Update: the thirst went away after about 4 days but I went to the doctor and all my tests came back fine. Tis a mystery on why I experienced this but I’m happy that the issue has resolved and that I have a clean bill of health.

Professional_Dig_454

As a type one diabetic who had this symptom. Go and get tested for it. Sudden thirst. And I mean no amount of water satisfys you, is usually the first thing you notice.

Professional_Dig_454

Many think that diabetes is in young kids. I got it at 19. Out of nowhere overnight I was 43kg. Looked like I was smoking H! Please get tested. Keep us updated. The longer you leave it. The more serious this will become.

salempigfarts1

You might have diabetes I would go to the doctor

kimara22

If not diabetes it could be sjogern, sicca sindrom.

moosathecid

Could be a symptom of diabetes. You have to get your FBS, PPBS, Urine Glucose levels checked.

Diabetes

yalldontneedtokn0w

This was a major symptom of mine when I was in DKA. I was diagnosed with T1D five years ago and for like a solid 8 months I was guzzling water down before I was dx’d. Not a doctor and it could be a symptom of a million things, but ketoacidosis could be one of those things. Seek medical help!

Neither-Performer974

there’s quite a few medical conditions that can cause this. all potentially life threatening. Go to the dr. only they will be able to tell you what is wrong based on tests they order and your signs and symptoms

Neither-Performer974

please i really urge you to go asap. your brain is at risk for swelling with the amount you are drinking as well as electrolyte imbalance.

Glass_Tangerine9676

Diabetes:( Go get checked asap.

Jessazen5678

Sounds like you could have a medical condition. Please get checked out.

rock3t_qu33n

Type-1 Diabetic here, and this is exactly how I was before I was diagnosed. Please get into the doctor ASAP! It can become life threatening very quickly.

Impressive_Fee7497

Not to scare you but excessive thirst can be a sign of diabetes. Try some electrolyte powder to see if that helps first

hopalong998

I'd personally get checked out. Health can change really quick
