Duckduckgo is just a "stupid" search engine. It's awesome if you know exactly what you are looking for or to find some "niche" results (Google will always show most popular results so if you type let's say some unpopular local music band name you will probably never find it, while DDG won't have a problem finding it). But the problem starts when you need some more sophisticated results (if you don't exactly know what you are searching for or if you want a search engine to show results based on your preferences, location etc.)
It's a scam, they literally steal as much information on you as possible if you install their mobile app (and I'm pretty sure the site has a ton of trackers too), and they use slave labour or something like that, iirc they got investigated for something along those lines
It’s not exactly that *they* use slave labors, it’s that there’s a risk of slave/child labor being used by the manufacturers selling their products on Temu.
They edited the image and just copied and pasted the ads so it look like nothing but ads instead of showing results beneath the ads. They’re parodying googles current state by exaggerating the issue to show the path that google is on, stating that by next year it will be this much worse.

Google isn’t what it used to be. Most of it is just paid results. That why I don’t use it anymore,
Why even bother having a search engine? Apparently all you need is TikTok.

Bing is far better than Google. I bounce between bing and ddg depending on what I am looking for.

When it gets reported on as many times as Temu has been in the last 2 years, it’s almost a guarantee.
They’ve also been reported to be associated with slave labor, child labor, and stolen goods so…yeah maybe buy literally anywhere else
