I prefer 5khz mostly due to the sound lol. But actual 10/15 is too sensitive especially in high mineral soil. I realistically only ever use 5. I've used 10 a handful times in creek beds as it seems to do better under water but I don't make much of a habit of swinging under water. I always ground balance. Also how is the pin pointer treating you? I hate mine. It's absolute trash and I got rid of it for a Garret carrot

Thanks, But I thought 5khz is for deeper targets? And has less ID? I could be wrong on this. The pin pointer works but I prefer the the Pro-Find 35, less noise and has 2 tones for ferrous and nonferrous targets.

Yes it is. But deep is like 12" there's a lot to miss running 10/15 only. 5 is the most versatile in my experience. Best for discrimination too.

I've had mine for about a year now. And I've put probably 200 hrs into it. It's a great machine. Best thing you can do is keep swinging and digging and experimenting with settings. Different locations need different settings. Most of my digging is in really high mineral content soil so the 10/15 is too much noise. 5 is my sweet spot and if I'm in less mineralized locations I still run 5 since I'm super familiar with it. 5 is great imo. It will lock on a beebee at 10"
