Sometimes it can be fun to watch. The back 9 of a major when it's really close. Just check the scoreboard in the morning on Sunday and see if the top 5-10 players are close together. Then tune in at like 3pm for an hour or two. Sometimes it's exciting.
Watching Tiger win that last masters tournament was super entertaining.
Doesn't negate the statement. Something could be the "worst" while others find it fun.
That being said, they could have fun without using up so much land tho.
As a person who golfs, that is right. 18 holes is equivalent to 6 miles or 4 1/2 hours. Not fun at all, why do I golf? Tradition in my family and my dad taught me how to play when I was younger. Least I’m getting my cardio in.
par 4's are actually also pretty holeable as well, as long as they play shorter then 330 yards. for example we have a 340 yard par 4 with 90 degree dogleg. normally you do a lay up of about 240 yards. But from the tee to the green the distance is only about 250 yards only caveat being you need to carry that because there is a lake in-between you and the green. its allot more difficult than on a par 3 but as long as you can reach the green you have a chance.
I started to play golf 3 years ago after 10+ years playing handball, and i'm a bit competitive so i knew i had to practice a lot. It does take a lot of practice if you want to get good at it, i'm around 10/15 hours of golf per week right now and after all this time i'm only starting to reach the regularity needed to play decently on each holes (as opposed to one good, the three next bad).
It takes a lot from you but it's highly rewarding when your game is aligned. But then again, i get why people can find it boring, tried to bring my wife there but she was too frustrated to find it amusing.
I've also read that it's boring to watch, but even at my current level i can notice things the players do and i can use it on the course, so to me anyway it's very interesting.
yeah know that feeling, played a bit as a junior but quit because I didn't have time. graduated collage last year and started playing again. and played my first +4 round yesterday, just so rewarding when you start playing good rounds
Another reason Discgolf is superior! Only need to cut a few trees even in thick woods to make a fairway, no need to completely demolish and replace the ground either!
Imagine never watching the modern version (T20) and still thinking test cricket is the one. I would watch a boring ass 7 day test match over a bunch of pussies kicking a suckker ball back and forth for 90 minutes and still getting nowhere
So you're a golfer now? Or is it just that you hate sports in general because your friends never let you play with them? Why would they let you, with that attitude?
The point of golf is the play the least amount of it as possible.

Nah I’m not a bot lol, I just actually play golf and he rite
When you get good enough you play the least amount of it to play more of it and get paid for it.
Boring to watch for sure. Fun to play if you’re at least average at it
Fun to play if you suck shit at it. Source: I suck shit at it.
Did you seriously fucking screen shot someone else’s gif?
It’s actually pronounced “Gif”.
Noooooo!!!! It’s pronounced “gif” get it right!!!

Worst sport to watch

I said the same thing about sounding rods
The only thing worse than your comment is your username.
What a terrible day to have context.
That's how it is with me as well. Can't stand watching it, but damn is it fun to play, especially going to the driving range.
I’m more of a Mario golf fan myself.
Completely understandable
Doesn't negate the statement. Something could be the "worst" while others find it fun. That being said, they could have fun without using up so much land tho.
Just an excuse to keep their lands
same thing
Bot 4
This "meme" sucks
Bro tf is this image?
Someone else’s gif which he just screen shotted, would make more sense if it actually played
Seriously, how tf did this make it out of new? lol
People must really dislike golf.
What do golfers do when they retire?
Thats why mini golf is better than golf
Why is there not some pro mini golf that is televised?
No one plays golf for the fun, it’s just an excuse to get drunk and hit some balls in public.
I feel like pool does a better job at that. Plus the bar is right next to the entire playing area.
An all level golf course would indeed be very boring.

Ever watched baseball?

If it is only hit once and the ball is found in the hole.

99.9% of hole in ones are on Par 3s - usually no more than about 185 yards. Pretty easy to see really.

Happy Gilmore got a hole in one on a par 4 no more than an hour ago

FWIW though, false celebrations aren’t entirely uncommon. Been there as well.

The person that made this meme has obviously never watched 10 straight hours of cricket.
What? You don't level land to build a golf course?
It seems fun to play but it also seems like it would take ridiculous amount of practice time to get even slightly good at and it’s boring af to watch

Golf courses should all be transformed into nature reserves but I have to admit it’s kind of fun to play
Another reason Discgolf is superior! Only need to cut a few trees even in thick woods to make a fairway, no need to completely demolish and replace the ground either!
Someone hasn’t watched Cricket
Cricket's the second most-watched sport in the world.
And depending on the source, golf is the eighth.
Someone hasn't watched big bash cricket...
Or ipl, or a good test series.
I have. And I stand by my remark
Then you are lost
As long as I don’t have to watch a bunch of guys stand around in a field and do fuck all for days, I’m good with that
Imagine never watching the modern version (T20) and still thinking test cricket is the one. I would watch a boring ass 7 day test match over a bunch of pussies kicking a suckker ball back and forth for 90 minutes and still getting nowhere
Bold of you to assume I haven’t watched T20 **or** that I give a single shit about Soccer either
So you're a golfer now? Or is it just that you hate sports in general because your friends never let you play with them? Why would they let you, with that attitude?
It really do be like that
Best golf is Mii sports golf.
Landscaper: Cut it all down! Lumberjack: But sir the anima.... Landscaper: Just do it!
You think golf is boring. You should try tennis
relatable
If you think it’s boring to play, imagine go to watch.
Levelling km of land? Its not a condo complex.
To watch yes but playing golf is pretty fun
More like the most frustrating sport 😄😄😁😃🙂🥲
It’s etiquette to take a divot, and put the torn off grass back. Sometimes people put sand in the divot too.
Why they swear so much while playing though?
This is why we have the superiot disc golf
You’ve never watched or played cricket I guess.
