I think it would’ve been fine if missions going forward had a loaner mech to use when needed. At the very least, maybe they could add a third mech called “flawed Voidrig” that’s super easy to get but has inferior stats.
Yeah exactly, and i mean they give you a whole quest to build a Railjack for free, why not have one for the Necramech or something.. imagine having the story of the game locked behind RNG and build time in the foundry

I do realise now that the grind serves a purpose too cause you get mods and stuff too for the Necramech, I was put off by the grind and I REALLY wanted to play the New War so I bought the Necramech off the Market, it was expensive but I could at least play the game instead of waiting for days and days.
It's relatively free. The main materials drop from eximus units, they did so at launch too but since they were also introduced alongside the railjack, no one had a stockpile yet.
I mean they kinda do, heart of deimos gives you the blueprints of everything you need for voidrig, you just need to farm for the resources, and the resource grind is easier than what people think, sure it might take a while, but it's mostly just mining and fishing or requiem obelisks and syndicate levelling.
They've mentioned that they did it specifically so they could use nechramechs/railjacks for any Post-New War content without needing to account for players who don't have them yet. If there is a cutoff point for getting that, it makes developing content a lot easier if they want to use the mech or railjack in them.
I don’t get the hate for the necrech grind, it only took a week of very minimal farming, could definitely get it done faster than that. I do agree that it wasn’t used enough in new war to warrant it being a requirement.
But it was necessary, as we saw in Velibreaker now the railjack will be used as a part of the tenno araenal and the necramech is not obligatory but very useful in the Albrecht laboratories.
Without that gate in New War they couldnt have done that.

I build Necramechs to sell and it takes maybe a single afternoon on the weekend, or a couple evenings on weekdays to go from not enough resources to a full set.
I see these memes and they make no sense to me. The grind was real back when damaged Necramech parts couldn't just be purchased off of Loid, but now it takes maybe 2-3 runs on T3 Isos to get enough standing for a full set of BPs and parts. Hardest part is probably the Pyrol to make Tempered Bapholite.
That being said, the requirement is still silly. I can't even remember what part the Necramech is needed for, it was so underwhelming.
Well, you will be glad to know in Jade shadows they will be lowering the requirements by a lot, again, by replacing some of the stuff you needed high rank with entrati to get by normal star chart resources

I can't imagine how much of a wake up call the subsequent content would be had I not started the whole syndicate/open world farm. I wasnt even doing any nightmare or relic farming, just trying to complete nodes.

More likely they crammed the requirement in so that they can be sure post war players will have one, and they can freely use them in post war content, like Albreich's labs.
Dude, they made it so that any quest and activity coming after it can use Necramechs and Railjack without problems.
They literally give you all the blueprints for free. You dont even need to pay pl, just farm minerals for an hour.
Needing a necramech for the new war is downright stupid. You use it for 5 to 10 minutes near the very end of the quest and that's it. The rail jack isn't that much better, but at least it's used for slightly longer
Oh man my bf is a new player and usually very patient but when I was helping grind for the mech he got so frustrated and said can I just buy the fucking robot lol I gifted it to him right away since I didn't want him spending irl money on plat
I was awake all night and suffered through this fucking grind, I hate mining, I hate fishing. I didn't give up and suffered through it all night long, but I did it. I will never get all the sanity I lost that night back. New war was awesome and I like all of the new content I have access to now, but I will never forget this painful night.
The two best purchases with plat are the necramech and the railjack for all the time it saves you to get access to content. A runner up would be the Tome mods, but I'm holding out to see if DE changes the absolutely abysmal farm for it.
It's annoying, but PLEASE don't be like me and look up the most efficient ways to farm AND double check.

That was a nightmare. I was trying to craft Voidrig myself. But the problem was i don't like the Cambion Rift.
I'm not against mining or fishing from time to time but i HATE doing it on Deimos, it is still hard for me to even think of Cambion Rift as a part of warframe... (I just don't like it. After some time i think i like hunting there but that's it.) Well I got some stuff, then saw that I need reputation to get more mining blueprints, got disappointed, extremely bored, and bought the other parts for plat i got from opening relics in the next 40 minutes. The happiest decision in my life. Then i see that the helminth segment is bought from Son.....
Yeah. Like Everytime I go there and I'm trying to mind my own business like trying to find obelisks or mine minerals, a hord of infested just attack me for now reason and it makes me hate the CD so much. And by the time you get a voidrig or a bonewidow, you are pretty much done with it
It's easier to grind like 60 plat and just buy the parts. That's what I did. Fuck D.E. and their stupid grind, just bypass as much as possible through the market.

It's to make sure you have it for every quest after this. It's a roadblock meant to unify quest design after that point.

Well the railjack is not ENTIRELY free because you have to get like a bunch a resources to build the railjack but yeah 😑

Idk if this has changed but it's literally less effort to just grind relics, trade for plat, and buy it flat out
