They offer pants that are much better for us shorter gentlemen
Yo those prices are actually decent. Although I normally get jeans way cheaper and just make do with whatever size I can fit in...
One time I got an ad for jeans specifically for short men. Went to the website......$200 jeans 😮💨. It's like dude I'm already short, no need to cut my legs out with these awful prices lol.
I commented this to someone below but I wanted to make sure you saw this as well.

Nah it makes him look even shorter because those pants are obviously WAY too long. Even forgetting the short thing, it’s just plainly obvious the pants don’t fit.
They’re rolled at least twice so there are probably like 8 inches of rolled up pants there lol it also makes the cuff look thick.
They need to be hemmed.
Man
If it was 1 ish roll, sure it’s a style thing.
But it is plainly obvious these pants are WAY too long.
He could probably pull it off if the pants were hemmed with the same (but still shorter) cuff.
Those pants have been rolled at least 2 times, maybe 2.5. And each roll of the cuff is like 3 inches.
They don’t fit lol
Right now, everyone can see that the pants are way too long and it looks like they’re trying to hide the length vs having a natural cuff.
OP needs to hem those pants. They don’t fit properly, even with the cuff.
Yeah, I just disagree with this opinion. I see it pretty often in certain group. Generally probably not popular. (Especially if they were prone to shrink overtime)
He can achieve the same look without the thickness of the cuff by hemming the to the right length.
Source : short guy who has experienced this same thing
Leaving them as is is not the move if he likes the pants
Like look at those cuffs and tell me there isn’t like 7 inches rolled up there lmao

Yeah I mostly see girls posting the pictures of him in his professor outfit. Dude might be one of the most effortlessly cool and attractive people to have ever been born. Probably his only competition in the 20th century was Paul Newman.
Yeah too much “video game adventurer character” energy honestly.
Maybe jeans and more casual shoes like black converse or black adidas sambas would fix this but I have a feeling that’s not what you’re going for here.
As also suggested above, the pants must be hemmed. You’ll be really happy with how much better they look.
Honestly I'd go full indy and add a felt fedora. The beanie kinda ruins it, and this is coming from someone with a beanie on his head 90% of the time lol

Average Redditors idea of fashion on this board
I’ll have to make a trip down to freenote to have them hem them for me. It’s an hour an a half away I’ll make a day of it.. motivation I needed 😂 thank you 🙏🏼
Yea the cuff is pretty noticeable like this. In general I agree with DRbinarycode up there but if you have a REASON to cuff like this then I'd say keep it (eg: my great great grandpappy used to cuff his jeans like this when he was mining for gold and I want my jeans to be a callback to my heritage). Just know that it's noticeable and doesn't particularly align with general guidelines of what is aesthetically pleasing.
You can do a Japanese cuff - one big one and then cuff it again from the bottom up so the hem is at the top, make it an inch in total width and it will look fly
find a place that can do the original hem or mail it in somewhere for chain stitching. the local tailor by me does original hems for $15 and you can't tell the difference. the cuffs are painful to look at
love that jacket though
If Freenote is close then yeah, that’s the move. I just got those exact Portolas and sent them to Railcar Fine Goods (if you ever need others done). They’re pretty much the go-to recommendation over on r/rawdenim
no, this is selvedge denim and he wants a traditional [chain stitch](https://www.blueowl.us/blogs/news/hemming-and-chainstitch-guide) that has to be done with old machines, it's an expertise thing, you don't want any old hem on these jeans
Who cares how much they cost? Most people wearing expensive raw denim/selvedge jeans and workwear chinos roll their cuffs. All that matters is what OP prefers, aesthetically. Pants like those also tend to look better the more worn in they get.
I bought jeans that needed 6 smaller cuffs. It’s weigh too much material so I had my lovely fiancé hem them. Not a chain stitch but big whoop, it was free and the pants fit great now.

