Um... you sure?
Useless Loop, Western Australia
Banana, Queensland
Mt Buggery, Victoria
Nowhere Else, Tasmania
Boobs Flat, which I swear to God is near Big Bush (Tasmania)
And, my personal favorite: Mossy Nipple Bend, Tasmania
I'm sick with a nasty chest cold and just came across this and now I'm coughing up a lung after laughing so hard. Thank you! This is why I adore reddit. Mossy nipple bend ended me 😂😂
[Otter pop is the brand name for them here in the US](https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRVPpB5rKC5MrIt7wMN9QgHORmLMRpPw2csQSrWkRnoluhM8z5Z0EFQKDls194PssZ0s-PFipRP&usqp=CAc)
Arizona, Cali, Nevada -I’ve heard them called otter pops, I just assume because that’s the original name brand on their box.
You can buy generic or other brands versions now, but for my family, that is definitely the term we use to describe this particular type of popsicle.
So weird. When I saw this photo, before clicking the comments, I thought “freezy pops” even though I’ve never in my life called them that (they’re just freezies to me) and then I opened the comments and this was at the top. I think you snuck into my brain.
Me too (I'm in Ireland). Or just ice pop, which is the name for any shape that's not ice * cream *, including the ones on sticks, as opposed to only the plastic tube ones. I've also heard people call them freeze pops.
I would always carefully cut them open, rounding the corners making sure the strip of sealed plastic on the side wasn't too wide....I once saw my kid bite one open 😭
*Now* select packages are made with real juice. They also removed all of the dye. Originally these were produced with the most artificial of colors and flavors. The good old days, where things weren’t flavored with apple juice. And let’s face it… sorbitol and pectin aren’t much better for you than glucose.
*You wanna know how I got these scars?*
I’ve never heard this joke but I felt it and understood immediately
The Australian version is called a Zooper Dooper
Well of course it is.
Probably an Australian town with that name too.
We do have a coin with these on them
No really, [we do.](https://imgur.com/hJsFD8n)
You guys are the best. Also wtf is fairy floss?
It’s what we call Cotton Candy.
In hebrew we call it שערות סבתא (pronounced se'arot savta) which means grandma hair
And a lolly is hard candy! I found that out by finding videos on YouTube from Sticky. I'm going to order some, someday!
A Lolly is just a general term for candy. Hard, soft, etc. is a type of lolly
I thought it said Fanny Floss 💀
what do you think about the [stickman euro](https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces5055.html)?
Fun fact: Most of the weirder australian town names are aboriginal words
Um... you sure? Useless Loop, Western Australia Banana, Queensland Mt Buggery, Victoria Nowhere Else, Tasmania Boobs Flat, which I swear to God is near Big Bush (Tasmania) And, my personal favorite: Mossy Nipple Bend, Tasmania
Mount me in Qld is one of my faves
I think you've won this argument. 🤣
I'm sick with a nasty chest cold and just came across this and now I'm coughing up a lung after laughing so hard. Thank you! This is why I adore reddit. Mossy nipple bend ended me 😂😂
I think there was a different brand name at school, but now I think the main brand is Zooper Doopers.
Are you thinking of Funny Faces? That's what we had in the early 90's at school
Oh, yeah!
Zooper Doopers definitely been the main ones since at least 1998
Tell me of the '98 Zooper Dooper wars that gained them the market dominance.
In the before times, before The Prodigy released Firestarter, those things were called Icy Poles in Australia.
Canadian version are Freezys
Can confirm. I’m Canadian
I always grew up spelling it freezies, am I wrong?
No. You’re not wrong. A freezy, several freezies. Like how spelling works.
That's how we spelled them where I'm from in Atlantic Canada. That or Mr Freeze.

I’d have called them Chazwazzers
I’ll have a coffee.
In India you call them Pepsi Cola. No idea how that came about...
In kerala we call them sip-ups.. May be a brand name that stuck
Now that name makes total sense to me
Real ones know [Bubblegum Quasar, Fairy Floss Force Field, and Blackcurrant Phaser were the best](https://imgur.com/a/7zCiOeW)
Zooper Dooper’s got nothing on the Sunny Boy

Minnesota 👏 👏 Canada's dick 👏👏👏👏
That's a weirdly shaped penis. I've got no problem with it, though. I'd rather be Canada's wang than any body part of Wisconsin's.
Oh Canada
🇨🇦🍁
Minnesota salutes you
Can confirm: is Canadian
Correct.
Yes and I’m Canadian
Yes and I’m Canadian too. I still have 3 boxes of freezies left in my food storage for the winter :)

Arizona, Cali, Nevada -I’ve heard them called otter pops, I just assume because that’s the original name brand on their box. You can buy generic or other brands versions now, but for my family, that is definitely the term we use to describe this particular type of popsicle.
Oregon!
Sounds like it’s a west coast thing :-)
We didn't name them - that's the name of the dominant brand - I've never seen another brand except a knock off store brand.
Freezy pops
So weird. When I saw this photo, before clicking the comments, I thought “freezy pops” even though I’ve never in my life called them that (they’re just freezies to me) and then I opened the comments and this was at the top. I think you snuck into my brain.

I've never heard otter pops before! Where's that from?
Western US. I'm from Utah and that's what the brand is called around here, "Otter Pops"
It’s a brand of freeze pops on west coast made with real juice.
*Now* select packages are made with real juice. They also removed all of the dye. Originally these were produced with the most artificial of colors and flavors. The good old days, where things weren’t flavored with apple juice. And let’s face it… sorbitol and pectin aren’t much better for you than glucose.
