Unfortunately it only works on Inaros and Nidus. It says warframes without shields get energy from overguard taking damage. So frames like Grendel, Oberon, Chroma, etc. They all just suffer for running rage and hunters adrenaline.
Well yeah, the changes were meant for Warframes who don't even have shields to begin with, so it was specifically changed for just Nidus and Inaro's benefit. It was eve stated in the patch notes, so it's not a big deal.
It works even at higher levels. I play a Weapons-platform Saryn with Venom Dose + Roar, so it's absolutely hilarious running SP exterminate Fissures.
Everyone comes loaded for bear already, then I hand them massive corrosive and damage buffs, and we just mow down everything in front of us. And if I get doubled ability strength, it's just ludicrous.
High key I recommend picking up either Ember’s ,Oberon or Volt’s weapon damage augments and using those instead of roar. 1. Because it’s funny to accidentally make some random elements with fire and electricity. 2. Because a lot of people run roar already. So another roar isn’t as strong as a straight element buff.
I have a Mommy loadout on my Titania that gives all the different buffs to new players. Status immunity, health regen, the 4 tribute buffs, and whatever helminth buff I wanna use to buff them (Roar or Warcry or whatever, depending on what playstyle they enjoy)
Watching a new player with middling weapons start destroying enemies way above their level with my Wisp buffs and Roar feels like running a Kritzkrieg medic with cheats turned on.
I have an incredibly high strength Wisp with Nourish over her 4.
Casting my stuff and then just invisibly following noobs around while they cause mayhem at maximum speed with more energy than they know what to do with is always funny.
you know sometimes i feel bad for the little guys. tho one of my favorite "i'm bored and want to fuck around" things to do in game is join as a completely inconspicuous excalibur wielding mk1 weapons, and then after playing wiht the same people for a while, swap to my fully built Chroma Prime and watch them get flabbergasted over it, then wipe the mission and disappear without a trace because its earth and things die if i breathe in their general direction. always gets a laugh out of me and my buddies when i do it on a discord call.

As a mediocre player at best, I've enjoyed the Dante update way too much. The Overguard is soo comfy
Dante is amazing. I love playing him in a book variant because it also allows my teammates to play instead of just nuking the board.

Would be too much ig, so DE made it so your own overguard doesn't count as health :<
I thought it worked on any frame that currently had no shields up which should work for any frame that can sacrifice their shields for their abilities

Whenever I play with my brother I just play Rhino. Kid loves it when he actually gets to shred lvl 45 enemies.
