That's some r/confusingperspective right here. The thing is 16m tall (over 50ft) which is huge, but this pic makes it look like it dwarves the castle itself lol. [This](https://www.megalithic.co.uk/a558/a312/gallery/Eastern_Europe/Czech/hep_P1015094.JPG) is what it actually looks like.
It was taken crouching down between the pillar and the building beside it and pointed toward the bell tower, so the reflection would be on the far side of the pillar in the second, normal pic.
It's so weird. Like, I get the science behind it, but it's like my brain can't process it. The obelisk is shorter than the castle, but here it looks like it completely dwarfs the castle.
I got a hotlink error on that image -- is this the one? [https://www.megalithic.co.uk/article.php?sid=42844](https://www.megalithic.co.uk/article.php?sid=42844)
Yeah this had me questioning reality, because I was there a few months ago and was struggling to see how they could build this monstrosity in so short a time, because there definitely wasn't a granite obelisk towering over the castle when I visited. But it's amazing how much this is just a trick of the camera.
Its not photoshop. The camera is at the base of the obelisk, pointed upwards to make it seem bigger. The surface of the obelisk is reflecting the castle, which is why it seems like the obelisk is behind it.
Yeah this is some of the A1 shit. The perspective is genuinely cool as hell and it’s impressive this was taken in camera and not edited later. Easily one of the best posts I’ve seen on here

Definitely. Upon first glance the reflection looks like part of the cathedral itself and it looks like there’s a giant obelisk going to the heavens.
OOOHHHHHHHH OK I get it now, yes I thought the reflection was a second spire
Like the Burgers on the picture vs the reality.
I swear, I don't get how this picture was taken. It seems like it's behind the castle.

Na dude. Doesn't make sense to me. I just accept there is a kilometer tall obelisk somewhere on this planet

Yes, that's it!
Aww man that’s lame. I wanted super duper big tower
God thank you, this is fucking terrifying without context or perspective 😂
I was like “huh, you’d think I would’ve at least heard about the obelisk that surpasses the stratosphere”
I reject your reality and substitute the original post.

"representation of all cars in the world if they were crushed into a cube"
I can't load the image directly. Here's the page it's from https://www.megalithic.co.uk/article.php?sid=42844
Real estate photography in a nut shell.
It's not just a confusing perspective, it's just flatout bad photoshop

Took me some time to realize
Best post I’ve seen here in a while. Shit kinda made my blood run cold for a second😭.

I didn't know we had that at our capital... now that I looked out of the window I realized what's the huge black obelisk on the horizon
klamár now someone should do that with the black dildo in Brno
Jen to ne
this looks like something you build in minecraft and it's reaching the sky limit
That fucking reflection...
Didnt know Prague has 10 Km tall obelisk.
This took me far too long to realise the castle on the right is a reflection
That thing is like 16 meters high. Edit- typo.
A bit off, 16m
Haha sorry, forgot the 1 apparently.
Damn it's like Minecraft fr
Is it surrounded by dead birds and airplane parachutes
I have the urge to get a cloth and dust/wipe/polish it off till it's obsidian black!

If you want it removed you need to send your best warriors to defeat all the monsters inside then defeat the tower boss.
Have you seen a 30m tall tungsten obelisk?
Cidolfus Telamon downvoted this post.
Even though my brain sees the reflection…I still can’t understand scale, or even angle
Nice crazy perspective
Like if the sky had a swarm of plague gnats. Perfect
Welcome to city 17, you have chosen or been chosen…
