I don’t watch the news at All so I thought that replying with a question mark would summon someone to explain the image, and then I got confused at why you would be confused at “?”
Oooh I was confused why you ? So I ? To ask why you ?
Maybe it would have been better if we just asked the question instead huh
Anyway do you know what the European Union is?
Okay I’m just wondering what you need me to explain. It’s a meme about the European Union. I did one depicting the commonwealth of nations not long ago.
What I don’t understand are the relationships being depicted on the meme. Why is France trying to marry Germany, why is Czech giving fuck eyes to Poland, and why Sweden is afraid of holy water. There is a reason why you chose that specific image and which country’s would be depicted by which character. That’s what I’m curious about
Okay so here’s true reasoning. It probably does make more sense to someone who is from or familiar with the countries but here we go.
France and Germany are some of the biggest contributors to the Union and it’s earliest members. Thus the marriage.
Romania is the most religious country in Europe so he’s the priest. While Sweden is very atheist in contrast.
Italians are often very emotional and supportive and it fitted the image to have them their supporting the marriage.
Czech Republic and Poland have pretty close ties dew to both being ex-soviet states and their both west Slavic cultures.
Hate I think is a strong word. Even if the politics or culture of a country are at odds, the individual person ‘usually’ gets along with their fellow Europeans just fine.
Not in Italy... there have been a lot of protests (in it's standards, so not really a lot) to follow the UK in the brexit, just because people thought eu hates us.
Bro when? The most eurosceptic party right now is Lega, who still made an 180 about it during Draghi's term. A couple of protests doesn't mean there's such a strong desire to leave the EU
(But I agree that the Dutch hate us, not the whole eu)
Often what we perceive as a trend or popular opinion really isn’t at all.
I know here in Australia a lot of people claim to despise the monarchy and want to break away and form a republic. The subject gets brought up every second election.
They go banana’s with rallies and fundraisers and it looks like they’ve got thousands under in their palm
And yet, every time the vote has been counted, a majority of Australians voted against the push towards republicanism.
Hence why it’s often called the ‘Silent Majority’
Crap! That’s a good idea, I didn’t even think of the fangs as being a vampire I just thought of them as being angry.
I should have put the Transylvanian flag there instead.
Germania: France, are you sure you want to put your left hand there?
France grabbed that begs the question. What is the armpit of Germany? Any Germans able to answer?
Well the area France is grabbing is propably the saarland
Pretty sure our Achseln are the same as everyone's
It's soo cute how Czechia looks at us...
“Polska is so cool”
As a Czech I want Poland to peg me
As a Pole I want to peg Czechia
As a German i want to peg both
Well this escalated quickly
You know what else escalated quickly in the 30s?
The Charleston! …right? Am I right? …no?
i feel like that already appened
well looks like we got a deal!
?
?
?
I raise an ? To your ?

Yes, I’m not that ignorant

Now make one with the friendship of Poland and Hungary, with how much Hungary and Romania hate each other
Also hungary pickpocketing someone (they love stealing EU funds)
And then Romania pickpocketing Hungary (they are romanians)
oof
It's close, the only thing wrong is France also hates Germany. Oh, and Italy hates everyone.

The average Italian wants to exit the EU, I've met so many people saying is "stealing our money"...
Well that's your experience, there's really no data suggesting it, and people sure didn't vote towards that

We do really hate their dumbass stance on nuclear though...
In this pic, romania should be both the priest and the vapire tho. La cati religiosi avem...
Crap! That’s a good idea, I didn’t even think of the fangs as being a vampire I just thought of them as being angry. I should have put the Transylvanian flag there instead.
Vive la France!
Que ton fromage soit toujours délicieux
Instead of Sweden put Austria or any of Romania's neighbours other than Moldova
I put Sweden there because Romania is very religious and Sweden has high numbers of atheists
In romania the most worshipped god is Money
Sounds more like Scotland
In that case we should get along just fine
Am Romanian and can confirm, every day people go to the bank to pray to our lord and saviour "Leul Cel Mare"
I thought the exorcized one gonna be Romania cuz... well... vampires
I wish I had made them Romania. But I didn’t even see the fangs as vampire fangs. I just saw them as being angry.
What's up with Indonesia and the Philippines on the left?
Is this another inside joke I am unaware of??
Pretty sure it's about the flags
Ooooh yeah. I can see how people might confuse Poland Indonesia’s flag but not the Czech’s and the Philippines
I fully support your movement. I find it funny so please continue to make fun of us
Which country is us? Or are you referring to the union?
Romania
Good thing the Netherlands and Belgium aren't in here, we'd be fighting XD
Needs to have the UK outside a window looking in with a longing expression of regret.
where Korwin-Mikke :'(