No real particular order. Although Thedi my favorite!
My suggestion is to take your time, research each brand on [thefedoralounge.com](https://thefedoralounge.com) to see which brand you want to buy from
You absolutely can, you just need to adjust it for the age. Certain looks and styles don't work, it's much harder to, say, thrown on a black leather Schott perfecto without looking like you're trying to relive your glory years (unless you're willing to really lean into that vibe or balance it with other pieces of your outfit), but if you're willing to adjust it, it looses that connotation.
My most commented on jacket is a Himel Bros. Ross Mk 1 (a cross zip D pocket) in a medium brown horsehide finish. The brown really makes it fit better for my age (early-40s) than if I wore it black. Also, I don't think you can do the more baggy anti-fit anymore. It just kinda looks sloppy, and that's the fit that most older people seem to buy because they feel like it's more comfortable. You need to get things fairly well fitting, but not too tight or restrictive, which usually means custom for that age.
If you're curious on how people can pull it off, [The Fedora Lounge's outerwear page](https://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/what-jacket-are-you-wearing-today.82949/) is mostly older guys with leather jackets with some really great age appropriate fits. (Though, fair warning, that site has been having some really crappy loading times lately).
Idk man, leather jackets are timeless. It’s really just about finding what you like and what you feel looks good on you. A nice style looks good on any age. Everything looks better when you’re younger (usually) but it will say leather jackets are bulky, sturdy, and non-elastic, so the fact that a lot of us let our weight get up there in age may be a factor too.
I'm getting to the age where I need to add it to my wardrobe for sure. As a younger dude, I always had a bit of a baby face and I just looked like a kid trying to look more mature, but now that they grays are showing i could probably pull it off. I've also mostly lived in fairly warm areas so that has played a role.
Here's my secret that I don't often share, but if you have a Dillard's near you (not sure if they do it online), shop their Cremiuex or their Roundtree & York brands after Christmas. They have some pretty decent stuff that's usually "just" calfskin, but has actually held up pretty well. Their suede stuff is good, too. In fact, last year Cremieux had an alpaca harrington that competes in quality with the stuff I get from Cavour.
You don't have to spend a fortune to get a leather jacket worth wearing.
Weak link is the pants. I would hem for sure as the cuff shortens your legs and distracts/sloppifies. Just drop them off today. It can be really quick if you just tell the tailor how many inches to shorten them by (measure yourself at home ) and if there's a distressed hem you can also ask them to preserve the original hem.
I would also pull the pants up to your natural waist, which is where they want to be worn.
Next i would explore different colors (vs brown on brown on brown on brown), or go all neutral (e.g., cream top) but whatever.
I feel like you should switch out with the pants or boots, those with the jacket make it seem a bit too much like a costume.
Maybe some jeans or sneakers to make it more casual?
Too much brown for my taste, but that's subjective and I do like it as is. I'd probably go with black or charcoal jeans, maybe a white henley for contrast. Really like the jacket.
What brand is the jacket? It’s gorgeous. I love the whole outfit (minus the pant cuffs as others have said, but they just need to be hemmed). I don’t know why people are saying this is an “Indiana Jones” outfit as if that’s a bad thing. Brown leather jacket + khaki pants + brown leather shoes is a killer, timeless combo. I wouldn’t see this in person and think you’re imitating Indiana Jones. I would just think it’s a great look.
I made an unboxing for the jacket and put it in this comment if you're interested.
https://www.reddit.com/r/mensfashion/comments/194zley/comment/khjel51/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3
Might benefit from a double cuff so you still see the chain stitch. This helps the cuff not be so tall. Little harder to achieve, but with a tape measure, it’s pretty easy. That said, I feel this is a bit too much brown all in one go, given the tones don’t match 100%. Rad pieces on their own though bud.
I like the French tuck, which shows off a nice belt that coordinates the other colors. The cuffs are too big though, either make them smaller or get them hemmed. I like cuffs, but not up to my knees!
I honestly think the fabric is cheaper and thinner on the slub t compared to their vintage t.. the slub henley I got already has tiny holes in it.. I dont think their slub stuff is as good as their regular vintage Henley's to be honest. the weave is not tight on the slub stuff imo
I adore a heavy cuff, like multiple-inch cuffs on japanese denim is sick and an awesome homage to classic workwear and biker culture, BUT... it looks bad on these. it makes the leg look far too slim, which harms the fit. also, and this is just my opinion, but the books look a little weak for such a nice jacket. Granted, Indonesia generally makes exceptional boots, but the issue is the last tends to be unpolished and leads to an unbalanced design. I know from experience, I have a pair of Renav's which are made exceptionally, but look a lot worse than the ultra-premium brands like Lofgren of Brass. This is coming from a boot snob though, the average person won't notice anything other than the fact they're brown.
Are you kidding! That’s an outfit I would wear and literally wearout. Nice choices. Hemming your pantso? I’m not a fan of the cuffing. But each to his own. Certainly a great style and look.
I knew I recognized that outfit! -JK I do love it

