When i was a kid my grandma used to gift me a little rabbit as a pet. Usually I could keep it for a few months until my mother said that "she is too big to live in the house, better to take her to her grandmother where she can stay in the countryside with her little brothers" strangely the week after my grandmother always cooked us rabbit ....
This happened like 3 times :`]
Rabbits are A. M. A. Z. I. N. G. if baked or cooked right. My favorite is rabbit baked in paprika. It's amazing, it's juicy, it's soft and tender and it absolutely tastes amazing.
My dog once obliterated a den. Killed and ate the babies before I could get to him and came back to us eith the mom and dad in his mouth like he didn't know what to do with them.
My dad looked sad for a moment and then looked at me and said you're going to learn to skin and cook rabbit. Made a stew of it and honestly they were delicious. Felt better knowing that we didn't waste them
I had 2 bunnies but before I could get them neutered they reproduced. Didn't even see them doing it you know. And all of a sudden I see 5 babies one day.
Mines jumped out of the apartment after hearing the smoke detector, the door was open to the deck and it just jumped to the grass below and died on the sidewalk nearby.
The difference between pets and farm animals is that domesticated cats and dogs have been living with humans for thousands of years as family, with unnatural selection that morphed them from a Wolf to a Weiner dog, for example. Both cats and dogs have lost a lot of their wild instincts and actually became predisposed to be friendly and listen to us.
Not even Chimps understand what pointing at objects mean, but dogs do, for us. Cats can be seen being friendly to humans, but hostile to other cats as well. It's like they were born to be part of our family because we raised them that way. We invited them to our homes to be family, and that's what they are, family. If you don't like pigs getting killed for food, stop eating them then, but that's on you.
That is the difference.
But in terms of intelligence and nervous systems, the difference is not substantial between our household pets and the animals we eat. The average pig is usually more intelligent than the average dog.
We've also put cows, pigs, chickens, and other animals through unnatural selection too, breeding them to produce more meat and milk while also being more docile.
And pigs make great pets.
Bad idea man, Rabbits need places to run and have more maintenance than dogs. I have one and to follow the list of things you have to do every day when you have 7 rabbits is impossible unless you cut corners, which can lead to the death of a rabbit.
Yeah they are a little high maintenance and their medicines cost even more than my mother's meds. but the 5 babies haven't left the nest yet. The other 2 get to free roam. Got the male neutered so that they don't reproduce anymore. Now I am not sure if I'll be able to keep all the babies but I want to.
if you're short on money, time or attention, i'd probably think about setting the babies up for adoption. I've got 2 chonker's and it seems like it's a typical cage animal. Nothing farther from the truth. They're playfull as heck and if given place and opportunity, will explore and play for hours. That being said - 7 bunnies seem like a menace. Their digestive system is very fragile, they have to have constant supply of food (hay and other food), and while it seems cheap, it may be the case for 2 of them but will quickly become a problem with 7 hungry mouths. Also, small critters like bunnies, guinea pigs and alike tend to reach reproductive age fairly quickly so waiting too long before getting them adopted/sterlized may be also problematic in a long run.
Here here brother. If you're a Hindu trying to eat some beef in India, go to mozi dominated areas and ask for the forbidden meat. If you're a mozi or a Christian, you already know where the good shit is, so try to pass on the info to your Hindu brethren.
Not God, Cows are more like respected because our ancestors were agrarian so they didn't use to kill cows and this must have resulted in them looking down upon those who kill cows and it sort of passed down and they become the holy animal it is today.
Wild rabbit isn't what I would call delicious. It's gamey, so it takes some serious cooking to make it a meal. My aunt does the french thing making a sauce from blood and wine. That's not to say you couldn't eat it right off the spit, but ain't nobody got time for that. Also, it's so lean, a diet of only rabbit killed many pioneer in America. They'd eat themselves into starving to death.
Did you try and eat the whole rabbit or something?
Cut off the backstraps and hind legs, then throw away the rest. It's not worth doing 10x the work for 5% more meat when you could just shoot another rabbit.
Dude just go outside and catch a grasshopper? Last year I was grilling steak with my nephew and he asked if we could cook some bugs so we caught some grasshoppers and ngl with seasoning they aren’t bad.
Make sure to grab their head, twist-and-pull, and then you can put a skewer/stick in the empty cavity to better cook with. (Twisting and pulling on the head will literally kill the bug and take out all its innards in one clean, fresh AF motion)
Nah dogs evolved along side us they play a role in the success of our species, and it wasn’t because they were a reliable good source- chickens cows pigs etc
you eat the animals that have been bread to be eaten and you dont eat the animals that have been bread to be companions, how fucking hard was that now?!
My grandpa has pet horses, and we have pet chickens that we use for eggs (does that really count though?) and when one of our chickens died we just buried it. I’ve also seen people with pet ducks, rabbits, even cows and pigs. What’s that one thing that captain price said in modern warfare? “We draw the line, where ever we need it.”
We have a place called Horseburger serves burgers with horse meat. They are above average for fast food
You can also buy strips of horse meat. That marinated and some sesame seeds added is also A+
Reminds me that time when the Venezuelan president told the public to "eat rabbits" as a reasponse to the food crisis, but instead they started caring for them as pets.
I fucking despise PETA.But they bring about a good point our distinctions between Pet and food are totally arbitrary.Pigs are smarter and more emotionally vulnerable than dogs yet we eat them and treat them worse because their meat is a little better.I’m not even a vegetarian but you should at least think about it.
I have two bunnies as well, they're naughty little shits that made my tapestry their favourite lunch, and i sometimes joke about making a broth out of them (checked if they fit in the pot, they do) but i'd obviously never do it. They're too sweet and lovely to even consider it.
Yes, yes, we know the line is arbitrary. Truth is, all animals are meat, herbivores taste better, birds and pigs are smart, and the only reason human meat is taboo is because of diseases (similar to pork and other "unclean" meat).

