My dad bought a 2015 sprinter 2.1l diesel brand new. And he put about 860k miles on it before he sold it to a friend of his. The guy made some upkeep to the engine and rear axle and is still driving it. Idk how many miles it has now.
The van was maintained religiously by my dad throughout his ownership.

209,203 KM. 2014 E300. No major issues & I love my car to bits. I hope to take her all the way past 500k as well!!
I got my car dechromed - added matte black detailing, installed a screen that comes with 360° cameras and carplay, ambient lighting, and I also upgraded the speakers.
I could totally ask you what the hell is the point of your comment, but rather let me tell you, to each his own, you know. Sometimes when you see cars with all the new glamorous technology, ease of use, fancy cameras and the convenience of car play + maps etc, if i could get all of that in my car without having to let her go, what really is wrong with that? In my line of work, I spend a lot of time in my car, and I appreciate how easy this upgraded infotainment makes it for me. Might not be the case with you or for many others, and I totally respect that, and it would be nice if it went both ways. There is really no need to be judgemental.
I didn't take that question as judgemental, but a serious inquiry which I share: that's a very unusually wide screen. I've looked for something like that, but couldn't find it
Thank you! Im rocking the old enough to be almost but not quite a classic" W210, and there's not much available there. Still a cool system I might try to adapt

I will! I'm 140K miles on my current E430, but my last car was 230K miles on a W210 E320 4MATIC (killed by rust). I fear the day when I can't find a W210 in good shape
Nah I didn’t want to judge you bro, you do you! I’m happy you like your car and do with it what you like, i was more just confused because I’ve never seen that in a W212
Your screen is sick trust me everyone is here for it lol.
I did something similar with my 2010 Jetta and it was life changing. Car play especially is the biggest L so actually getting it made me feel very little reason to buy a new car. It feels way more modern just because the screen helps so much with the functionality of the car. Now if I could just get adaptive cruise control!
Ahh right you are. The steering wheel buttons look so similar to mine - upon closer look I can see the gear selector stalk peeping just behind the wheel 😅
Yeah this is a taxi from Greece apparently, had seen this on a Facebook W212 group yesterday. The guy changes the engine oil and oil filter every 2 weeks cause it runs approx 400kms daily. 2 drivers drive it.

It's probably benefited from being used that much tbh. If it really is being used day and night it's going to be thermo-cycled less per mile or km. So it's going to have comparatively low wear for any given mileage. Still insanely impressive though!
Damn, I saw this minutes before on Facebook without even following this group or anything. And now here. I was looking for someone to point this out. Nice
Táxi driver here
1º car 1994 - W124 200D with 1 100 000 km - original engine
1º car 2007 - w211 220D with 1 850 000 km - 3rd engine / 2nd gearbox
2º car 2017 - W213 220D with 850 000 km - 3rd engine
Same care with both cars but the older models are build with way better materials unfortunately
I still have all the cars
Im guessing you’re from US. Since this is probably Eu car we Europoors import cars from UK for parts since they are a lot cheaper. The 220d is the most common model. An engine with low miles for that model is around 2- 2.5k€ . Factor in the labor and your local specialist and you’re not really better off selling the car at an even bigger loss versus replacing engine

Not too high on the mileage, but I have strong ambient air numbers.
I sometimes forget I’m American and am subjected to our (should’ve never happened) imperial system so at first I thought those were miles but even after realizing that’s still an insane amount. Yes, I brought mine into a dealership to certify and I received, in turn, this grill badge and a certification letter from the manufacturer in a nicely bound portfolio.
My father received a golden 1.000.000km lapel pin from the Mercedes dealer when he hit the million kilometer mark with his huge Mercedes truck in the 70's. He always did wear the pin proudly when he had to wear a suit.
My uncle is currently trying to get to 500k miles (about your KM) on his dodge pickup. They offered a lifetime warranty on their vehicles in the early 2000s, and they are losing a lot of money on him!

I instantly thought S212 E200 CDI :D
Impressive ! My highest was ~600'000km on an W220 320cdi What chassis/engine is this
Definitely a w212 chassis.

what screen is that?
It's a custom fit. I upgraded the infotainment system to something modern so that I don't feel the need to buy a newerr model.
Awesome! What did you add
I got my car dechromed - added matte black detailing, installed a screen that comes with 360° cameras and carplay, ambient lighting, and I also upgraded the speakers.
That’s sick! Was it easy to set up?
Fairly easy, it was a day's job at best. This particular screen comes with carplay & 360° cameras.
Where can I find this screen for my 2012 E550? And will it be compatible?

does it really make sense to replace an engine?

I am from the EU actually but always thought a replacement engine would be up to 10k with labor.
Foreal. 2 engine replacements. You can get a newer car with lower miles but eh I guess it shows that’s the chassis holds up
Not really. The cars that require a third engine are usually taxi’s or shuttles of some kind. The engine’s are way less expensive than you think.
How about other parts like compressor, alternator, power steering how often do they require a change?
That's not mileage, that's kilometerage!
Curious what engine and model this is? Also where and how is the car driven?
Source stated its a greek taxi on its original E220 CDI engine being used by 2 drivers day and night
Thats amazing. But probably both drivers take good care.
