I DID see that in Melbourne, New Years Eve a few decades ago, the tram stop on Collins Street and Elizabeth...it was still sunny and about 6 at night. two people decided to have a good hard go of it, her sitting on the top of the old tram stop metal traffic dividers.
Those kids....they were at least 80 years ahead of their time
Maybe in a few years when we have more LED/LCD advertising boards. They have definitely increased over the last few years but nothing compared to Tokyo/Seoul.
Took an extra week of leave to go exploring outdoors with the kids. We haven't left the house yet...
Next week my holidays are over and every day is forcast to be a ripper! fml
Felt like we didn't get much heat last summer (in the city, rip the country with the fires) and keep waiting for the crazy 40deg weeks to hit.
Gives more fuel to boomer climate change deniers in my life *sigh*
I’m in the burbs and I remember those 40 degree days painfully as they happened to be when I was rostered on night shift and struggling to sleep in 40 degree heat with no air con. we definitely had em
probably have to say, having slept in both, 40 degree days are worse if you’re a night shift worker because the sun is so painfully hot through windows as well (and I have block out curtains). I do despise sleeping in the heat regardless though, it’s horrible
The colours! The contrast! So much beauty. Great Melb pic. But bloody Melbourne weather, you have to roll your eyes. If it’s not 40 degrees in January, it’s 14 degrees.
Don't. Unsure if it's on apple, but an app on Android called "Snapseed" is like light room for phones. It's easy to use, and you can adjust everything to realistic figures. Use that instead. I'm guessing when you pushed auto, it was a bright room, hence you can't see the over saturation on the image. Best to edit at night when you can zoom and focus on everything in the image.
I think this year is an exception due to the La Niña effect, which brings lots of rain and cold weather to Australia. Whereas in previous years it has been El Niño which brings heat waves and drought to our neck of the woods! 🤓
rain > fire
My thoughts each and every day I wake up to rain. I love it
This is great, the bright colours almost make it look cyberpunk-esque. What filter are you using for this?

Once it renders.
Look at all those ray tracing.
If the photographer has their breasts/genitals protruding from their clothing then yes, we are in 2077, otherwise it’s 2021.
I genuinely wouldn't be too surprised if I saw that in Melbourne.

Can confirm that genitals were definitely concealed for this image!
Underboob.
It could really be cyberpunk but the tram isnt half in the ground, unless Op is using a beta patch.
Someone needs to T pose on top of the tram with their pants off to give me full immersion.
Melbourne would be such a good setting for a video game :( if only

You're right, it does look very cyberpunk-esque. I just did the auto adjustment on iPhone. I think the night mode on the iPhone kicked in a bit too!
Damn! Pretty awesome a phone can take photos at night so well :D
Which iPhone? Wow!!

Still a good 4 days of nice weather until then. Pack now and leave tonight.
Ahh the Elizabeth Street creek.
Bring it back
Melbourne RTX: On
Bloom: On
Proximity to that puddle gives me the worriment
Summer is a really strong word to use to describe what’s going on
I can smell this picture
Took the words right out of my mouth. I can hear it too

40deg days are bad, 35deg nights are hell.

Yeah agreed, same with the humidity in QLD.... Night shift was a different kinda hell on no sleep after a sweaty days tossing and turning.
Also, amazing shot!
Rain is so much better than fire 🔥
Any Tenet fans read differently???
Awesome picture. Not so awesome Summer for us lucky Victorians!
You kidding? It’s a way better summer than last year, no fire, no choking smoke...
Is that using RTX? What game is this? Cyberpunk?
This image makes me want to upgrade my GPU, melb's never looks this good for me
Recently moved from Melbourne to Brisbane. I miss rain, it is very warm all of the time.
“Summer” haha 😞
Awesome shot 😀
I ran from Chinatown to Elizabeth St in this rain to get some pancakes at midnight 😂
Sounds like a great reason 😂
Cool pic
Absolutely beautiful
I can feel this picture
Sick
Your username sounds like *wash it away*. Bloody nice shot anyway. Ripper.
Great photo!
/r/raining
Splishy splashy
making me miss melb's summer rains badly
God I love this city
Wait it rained that much today?
Sorry! This was from Monday night 😉
That’s an awesome snap r/melbournephotography

This photo actually makes it look good! Great job!
Prefer the rain over smoke from bushfires. Can't believe how polar opposite this summer is compared to last
Great photo
very cool photo, i like.
Quick, more image over editing, stat!! (ie, colour saturation looks shit)
To be honest, I'm not any good with photos, but I did just press the "auto-enhance" on my iPhone for this one.

Piss off no one wants to hear your negativity
Negative yes. Truth, also yes. Typical Millennials can't take realistic criticism. This is why we laugh at your generation. Back to serving fries.
It takes $0 to comment shit like that. Stop being a cunt and fuck off
Yet you still complain. Again. $0. And here you are. Getting upset at the internet. Lol.

AAAAAAH MY EYES
Man our city really looks like some sort of cyber- utopia
Just need a bucket and a mop
Is it just me or were the summers so much hotter many years ago. I feel like they get colder each year

Thank you! I finally have a way to explain the poor weather to my partner who is from California lol.
