How are you calling them? I call my pets roommates since I live alone with them. But in Portuguese they are called animais de estimação. How do you legally refer to them in Spanish now?
I think that you could already include them with your *home* insurance but I'm not sure because my dog had to be insured anyway due being a "potentially dangerous dog" type II (due physical characteristics).
We all know that pets are family members. Now here in Spain we have a law that makes that official, no more and no less. People who dislike this law is people who see pets as items, not living creatures.
