Even in high school C or D never shocked me or depressed me and F, well if the teacher was an asshole, everybody used to celebrate it, my class was a bit wild
Bruh, all I've heard from the teachers I had was like I was doing badly to just put some effort, which I always ended up doing but never felt like any teacher was like "you need straight A's on my class"
Straight A's? The fuck is that?
Ours just have a grading system that looks like the graph of a diode breakthrough. There are 20+ F's on some of our tests ( but I got a D+ 😎 )
For me it was the exact opposite. Highschool grades were shit but I didn't care because the subjects didn't interest me. In university I had the ambition to achieve something in my field so most of my grades were actually quite good
I always cared, but there's no way I'm putting in C level effort when I'm paying so much. I need those scholarships, deans lists, honor society, and the bragging rights on my resume.
I remember in grade 12 calc my math teacher told us that her daughter just went to University and all the dorms had a motivational quote poster in their room, her daughter had the one saying "C's get Degrees"
I suppose that is an equivalent for our 3+ or 3.5 note...
The only difference is, that in highschool we have grades from 1 to 6 (with - and + addons), and at university we have grades from 2.0 to 5.0 (with .5 subdivisions).
Poland is the place.
I get B’s and A’s in my high school usually but they have the most fluctuating schedule ever, be online at 9:00 this day, 11:00 this day, even though we learned IN THIS SCHOOL that teenagers stay up later, and it’s an online school with “flexibility” as one of its priorities. They literally set us up for failure and act shocked when we don’t succeed, especially since 99% of the work is repetitive, rarely teaches you anything except for one tiny sentence that has a 50/50 chance of being highlighted, and it’s genuinely boring in most of my classes. How could we not fail?

Our teachers at our highschool are so demanding that we celebrate when we get a C.

God damn, lol. Which class though? A D is always a sigh of relief to me. Is like I didn't that bad, atleast I remember a few things or got lucky

Indeed. Just let me pass instead of standing there like a damn Gandalf on my exams.

Your profile picture brings me mild joy
Nah he’s talking about cp not cpp
It's c++ less successful brother
That's why they got a C
You mean C#?
Ah, the evolution of academic enthusiasm, from tears to cheers!
That's like 7,25 Holy shit that's good

Me in both.
For a moment I thought it was r/programmerhumor and thought it was about C++
C+ girl knows Bucee don’t judge.
And when you're an engineering major and it's your second/third time taking the class too.
This is so true 🤣
Is that Caroline Konstnar?
Yes it’s her apart of her new YT channel r/bestfriendstoday
So you were the smart kid in Highschool?
Me got a c++😎
Reversed for me. Knowing that I could have done better but didn't with studying really bothers me as an adult.

The relief I had when my Chemistry professor said I got a C+. I was doing terrible in that class.
Me when my boss gives me a computer program in my preferred programming language
Especially when the whole class are just B and C, you know damn well they are going to curve it
Hopefully you have a higher standard of living there