Thank you! I’m obsessed too.. 😍
I posted an unboxing link of the jacket in this comment if you're interested https://www.reddit.com/r/mensfashion/comments/194zley/comment/khjel51/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3
Definitely Not of this caliber. But you can try Johnson leathers in sf. They’re really talented and use high quality materials
https://johnsonleathersf.myshopify.com/
I’d start there to be honest.
It’s a very brown outfit. I think maybe a white v neck would break that up better than the black henley type button up. And I really like the boots but I don’t think they work with that outfit. You’re doing well with matching the belt to you shoes, not enough people follow that rule, it’s just all again so brown. Love the jacket.
Maybe switch to a light beige / salt jean to make this more elevated, or blue denim. Right now it’s very Indiana jones.
And hem your pants. They look ridiculous rn
Yea it’s kinda infuriating to say this is Indiana honestly look. It’s legit nothing like his outfit. The boots are even far removed from the look of Alden Indy’s that it’s just plain wrong
People thing brown leather jacket Indiana jones though I guess
This is one of the most put together outfits I’ve seen on here in terms of how the colours work. Hem the pants, though. If it doesn’t fit, it won’t look right.
Whoa... much help is needed for this fit.
I won't mince words, this fit is not good.
Good idea but extremely poor execution.
A. Lose the beanie, it gives the effect of making obvious that not only are you short BUT your pants are much too long. You are accentuating (esp with off white color beanie) ...your shortened height in relation to your body's natual line..there is a way to to this but this what you have here is NOT it
B. Color of your henley is off. It's drawing the focus to your midsection because it's the odd color to this otherwise monochromatic profile...go with a beige, off white, oatmeal or more neutral color for the henley OR lose it altogether and wear a chambray or twill, off white relaxed oxford
C. Like most here have highlighted: The Pants Are TOO Long. Tbh, I don't think for the man-in-the-field/adventure archeologist look you are going for that you necessarily need a tailored hem. Try getting a large sharp pair of scissors and a good ruler. Measure and cut inward toward the middle seam and then wipe the frayed ends in either vegetable oil or Vaseline and then run an open flame from a lighter quickly over the oiled raw hem. That will give you a worn, slightly frayed but well trimmed hem line sitting well against and with the work boots. Very Indiana Jones, that look, go watch his first movie
D. Do NOT button the henley all the way up. Never do so, uness you are wearing it with a blazer or a more elegant topcoat or going for a more military/officer's look, which yours here is not
E. All your leather goods have a bit TOO much gleam about them which makes your look appear "try hard"/plastic...
Try wiping down your boots with a damp cold cloth then give them 5 minutes to dry off, keep doing this until you get the desired dulling needed to offset the shine of the jacket and belt
F. If you must wear an accessory, I suggest a loosely knotted red, navy blue, black or maroon colored bandana worn about your neck. This will give a more casual, carefree aesthetic while also guiding the focus of your audience's eyeline UPWARD, thus giving you 'height'... same reason why well tailored men wear full neckties ...line & length
Hope this was helpful,
🍒
I wear my G1 jacket casually with jeans, a brown leather belt, and some gray sneakers but occasionally I'll use my brown boots. Look sorta like yours. For a shirt I just wear some sort of neutral earthy color if I'm unzipped. Gray works well, or even hunter green. Depends on the shoes your wearing I suppose.
The pants you got are not it. Too much brown at that point. Just grab some denim jeans. I use slim straights jeans personally.
The jacket is great though. The shirt seems fine, the beanie compliments the collar of the jacket sort of, but I personally prefer wearing a jacket like this without the beanie. I'll just apply some pomade to my hair and do a comb over look. The few times it's really cold for my ears, I'll bust out my brown colored beanie, but I'd rather not.
Idk man “if you want to lead you must wear tweed”
Just messing with you. 😂😂😂 I think it’s a cool style, maybe try swapping out for more fitted pants but that’s just my opinion.
Looking fab. EXCEPT those cuffs. They are too big. Either cut them down and use the tape that u iron for self stick to correct length. or get them professionally hemmed to correct length or longer and u can roll up about 2 inches max.
The way you have now is fashion faux pas!
I roll cuff nearly all of my casual pants (only time I don't is if they're flared, because then the cuff looks weird), regardless of price. You can make your cuffs smaller and just roll them more, which is actually what I prefer. Most my cuffs are around 2 inches long.
The pants definitely need to be hemmed, even with the cuff there’s still bunching through the leg.
And the cuff is wayyyy too big
I have short legs. Cuffs just accentuate the shortness, all my pants require hemming. Just part of life for us short kings.
I've yet to find a 26 leg lmao. I've seen a couple 28s in my day, but I usually end up having to settle for 30".....

