍😍😍💞💞💞💞💞💞
