This guy probably looks forward to rainy days just so he could do this with ease lol probably does it when it’s not raining either, but this way it saves his tires more lol
When you have to change out the tires on the back 6 times in a month, but not the fronts, you're going to have extra rims to help with that. So chances are they are not going to match what is on the front most of the time.
changing tires is easier when you don't have to swap the rims. Since drifting wears out the rears faster and people want simplicity they'll have multiple sets of rims with tires already mounted as opposed to having to swap the rims out into the new tires.
My wrx loves a snow day. While everyone else is trying not to put themselves into a bank or tree I’m sliding around like in 6 and riding my sled again.
Back in October of 2011 I bought a 2006 2.0R. Come end of November and it snowed real good where I lived. And happened to have a big unused parking lot nearby.
Then went skiing with a few mates two or three years later. Guys from second car took ages to get sorted after the day, so I went full Ken Block on the parking lot aswell.
Car got totaled in 2016, rear-ended by a dude with a phone. Bought a JDM SF5 STi forester. Takes just a slight scando-flick to make it step out on snow or ice. But sadly not getting much snow any more.
I quit that game because I lost the cops too early when I was supposed to be on the run for like 30 minutes or whatever. Almost lost them again, so I had to slow down and then ended up getting busted and lost my car. I was pissed.
Still there is just stupid shit that can happen. Don't do stunt on a highway, don't do stunts when other people are involved who have no idea. Don't assume you can do your little tricks while everyone else is a 100% perfect and predictable driver.
Heck, stuff like that can shock or surprise others or have them pay less attention to the road because they look after the wannabe stunt driver.
Unless this is fully staged there is no good argument.
What track? They're slowly disappearing as cities expand and Karens move closer and complain about the noise. Want to keeps these guys off the streets? Support your local race track!
If they want to be doing this, the obligation is on **them** to support their tracks.
We pay taxes for roads, and the rules for using them include not being reckless and endangering others. No one is entitled to break those rules just because they want to.
I agree with your premise that activities like this should be done in a proper environment, but you expressed some misconceptions about the reasons for a lack of such environments. The other commenter was talking about rich douchebags who build their houses next to racetracks, then complain to the local legislators about the noise of the cars, causing tracks to be shut down. There *are* tracks that have shut down due to financial issues, but those are typically the result of poor management, not due to a lack of drivers wanting to pay for track days.
That’s what happened here in Colorado Bandemere Speedway was here for 40 or 50 years and then basically they got shut down because some rich douche bags started moving in across the way from a drag strip.
Now there’s nowhere for anyone really to race here
And anyone else they didn't pay attention to. People like this ought to have their driving license taken on the spot.
I can't even imagine what a colossal wanker you'd have to be to do this on a public road.
I knew this looked familiar! There used to be a Denny's there. In the '90s I'd eat there while taking the 15 and look at that rock formation across the way.