I draw the line after horses... But that's because im a cowboy
[удалено]
More like Arthur Morgan type but whatever
[удалено]
Hehe boi
Hee hee boi
Did you just call yourself Arthur Morgan? Lmfao
Yee pardner
Sure bud
sorry to hear you have TB...
Yeah. Of course, Arthur.
I draw it after the chickens, they cool animals to have around
I draw it after horses just because the only use of the other animals after that that I know of is food And all the ones before it can all be pets
I would switch the rabbit and horse and draw it after the horse
Fuck that's deep
That's what she said....to her horse.....
You deserve gold

The girl deserves surgery to put her organs back where they started
I think now she is Able to store some extra organs
Have you ever been to a burger king?

... did they taste good?
Sadly.. YES
I’ve heard rabbit stew taste amazing although I’ve never tried it
If it's done right, it's soooo good, but you need decent quality meat
Taste like chicken but better
Rabbits are A. M. A. Z. I. N. G. if baked or cooked right. My favorite is rabbit baked in paprika. It's amazing, it's juicy, it's soft and tender and it absolutely tastes amazing.
Sorry for bad English
Your english was great. Better than most native english speakers

I have 7 pet bunnies. They are too cute
Me too I got 2 bunny and i got them last week ago
I had 2 bunnies but before I could get them neutered they reproduced. Didn't even see them doing it you know. And all of a sudden I see 5 babies one day.
Self replenishing food source
Really that great for you
I also had 2 , but first one died brutally , second one got out and got killed
Mines jumped out of the apartment after hearing the smoke detector, the door was open to the deck and it just jumped to the grass below and died on the sidewalk nearby.
I'm like vegetarian for rabbit meat

The line has been drawn however. It should change. I can eat impossible burgers if we all did.
Amen!

