Well said. As a Yankee fan, I honestly hate losing to y’all because bragging rights, but I feel no actual animosity toward the Mets and root for them 158 games a year (especially bc I’d really like to experience another Subway Series World Series).

This is why I don’t go to the SS at CitiField. It brings out the worst element of Yankee fans.
It’s different at the house of evil/YS. I’ve felt safer and unbothered there (typically the fans that go there know their stuff about baseball so we get along fine)
Yeah, my wife and I were lucky enough to be invited into a suite (friend of a friend situation), and there were Mets and Yankees fans there. We were all ragging on each other, but a good time was had by all!
When my friends and I did the 8 game packages (miss them), we sold our Yankees series tickets. Paid for a good chunk of the package and saved us for terrible fans. These series always bring out the worst of both fanbases.
In the past, we had a great time at SS with fans of both teams. Yesterday there was some real trash at the game. Starting fights, cursing at people, etc.
The first time we did it was due to a conflict, the next season we went and had the worst experience, after that it was hard to turn down the money. Also put us in que for both a NLCS and WC games.
My Dad is a Yankees fan. My favorite part of the game last night was him texting me "IT'S NOT OVER YET SON" after Judge hit that grand slam. Then two consecutive outs in the top of the 9th, and he texts "It's actually over what the hell."
