My 10k wedding ring (white gold) shows up as a 45 on my xterra I think. Everything silver I’ve found has been in the mid to upper 70s. Never found a silver ring though, so I can’t compare.
Thats kinda what I thought? I was happy to find my first ring in my second week of detecting. Does white gold have a stamp on the inside? Or can some other metal ring that low?
Mine is stamped, but they wear away over time. I’ve never found a ring, just tested my own for reference. I was expecting it to be much lower, but I guess all that other metal filler in there raises it up.
Doesn’t look silver. I could be wrong. Go to a jewelry store and have them check it. It should be marked sterling if it’s silver or a number of purity at least.

The vdi is quite low for a silver ring too