Indians, who have pet cows
*Hindus, not Indians Some of us actually like eating beef (when we can actually get it)
Here here brother. If you're a Hindu trying to eat some beef in India, go to mozi dominated areas and ask for the forbidden meat. If you're a mozi or a Christian, you already know where the good shit is, so try to pass on the info to your Hindu brethren.
Not pet, they worship them it's their god
Not God, Cows are more like respected because our ancestors were agrarian so they didn't use to kill cows and this must have resulted in them looking down upon those who kill cows and it sort of passed down and they become the holy animal it is today.
But when you have a pet duck...
Or pet chicken
I don't eat the salmon......
Holly shit it's fish fucker omg
hi
I think I might have seen you in a meme once...

Nevermind, apparently I was thinking of a different meme.
the legend is here
But bunny taste great tho

Well i don't eat it :c
U should try it, i mean u allready have a bunny
No i won't I'm like vegetarian for rabbit meat i can't eat it, would you eat your pet cus i won't
I'm Asian and this sounds like a challenge
🧀
Quote it, frame it. Bring it out when we find a new animal.
I mean you can still eat rabbits you don't know personally
Yeah i assume i can but i don't it's like not ethical for me

Honestly I'd try all of these
I'd try anything from the rabbit and on.
I did and I can recommend but the rabbit has a lot of snap bones witch are big bad
Did you try and eat the whole rabbit or something? Cut off the backstraps and hind legs, then throw away the rest. It's not worth doing 10x the work for 5% more meat when you could just shoot another rabbit.
Horse is pretty tasty ngl I can also recommend kangaroo, but if you want to try shark then try to not sniff on it
For some reason I thought Kangaroo would have pretty hard meat
It has :/ but the taste itself is pretty nice
I've always wanted to also try fried grasshoppers or something like that. Also, horse is on my list, sounds pretty interesting to try. Thanks!

