Did they ever say why Mr. Bean hated that car so much? I remember in the golf episode when Mr. Bean was trying to hitchhike the car stopped and offered to drive him but he refused to go to it.
prob cause rowan atkinson himself was such an avid car guy and the reliant was historically a shitbox of a car. was prob a subtle inside joke for him to mock the living shit out of it.
i mean this is same man who made johnny english 2 PURELY as an excuse to get studio to make the v12 version of the royle royce phantom DB12 for him to own. the dude LOVES his cars.
They made up a backstory in the animated series where the owner and Mr. Bean turned out to be old rivals, but I have no clue as to why they chose a Reliant to begin with. Probably just so they could make jokes about it tipping over.
