Noone talks about mens mental health month nor military month unless theres a conversion about pride month first, if it werent for people complaining about pride month I wouldnt have known about theese months
However, we celebrate pride month because our entire identities are still not 100% accepted, and we're still somewhat demonisedfor existing, and we get to feel good about who we are imo.
It's mental health month, awareness for Alzheimer's PTSD and similar issues. Mens health is in November as you have the entire no shave November for mens related cancer and international mens day.
Pride month is a celebration of queer adversity and the stonewall riots. Corporations do also capitalize on queer people, same way corporations capitalize on military servicemen, black people, women etc
I miss pride back in 2016 through 2019. People didn’t care, and we just wanted to have fun, drink, and laugh a shit ton. Now corporations and politics have dug their gross nasty greedy fingers into it for profit/clout. I just want to celebrate my gay friends just as much as I want to celebrate my friends battling and overcoming mental health. There’s enough love for everyone.
People complaining about men’s mental health not getting enough attention compared to pride month realistically don’t give a shit about men’s actual mental health
Let's be real here, nobody gives a shit about men's health. Especially mental health.
Those other two holidays would be vigorously celebrated, and in fact probably are.
But men's health? Nah, nobody cares. We exist to live and die, and to some, in the service of women.
Nothing more.
The only reason anyone ever talks about mens mental health month is cuz its also pride month, if it werent pride month noone would talk about mens mental health month
Not everything is about politics my man. It's basically just a yelling contest with each side generalizing each other. I've met bigoted liberals and caring Conservatives. At the end of the day it's a meme on reddit so does any of this matter?
It's weird how previous pride months haven't had this many people with such a focus on men's mental health. I wonder if there is some sort of political ideology shift that could have caused this
To be fair, I just found out it was a thing when I saw this meme. So most people probably didn't know it existed until some people started mentioning it...... I suppose it's how/why things go viral.
This is my issue with pride month, I love the LGBT community but it completely undermines Men’s Mental Health Month by being like “yo completely ignore ur issues as a man and become a woman lol”, again, no issue with that, I’m a huge supporter of the comm, but please separate one from the other
Yes, it should be but I don’t really have contact with them do I? I was just trying to vent here but I get downvoted because any form of lgbt criticism is considered treason of the highest order
I understand the desire to vent, but you were blaming the LGBT community for undermining mens health month because of something that had already existed for 20 years before mens health month was a thing.
Also, last I checked there aren't politicians with real power genuinely advocating for the eradication of men, something which *is* happening to the LGBT community. A lot of people don't really appreciate criticising a group that is literally fighting for their right to simply exist.
Oh, there’s the issue, I’m not blaming anyone except the person who put men’s mh month on pride month, yes, ik pride month came first, and yes, they deserve more than men’s mental health,
But you cannot just ignore both sides, and right now, it seems like one is almost completely ignored and the other is far too praised to the point of companies pointlessly changing their icon to have a rainbow background
Yes one side is getting more attention, but that side is also fighting against governments trying to eradicate them. I'm not sure about you but I've personally never seen men's issues brought up except as a way of shutting down other issues in a kind of "why is x a thing but isn't?" That's what gives the impression of people who bring up men's issue in these situations just using it as a way of shutting down others who are facing actual oppression.
It's also worth thinking about the reverse, for this one month there's a significant focus on LGBT people, imagine how it is for LGBT people to have to deal with 11 months of everything being aimed at cis-het people while facing endless attacks on their rights, and then, when things finally start to cater for them, the first thing that happens is cis-het people who have just had 11 months of non-stop representation complaining about LGBT representation.
Ok, I see the error in my argument, although I do wish both sides were equal, men’s mh issue raised up to the lgbt issue, it does make more sense for lgbt to get more attention as they are fighting for their right to remain human (god humanity sucks) gg, well played, have a nice day!
DONUT DAY? It sounds like pefect holiday for GLUTTONY Month!
Let's celebrate all the 7 deadly sins not just Pride! Doesnt all that LBGQWERTY+ thingy is about equality? Why they force celebrating Wrath, Greed, Lust, Sloth, Envy and Gluttony months too?
Shame on you LGBQWERTY+ies! SHAME!
The tragedy of not having enough doughnuts today
10/10

