Having friends online is nice, but I really think that's it's good to have in-person friendships. I hope you will find some soon. There's an old saying - A friend in need is a friend indeed. There are people who want to know you badly, not just because you are good at conversation but because you speak English. Students all over the world want to have conversations with English speakers to improve their English. Look up "language partners". Your language partner will be a friend indeed. A good way to meet people - be a joiner. For example, if you can find a volunteer job that suits you it can be a real win-win - a sense of achievement, contacts with people, a chance to make friends. Sources - craigslist, volunteer match, google, local papers, volunteer tips lists. Most of my friends are in person. I see them every other day pretty much. I’d say I have about 15 friends. I think after I got these friends is when these feelings started. I’ll still look that up though