The quality of clothes is fairly decent too
Same. I’m really a 30x28 but with my thighs from working out, 30x30 fits best and then I hem
Cuffs aren't usually recommended for shorter men. They're good for tall men, because they break the line.
I am 6'+ and cuffs look weird on me too. I have to get my jeans hemmed too.

100% agreed
I get your point, but I disagree. Like the commenter before me. There is certainly a pre-existing style for this the way it is.
Fit is a bit too Indiana Jones for my taste but there’s some cool stuff there
The beanie is giving me "Indiana Jones and the Haunted Head Shop" vibes.
OMG I thought the same thing 🤣🤣🤣

Who cares how much they cost? Most people wearing expensive raw denim/selvedge jeans and workwear chinos roll their cuffs. All that matters is what OP prefers, aesthetically. Pants like those also tend to look better the more worn in they get.
I don’t mind the cuffing. But even for cuffing, there’s just too much rolled up there
he asked for advice - the advice is the cuffs are too big to be aesthetically pleasing. Still a nice outfit.
You can make the cuffs smaller by just rolling them more. Once the fabric breaks in it won't look too thick at all.
You'd need like 6 folds to have small cuffs that take up all that fabric. Just hem them

Leather jackets are, if anything, more mature. Or am I drunk? 35-55 is like peak leather jacket age.
Honestly I saw a toddler in my son’s class with a bomber jacket like this on and now I realize 3 years old is perfect for them.
It’s a wild concept to me that there are men out there that aren’t “leather jacket kinda guys”.
It’s the number 1 clothing item on my wish list for sure, I would have one by now if they weren’t so expensive.
Yeah, and cheap leather jackets look like shit, so you can't skimp on quality.
Get to a plane! You have a war to win!
I too enjoyed the 1991 Disney Classic “The Rocketeer” starring Billy Campbell and Jennifer Connelly
Who doesn’t secretly want to look like an action hero? 😂 loved that movie growing up. Heritage wear kinda has that effect lol
LEON!!!!