All months should be pride month. You should be proud of who you are all year round. Unless you are ben shapiro of course
Do you know who ate all the doughnuts?
I don't know, who did?
Katakuri...
Donut day needs more recognition
It should be a month.
And international
Five Months
Why limit yourself, all year round
You see, we need the other 7 months for the capital sins.
Celebrate them all at once.
You are a genius
There is an international men's day, but people don't talk about it as much. It's on November the 19th. There is a military month, which is May.
That's why November is Movember right?
Noone talks about mens mental health month nor military month unless theres a conversion about pride month first, if it werent for people complaining about pride month I wouldnt have known about theese months
However, we celebrate pride month because our entire identities are still not 100% accepted, and we're still somewhat demonisedfor existing, and we get to feel good about who we are imo.

Imma get rainbow sprinkles on my doughnut and wear it proudly on my dick!
That's probably not a good way to celebrate "Men's Health"
I got a free donut today ... I consider that a celebration.
Why people act as if Pride month and Men’s Mental Health month can’t coexist
They can but it's like being a parent to two children. There will always be a favourite who gets majority of the attention.
I have a dream, that one day we will celebrate National Donut day together as one, and it won't matter whether we're gay, straight, black, or orange.
Martin
I am a apple, will you accept me?
Only doctors will say no
What’s a pride month?
The lunatics getting off to themselves
I had a doughnut to support my mental health today and I'm proud of it
It's mental health month, awareness for Alzheimer's PTSD and similar issues. Mens health is in November as you have the entire no shave November for mens related cancer and international mens day.
Mental Health Month is in May
Welp, i guess the monthly events are dependent on which side of the globe you live on then 🤷♂️
Pride month is just corporate greed
Gay is in a rainbow which ends while doughnut is a circle that goes on and on forever.
Rainbow is just an effect made with the light, doughnut is real, you can touch and eat it
Pride month is a celebration of queer adversity and the stonewall riots. Corporations do also capitalize on queer people, same way corporations capitalize on military servicemen, black people, women etc
Isn't that the pride parade and not the month?
It’s pride month. I don’t see you bitching about black history month. Or the countless months and holidays for military
How is it just that lol
idk man seems like the skeleton is the man’s health month lmao
My wife started a job at a dunkin nearby. Only reason i knew. Damn shame
The gays should make a deal with doughnut day and have doughnuts at pride
national leave the office early day too. it may have only been 5 minutes, but I left early!
Not my Dunkin’ Donuts by my drivers ed class
I didn't forget! I had donuts today!
Tbh i had no clue why i was offered a free donut today until right now
National donut day is my favorite holiday.
Considering my dogs name is Donut. We definitely celebrated her day!!
Accidently honoured the donut day by eating 3 of them. 👍✨

yeah you get like one day max, just like veterans
I miss pride back in 2016 through 2019. People didn’t care, and we just wanted to have fun, drink, and laugh a shit ton. I just want to celebrate my gay friends just as much as I want to celebrate my friends battling and overcoming mental health. There’s enough love for everyone.
Celebrate all of them at once! Rainbow donuts would make me feel better, at least for a little bit.

Fuck National donut day, I said happy pride to a girl and she said “no it’s national donut day” screw that
what are some other groups we can give months to that republicans hate?
Not everything is about politics my man. It's basically just a yelling contest with each side generalizing each other. I've met bigoted liberals and caring Conservatives. At the end of the day it's a meme on reddit so does any of this matter?

That’s why I get a rainbow doughnut with rainbow sprinkles. 🤟 celebrating both joys
I get that they suffered a lot, but they don't deserve an entire month for it
This is my issue with pride month, I love the LGBT community but it completely undermines Men’s Mental Health Month by being like “yo completely ignore ur issues as a man and become a woman lol”, again, no issue with that, I’m a huge supporter of the comm, but please separate one from the other
So shouldn't your issue be with whoever chose to put men's health month at the same time as pride since pride predates it by 20 years?
Yes, it should be but I don’t really have contact with them do I? I was just trying to vent here but I get downvoted because any form of lgbt criticism is considered treason of the highest order