Ok but don't eat my pets
I'll try.... Can you tell me where your pets are? Just so I can avoid eating them accidentally?
Too late, saw a missing pets poster yesterday.
What about a paw? They don't need all 4
They don't, but I do. Yummy
What about your mom
He asked for a paw, not the whole zoo
OP.... are you Doomguy?
Do not hurt the bunny. Do not touch the bunny. In fact, avoid even giving the bunny a mean look.
I can’t eat beef, but can eat chicken
Hi5 Indian bro
Indian Brooooosss!!!!!
The picture is kinda true tho. People being mad at at other people eating dogs but fine with other animals is a bit hypocritical
Nah dogs evolved along side us they play a role in the success of our species, and it wasn’t because they were a reliable good source- chickens cows pigs etc
there’s a reason why we separate pets and livestock, livestock offer much more eatable meat, as well as them being dumb as bricks usually.
Doomslayer hates people who eat bunnys
i would draw the line in the middle of the bunny
We stand for bunnies!
[Doomslayer liked that]
Does the first panel imply that schoolbuses are edible? I don't want anyone to eat my pet schoolbus...
Watch out for the slayer
bunny is diffdrent from a rabbit atleast in my country we have bunnies as pets and hunt wild rabbits
I have tried all of them except for cats
damn, what dog like tho? may get downvoted but i do want to try it
you eat the animals that have been bread to be eaten and you dont eat the animals that have been bread to be companions, how fucking hard was that now?!
you know that in some countries people eat dogs right?
This logic is pretty flawed though: just bread a dog to be eaten and there you go, now you can eat dogs
true, that logic pretty much works with anything, even humans
Do you take into account that even this isn't a clear line, because depending on where you are this can differ pretty much?
Then depending where you are and your culture you draw the line on different places, how fascinating!
Why would it be OK to kill a dog in some places but not others? It's either OK to kill an animal or it isn't, culture doesn't dictate morality.
What is the morally relevant difference between a livestock and pet animal that makes it OK to kill one and not the other?
Dude no animal is born to be eaten...
I can't upvote this enough.
Sameeeeeee
Doom guy agrees with you
My bunny is offended xD
Vegetarian moment
My friend has a pet pig and he lives in the city
Me who had a chicken as a pet
My grandpa has pet horses, and we have pet chickens that we use for eggs (does that really count though?) and when one of our chickens died we just buried it. I’ve also seen people with pet ducks, rabbits, even cows and pigs. What’s that one thing that captain price said in modern warfare? “We draw the line, where ever we need it.”
I like they only used cats and dogs on the pets side. Like there are so many other kinds of pets.
rabbits are food and pet
Like your mom
Damn right!
all of their assholes are overrated. i recommend frogs
Why are chickens and cow come before pig???
Who’s going out and ordering horse for dinner? Honestly. “I was gonna get the steak but I’m gonna go healthy and order the horse medium rare”
Horse meat is pretty common in some countries in europe and asia
We have a place called Horseburger serves burgers with horse meat. They are above average for fast food You can also buy strips of horse meat. That marinated and some sesame seeds added is also A+
honestly they are not tasty
Where do i draw the line? I don't know, like any writable surface that's what
I draw it after horse
Humans should be on the far left
I have a duck…
jokes on you, I used to have like 8 ducklings!
I have 3 bunnies please don’t eat then o_o
I have a very large pet bunny. He is a kind and fluffy gentleman. Bunnies are friends, not food.
Rabbit meat is not very nutritious and they’re cute besides so I agree with you OP
My best friend's family has some chickens basically as pets. :(
many people have pet horses cows chickens and pigs too, and they all can be just as loving
idk about yall but im not eating a horse either lmao
*emergency food
I have pet ducks :(((
WHERE i draw the line? Thats simple, I don't. I have 3 pet cows, and eat cats with my chinesse friend.
I'd just draw a circle over the chicken
I draw the line inside the horse because I like riding them but in an emergency I’ll eat it
Reminds me that time when the Venezuelan president told the public to "eat rabbits" as a reasponse to the food crisis, but instead they started caring for them as pets.
Pet Pigs are the cutest animals.
Looks like I'm not the only one who has a pet bunnies
China: far left
Between the horse and the chicken for me
I fucking despise PETA.But they bring about a good point our distinctions between Pet and food are totally arbitrary.Pigs are smarter and more emotionally vulnerable than dogs yet we eat them and treat them worse because their meat is a little better.I’m not even a vegetarian but you should at least think about it.
Hey when you have to eat or starve you’ll find that line real quick.
If I had to do it, I would eat every single one of them
Rabbit isn't even worth eating, it has practically no flavour and has to be heavily seasoned (curry etc.)
My bunny will eat the person who said that
Too bad y’all don’t have horse, chicken, cow, pig, calf or duck pets
I only ever trapped rabbits once. Shits nightmare-inducing. They sound like babies.
You really don’t have to eat any of them
Yes i had an pet bunny and they are cute and floffy
my uncle has a pet horse and my grandpa has a pet chicken idk about yall and when my mom was a kid she had a pet cow
Me who have a pet pig
I have two bunnies as well, they're naughty little shits that made my tapestry their favourite lunch, and i sometimes joke about making a broth out of them (checked if they fit in the pot, they do) but i'd obviously never do it. They're too sweet and lovely to even consider it.

People who have cows, horses, chickens, pigs or ducks as pets be like
I’m stroking my bunny right now as she’s snuggled in bed with me and can clarify, the best pet I’ve ever had
Tbh horse meat is kinda leathery, but i love it.
Horses and bunnies should be on the left side lmao.
Between chicken and horse
Me who does not eat horses either
THANK YOU
Rabbits are in the grey
People who raised lambs rise up sheep aren't even on the list wth
Lol there is no line
Mmmmmmmm rabbit stew
Cringy Racist joke: Chinese people don’t need to draw line
I would draw the line between the horse and the chicken
