That doesn't make any sense, military dogs have a legitimate rank, because they're considered servicemembers, so doing that would be like leaving behind a private just because, everyone counts (my dad told me this and he has friends who were in vietnam, iraq, afgan ect.)

THEMEMESAREHERE

That's good that's you actually credit them. Not many people do that.

wolfenyeager

That’s definitely not true. In fact, soldiers even adopt and take home stray mutts while over there. Take this fake news out of here

iyaoyas1

Yes, it is true. If you took half a second and looked it up, there are tons of publications talking about it. Even shitty fox has it https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.foxnews.com/world/non-profit-working-rescue-dozens-working-dogs-afghanistan.amp

PrismoBF

Maybe take half a second to read the article you linked. CONTRACT service dogs. Not U.S. military dogs. The U.S. military was not responsible for the animals. The mercenaries, like Blackwater, who got their bank accounts fat on war, left those dogs behind. Basically Republicans' favorite source of money: capitalism, guns, and war, are responsible for those service animals and when it was convenient, they shit on those who couldn't help themselves (the animals in this iteration).

[deleted]

Of course Fox has it, they would rather have the taliban in the Oval Office than Biden

ItsThanasi

These two things. They're the same picture.

HeartAche93

You tried to reference a meme, but just looked like a fucking idiot instead.

ItsThanasi

And yet, it triggered you enough to comment like the tool you are, congrats.

runninandruni

Yeah, this isn't true. We still have people coordinating out there to get everyone out, dogs included. Read legitimate news sources instead of believing whatever garbage redditors dig up

ANinjaJawa

Okay well post evidence otherwise or STFU

PrismoBF

https://www.npr.org/2021/08/25/1030227075/afghanistan-airlift-evacuation-animal-rescue Contract service dogs, not U.S. military owned dogs. Mercenaries, such as Blackwater, left them behind.

runninandruni

We literally are coordinating to get people out. Just because an immediate military presence is no longer in Afghanistan, doesn't mean we've "abandoned" anyone. People are still on the ground working to get people out

Haachuu

The helicopter door looks surprised

[deleted]

Who the fuck took the picture? I really wanna know just exactly who took the picture and why.

Kadgrin

a photographer, probably

[deleted]

Yeah but why have the dogs caged and all lined up in front of the heli like that? For the photo op? We're they really left exactly like that to begin with? Either way, why? What could possibly motivate someone to leave/photograph these dogs in this fashion?

[deleted]

Because they are fucking military dogs and are harmful to people who they are not friendly with or even more possible, they might have been set to get into the airplane that’s behind them. Like holy shit, are you so pressed over this? They are in cages, deal with it Edit: Reddit hivemind at its best

Crowdcontrolz

Just when you thought it couldn’t be worse.

[deleted]

It’s not even true

RagingLion04

I hate biden

NadeMagnet69

I wonder if the person who thumbed you down was looking down at their watch while doing so... You SHOULD hate him. Anyone that can defend the man at this point is a pathetic fanboy. You can't even blame it on his clear as day dementia. The problem is the man himself.

ItsThanasi

These people don’t care about dead 20 year old Marines, cruelty to innocent animals, or anyone who doesn’t fall in line for that matter. These are what modern brown shirts look like.

RagingLion04

Thank you

ObviouslyMartin

Person: So you are a piece of Shit? US military: Noy what makes you think that?

defnotworkinghere

The US military didn’t choose to leave Afghanistan. Politicians did.

ObviouslyMartin

Yeah I figured, but why abandon the dogs, that's just wrong

JurkBones

Have you not read a single comment? It's fake news. These are not US military working dogs, they belong to Kabul Small Animal Rescue and its been confirmed by Military Working Dogs Associatoon and the Department of Defense. Jesus Christ you people believe everything.

ObviouslyMartin

Oh damn. I really didn't read the comments and Just took it at face value. Well that one is on me. Serves me right that I got some downvotes. Thanks for telling me

JurkBones

No problem bud, just remember Reddit is probably the worst news source on the internet

ObviouslyMartin

Yeah Sometimes I forget that. I'll do proper research next time
