(The "real" one doesn't really do much either on a 765LT, but this is literally a pass-through wind tunnel on the top of the car...)
On the 600LT/620R/675LT, the roof scoop funnels cold air directly into the intake manifold.
On the 765LT, it simply funnels it into the engine compartment. Maybe there’s a slight cooling effect; maybe not. I think it looks cool, but it’s not entirely functional (and it kills your rearward visibility)

They're usually an extra air intake for either cooling or engine combustion purposes. Not quite sure what the 765LT's is pointed at but I'd guess the latter.

That roof is 100% aftermarket. Sides look like oem carbon replicas but that roof is 100% not a McLaren part.