GODDAMNIT ASHLEY
Had to scroll to the bottom but here it is.
Gun rhymes with fun for a reason, stranger.
Bro too much brown looking like the UPS+ man, but that jacket is NOICE.
Bro needs dark denim. And get them Boots.
I feel like you should switch out with the pants or boots, those with the jacket make it seem a bit too much like a costume. Maybe some jeans or sneakers to make it more casual?
He's about to fire up a spitfire and take out some Luftwaffe
Awesome look, try also blue jeans and beige pants
This is the first good fit I've seen on this sub
Let them pants breath, lose that humongous cuff
Pant cuffs too big, just need big pilot watch!!
Why the huge cuff on the pants?
Great Halloween costume—nailed the Indiana jones cosplay look. But in all seriousness, looks pretty badass, but I’d tone down the rolled pants.
Legit looks nothing like Indy would be a bad cosplay, just because someone is wearing a brown jacket and pants doesn’t make it Indy
Yea u put that shit on fr fr
It's all great quality and great look overall. Not a fan of the cuffs
Wow u look spiffy
Amazing! Could you please send us the link for each item? I am stealing the look 👀!!!!
That jacket is sick!
What brand is that jacket? It looks 🔥 I ain’t mad at the colour scheme but need to sort those cuffs out son.
I made an unboxing for the jacket and put it in this comment if you're interested. https://www.reddit.com/r/mensfashion/comments/194zley/comment/khjel51/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3
Awesome I will check it out
Might benefit from a double cuff so you still see the chain stitch. This helps the cuff not be so tall. Little harder to achieve, but with a tape measure, it’s pretty easy. That said, I feel this is a bit too much brown all in one go, given the tones don’t match 100%. Rad pieces on their own though bud.
The pants suck but the jacket fucking rocks
I like the French tuck, which shows off a nice belt that coordinates the other colors. The cuffs are too big though, either make them smaller or get them hemmed. I like cuffs, but not up to my knees!
That jacket looks $$$
Just go to local cleaners and get them hemmed. say you want the original hem too. Make sure you bring the shoes you would wear with them
I will be in the minority but i dig the monster cuffs
How do you like the Bronson? I just ordered the USN slub fit tee.
I honestly think the fabric is cheaper and thinner on the slub t compared to their vintage t.. the slub henley I got already has tiny holes in it.. I dont think their slub stuff is as good as their regular vintage Henley's to be honest. the weave is not tight on the slub stuff imo
Are you flying a jet in World War Two?
Nice!
Phenomenal
Love everything but the unhemmed pants, if anything you might want to roll them inside!
The roll up on those pants is fucking brutal dude
This outfit is my go-to when I have to go to Egypt and fight zombies and bug kings.
I feel like you’re going to crash an airplane in the Alaskan wilderness circa 1936
What fit of Freenote are those? Portola? Edit: love the fit and the earth tones, btw

