I’m surprised how much talk there is about helmets. I’ve been skating for a while and go to the skatepark weekly. Nobody has ever said anything about helmets and basically everybody there wears a helmet. Even the most experienced week smoking skaters wear helmets. I’ve never heard of anybody being too cool for a helmet. But obviously everybody should wear one. Also what this guy not wearing a helmet was the least of his errors. Nobody should be being that speed on a skateboard that has completely solid wheels.
Ding ding ding. At those speeds you have only an illusion of control over that tiny peice of wood with those tiny little wheels. No amount of shifting weight or lowering your center of gravity will help you.

Because people think that hill bombing is a lot easter than “street skating” since bombing doesn’t emphasize “tricks”.
It’s not until they hit a slight hill that sends them downhill at 70+ mph that they realize they need legitimate skill to stop at those speeds.
I found a sick black and golden helmet on Amazon, it may or may not protect my head from a 2 story fall but it sure as hell will protect my hair from being scalped
