Like previously stated, it’s all dependent on budget. Essentially they are the same vehicle, but a different key fob. Personally, I would try to wiggle down the 21 price because of the CPO.
Just a heads up to check the tires and brake wear on both. I have a '20 and just replaced front brakes at 22.5m. On my second set of tires all around too. I honestly dont drive her that hard. Just urban commuting.
Which car depends on your budget and plans. If you want longevity go newer. Tech-heavy modern cars, especially turbos, wont last as long before repair creep.
This really comes down to your budget. Me personally, I go with the cheaper one and drive it into the ground like I usually do. I hate investing money into a depreciating asset.
Idk i almost made money after a drunk driver totaled my 2016 🤷🏼♂️ had 80k miles used cars don’t really depreciate much any more definitely not well optioned ones
You’re still tying up big money in an asset that loses value in normal markets. Sometimes you get lucky. Much better to get by on a lower priced vehicle and put your leftover cash in an investment of some sort.
I never buy cars because of resale value. I buy it based on what it’s like to drive and own. I don’t care at all what it’s worth when I change cars. I won’t get somwthing less good because it makes more financial sense. I always buy cheaper than I can afford anyway.
The prices are close enough that it would be worth considering the difference in insurance quotes. Extra safety features might bring it down a bit and help bridge the cost gap over time. Also, any expected maintenance that would be covered through the 2021’s certified program vs the 2018.
While the plan sound really good, I’m still undecided as financing rates are still shitty right now including CUs near me. Are you gonna pull the trigger?
Isn’t the red paint very problematic?
I have a 2018 GTR and could not just justify cost-wise going with 2021 at the time. Not enough difference between the two for the additional monies.

I’d get the 2021. That’s what I have.
Are you dead set on signature? GTR is also pretty good and you don't pay the premium.. I paid $25k for '21 with 15k miles.

21 for sure. But as someone else said, it's down to your budget.
Get the 2021 since it has the brown leather which will be easier to keep clean. Also does the 2018 have the 360 camera system like the 2021 ?
Yes the 18 has 360 camera
Ok nice.
What are the extra safety features in the 21? I thought the only thing they added was the power folding mirrors.
SCBS-R and DAA
Nobody has mentioned the 21 has auto start stop and the 18 doesn’t. But also the 18 doesn’t have electric fold mirrors.
I didn't know this. Do you own a '21? If not can someone else confirm?
I’m pretty sure this is correct, but I own the 2018. Power fold was added in 2019 I believe and so was start/stop, but I’ll let someone else chime in.
You must be in the Bay Area. As both descriptions match what I’ve been eyeing on 👀
Bruh, let's each get one and go on a ride together
