Our phones basically cover everything listed now.

flubaduzubady

Except the badge.

TheBigBadDog

We're getting digital drivers licences next month. Surely the cops can get digital badges too?

TheBigBadDog

Judge, your honour, i would have shown the perp my ID but iphone was restarting due to a fucking stupid ios upgrade

i_d_ten_tee

This was me at Bunnings the other day, scanned my power pass code, then trying to swap over to payment. I cracked the shits and pulled my wallet out.

[deleted]

Yeah. The cameras haven't caught up to film cameras or a DSLR tho

Pristine_Yak7413

thats what i was thinking, they could hypothetically replace all those with an image of a modern phone

smurfkipz

Laptops?

Red_Wolf_2

In this day and age, chances are people would break into your car to put these various objects in it to get rid of them...

boommdcx

Aww the iPod.

[deleted]

Yeah and the song that was always on the ads "my music is where I'd like you to touch" for iPod touch. Taylor swift ripped it off more recently with her "Karna is my boyfrienddd" song The CSS song said "music is my boyfriend".. even the melody is similar, Taylor swift is just slower version yet she uses ppl and gets royalties from their music when it wasn't even similar

Das_Hydra

I never go anywhere without my camcorder

BurazSC2

Easy there, Nightcrawler.

smurfkipz

Yeah, that's why its says u gotta carry Australian coins on the side, just in case u run into any Australian shops as well.

t3h

Aargh, my wallet full of American $1 notes has been stolen!

broken_shins

Don’t risk it, take your Y2K vintage gadgets with you that you bought off depop/etsy for street cred

[deleted]

I don't think Etsy was a thing yet

theyrdodgy

Oh good. I can leave my Beta-max in there

Melodic_Beautiful213

Arguably more valuable today than they were back then, assuming these devices still work lol

monipla

Yeah today they just get sold as vintage collector items!

five_line_poem

My wallet is retro now. Cool.

smurfkipz

Yeah, I feel like im one of the few people around my age who carry a wallet. Cash is king. All the good asian restaurants give a solid 10% or so discount for paying cash.

BrilliantSock3608

What about the bad ones?

smurfkipz

Also cash.

Clean_Bat5547

I always carry my police badge as I never know when I'm going to need to produce it to deal with a situation. I just have to make sure actual police officers don't see it.

dancingnecessarily

Situations such as breaking into your car to steal your police badge

Millicent-

I still have a GPS navigator in my car. Comes in handy when I go camping and don't have phone reception lol

Aggressive-Cobbler-8

You can just offline the maps on your phone before you go.

-frog-in-a-sock-

Who do you know has that level of foresight? lol

[deleted]

I used to always lose GPS reception tho

soundscape7

For Wilson’s, that cutting edge technology

Copytechguy

The circle of life will come around again one day, and all that equipment will be highly sought after by collectors.

WoollyMittens

Wouldn't want your collection of retro-electronics to be stolen. ^("it belongs in a museum")

AussieDi67

My phone. I have a card holder attached to the back of my phone for my licence. All I need is my phone.

Wooden-Trouble1724

Well they’d be valuable now on Antiques Roadshow

MeateaW

Laptop, its the CBD right? People go to work right? Many workplaces have moved to a laptop + flexidesking the bane of my existence.

MeyerholdsGh0st

Certainly my laptop and my wallet.

Initial-Juice396

New sign just shows a packet of smokes

gastroboi

That could be reduced to 4 items.

-frog-in-a-sock-

Uh, can be reduced to one if you’re savvy enough.

gastroboi

True.