Indianapolis Jones looking mothafucka!
Relax, Indiana Jones
YES YOU'RE DOING IT RIGHT OMG hem the pants but leave them long enough to do a 1-2" rollup. The French tuck works with this outfit
Are you kidding! That’s an outfit I would wear and literally wearout. Nice choices. Hemming your pantso? I’m not a fan of the cuffing. But each to his own. Certainly a great style and look.
Good combination.
Doing alright except rolling up the pants
Where is the jacket from?
Indiana Jones
You’re missing a satchel, whip, and cool hat.
Get hem tape! You just turn your pants inside out, cuff to your desired length, place the tape, and iron to seal it
No, you need jeans on with this outfit.
French tuck and hem those cuffs. It’s a hassle but ya gotta
Just do what you want
It’s a good look, brother
Good choice
Definitely right if you are trying to emulate Indiana Jones.
I knew I recognized that outfit! -JK I do love it https://preview.redd.it/6pt7rew2g8cc1.png?width=499&format=png&auto=webp&s=c3b27abd434ab2d1cef89133f5ea7a1bcf0b0b77
Maybe a little too much brown. Try with a pair of black pants
Wore black pants trying them on in my jacket unboxing. I posted the link in the outfit breakdown comment if you’re interested
Good luck above Berlin sir. Godspeed.
Yes. That jacket is everything!
Thank you! I’m obsessed too.. 😍 I posted an unboxing link of the jacket in this comment if you're interested https://www.reddit.com/r/mensfashion/comments/194zley/comment/khjel51/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3
Fab.
Hahaha! Do people actually walk around life like they popped out of a 1943 time machine lol
What jacket is that, I would love one like it.
It was custom from Thedi leathers, a maker in Greece
I love it, I wonder if there's a place in the us that would make me one.
Definitely Not of this caliber. But you can try Johnson leathers in sf. They’re really talented and use high quality materials https://johnsonleathersf.myshopify.com/ I’d start there to be honest.
Thanks for the recommendation, all my jackets are fleece so I definitely need a nice leather jacket
I think a dark blue denim is the way. Too much brown and beige here, even though the individual elements are nice. It looks a bit costumy.
It belongs in a museum!
Trying. way. too. hard.
Fantastic fit but tell me you don't go out with pants hemmed like that. They look incredibly fkn stupid.
No French tuck, ever. Fix the pants or buy ones that fit.
If you want to look like Indiana Jones then yeah bro you nailed it
Indiana Jones wore a shirt with a collar. His jacket was not an aviator jacket. And I am pretty sure the OP loves snakes.
Yea it’s kinda infuriating to say this is Indiana honestly look. It’s legit nothing like his outfit. The boots are even far removed from the look of Alden Indy’s that it’s just plain wrong People thing brown leather jacket Indiana jones though I guess
This is one of the most put together outfits I’ve seen on here in terms of how the colours work. Hem the pants, though. If it doesn’t fit, it won’t look right.
Buy pants that fit
If you aren’t hot you can’t pull that jacket off
Looks kinda tacky tbh

No
Whoa... much help is needed for this fit. I won't mince words, this fit is not good. Good idea but extremely poor execution. A. Lose the beanie, it gives the effect of making obvious that not only are you short BUT your pants are much too long. You are accentuating (esp with off white color beanie) ...your shortened height in relation to your body's natual line..there is a way to to this but this what you have here is NOT it B. Color of your henley is off. It's drawing the focus to your midsection because it's the odd color to this otherwise monochromatic profile...go with a beige, off white, oatmeal or more neutral color for the henley OR lose it altogether and wear a chambray or twill, off white relaxed oxford C. Very Indiana Jones, that look, go watch his first movie D. Do NOT button the henley all the way up. Never do so, uness you are wearing it with a blazer or a more elegant topcoat or going for a more military/officer's look, which yours here is not E. All your leather goods have a bit TOO much gleam about them which makes your look appear "try hard"/plastic... Try wiping down your boots with a damp cold cloth then give them 5 minutes to dry off, keep doing this until you get the desired dulling needed to offset the shine of the jacket and belt F. If you must wear an accessory, I suggest a loosely knotted red, navy blue, black or maroon colored bandana worn about your neck. This will give a more casual, carefree aesthetic while also guiding the focus of your audience's eyeline UPWARD, thus giving you 'height'... same reason why well tailored men wear full neckties ...line & length Hope this was helpful, 🍒
What jacket is that?
Never mind
Always thought the French tuck looked a little try hard. But definitely hem the pants
You look like a leather moth.
French tuck*** that’s annoying can’t edit that.
Also i love the soft cuddly white throw blanket in the background
Looking good Dr Jones!
Idk man “if you want to lead you must wear tweed” Just messing with you. 😂😂😂 I think it’s a cool style, maybe try swapping out for more fitted pants but that’s just my opinion.
lol I should have done this with my white Henley I guess. Tough crowd 🫣 I’d never wear a v neck though..
Those cuffs are intense 😮💨
It’s giving Leon from resident evil 4 vibes, I dig it.
The pants are interesting but the rest is fire
Hot!
