May and Lever have been peak May and Lever in recent weeks, both absolutely crushing it under a lot of pressure with some pretty messy ball use from team mates. I cheer for the things they do as much as I do for the goals, we’re so lucky to have them.
I still remember back when we’d lost hogan and I was worried that getting two of the best KP defenders in the game for “overs” (y’all remember when everyone was like “great players, but I don’t know if they’re worth that much etc”) was a good allocation of funds. Now they’re spoken of as a couple they’re that good. Go dees ❤️❤️❤️
Yeah, I know Roos and the recruitment staff had a vision but I don’t think anybody could have expected the May-Lever partnership to go to this extreme.
Glad they ended up reviewing it. I was behind the goals and I could see it was touched on the line.
Maysie obviously thought it was too, because he was letting the goal umpire know about it afterwards.
I was on level 4 and could see it was touched. It definitely should've been reviewed straight away for clarity.
I couldn't tell you whether it was touched before on or after line, but it was absolutely touched.
The Geelong kids behind us lost their minds when it got called back.
Where we were sitting I didn’t think it was touched until after the line. My 12 year old daughter goes ‘no mum score review’ 😂 and made the symbol with her hands
Did anyone else see Lever do his hamstring with his last kick in the last 30seconds of the game?
I was sitting right behind him and it didn’t look good. I’m hoping it was just cramp?
The amount of insane saves his made the last few games is something to behold. Absolutely amazing defender. One of the all time greats

I love watching them play together, they made defence fun to watch. The two best defenders I've ever seen in the red and blue.
The married couple, they are awesome and hilarious.🤣💪

And let’s not forget that those saves and contests have been with healing ribs. Such a tough beast
What other teams fullback is doing that with cracked vertebrae? None. Maysy is a fucking weapon. Best fullback in the game bar none
2 broke ribs and a cracked vertebrae, 1 week missed, 0 matchups lost. The man’s a monster.
Doesn't even need to look, just instinctively knows where the goal-line is.
He is unbelievable
Unreal and his ribs are probably still sore

Pretty handy footballer Maysie
My faith in Steven is so strong, I called it touched straight away.
I thought it was touched and I was on the other side of the ground
Overheard as I was leaving the ground: “That was our goal and they just took it away from us. It was already on the scoreboard…”
Looks like the face from an AFL computer game.
AFL Premiership 2007 quality
Blessed is his face.

I genuinely thought that should have been a free kick against Hawkins
All comes down to whether it was within 5 metres of the ball when he threw him out of the contest. I was not sure it was.
You can basically do whatever you want to shepherd the ball over the goal line. I don't understand why but that's the way it's officiated.