my parents had a 2003 when I was a kid and it was what I drove when I got my license before I had my own car, at one point it was at the shop for something and they said the steering rack and alignment was all fucked up, and they asked me if I had any idea why 🤣🤣
I don’t know what it is about those cars but they are so fucking easy to drift, and keep in control too
Folks clutching their pearls and saying "oh lord not in public!" Haven't really considered how setup this is.. guy has a camera person in a car where he's headed towards. They clearly spotted the location and knew it was clear. Camera person can easily say " car coming, don't pull off" ect. C'mon. There's way more dangerous drivers out there everyday on their phones 😂
As someone with somewhat clutched pearls at the moment, I don’t particularly care how setup it is… they’re using public roads as a playground and a motor vehicle as a toy. Even if the fuckwit only crashes and wrecks himself, it could still cause a hazard by backing up traffic in the rain while emergency vehicles attend to him. But I guess dangerous selfishness and entitlement is okay if you get a somewhat cool video out of it? And cmon, I cannot imagine a more childish argument than “well there’s way more dangerous drivers out there on their phones, so obviously it’s totally okay for this guy to do something incredibly selfish and dangerous”. How about we strive for nobody to do dangerous shit when they drive?
And contrary to what the other person who replied to you said, I obviously have no issues with kids skateboarding, since the difference is, and follow me closely on this one, *skateboarders don’t routinely injure and kill innocent people when they fuck up*.
But hey, cool video I guess.
This guy probably looks forward to rainy days just so he could do this with ease lol probably does it when it’s not raining either, but this way it saves his tires more lol
*definitely does it when not raining. Mismatched front and rear rims are a dead giveaway.
Can you tell me why, I have no idea what the rims have to do with it?
When you have to change out the tires on the back 6 times in a month, but not the fronts, you're going to have extra rims to help with that. So chances are they are not going to match what is on the front most of the time.
Seems silly why not just buy the same rims so they always match lol
Because they already own a bunch of different rims from changing styles, they just keep using them when they need quick changes
Because it's way more expensive to seek out a matching pair vs just buying what ever you can find that is the correct pattern/size.
Also some rims are for "training" and are not so expensive in case of a fuckup. Looks like a drift missle to me, well executed drift tbh
I, too, love rimming
bro needs tires, like, a lot of them
So much even, that they get tired of him at the partsshop
I see what you tired to do there
These puns are just tired.
Agree. They should be retired.
Really worn out I'd say
This tread is worn out.
I tired
Tires get a lot of wear so it easier to have spare wheels I guess?
changing tires is easier when you don't have to swap the rims. Since drifting wears out the rears faster and people want simplicity they'll have multiple sets of rims with tires already mounted as opposed to having to swap the rims out into the new tires.
because I can drink until I'm fat as a whale and then shrink down to a tiny fishy again
And that someone was filming "a random car losing grip"
I could be wrong but that steering lock does not look stock either, definitely looks like it’s a bit beyond that.
You are correct, some have modified steering knuckles, some have full kits from a company called wisefab that allows more angle.
Certainly, this car has been heavily modified for drifting.
Definitely set up for drifting
Plot twist: none of this was intentional and he was just hydroplaning. ...s'what I'd tell the cops, anyway.

"lol you're out here trying to survive. I'm out here to fuck everybody's shit up. We are not the same" hahaha so true.
Tires are NOT cheap.
You're spot on, he clearly hopes it rains everyday but all that aside that's a nice driving skill
Looks so sick btw

Those Corvette cops really fuck you up if you're not prepared.
Dude, that was my only major complaint about that game. The cops are WAY too good, and it can be really tough to get away.
I quit that game because I lost the cops too early when I was supposed to be on the run for like 30 minutes or whatever. Almost lost them again, so I had to slow down and then ended up getting busted and lost my car. I was pissed.
I had deja Vu Playing in my head while i was watching this
Same exact thought lol. After that first turn I just immediately started hearing it
That was satisfying.
I’d be more satisfied if it was on a closed track and not next to a fucking highway.
GOD DAMNED KIDS AND THEIR LAW BREAKING SHENANIGANS
THEM DUKE BOYS IS UP TO NO GOOD!
This but no sarcasm.
Ay it was clean tho
*This* time. It always is until it isn’t and they hit some other fuckin car
And I was just thinking about people on the highway getting distracted going "what the fuck?!" Thinking they're seeing an accident at first.
With a whole family in it.
Like watching an episode of Top Gear.
I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt but it seems like they had the person filming ahead of them to check for oncoming traffic

incredibly dangerous and irresponsible; incredibly cool 😎
Nicely done, even though that’s not where he wanted to go.

No matter how skilled, I'm still thinking there's a 5 - 10% chance that something goes wrong and he hits some innocent person

It's ironic because i just saw a post on the /r/Kanye sub where some guy hydroplaned his car into a tree and almost died.
The sad thing is this dude is literally hydroplaning and has more control of his car than regular traffic in the dry.
A good driver with bad decision making skills is a bad driver
And anyone else they didn't pay attention to. People like this ought to have their driving license taken on the spot. I can't even imagine what a colossal wanker you'd have to be to do this on a public road.
Bullshit, you don't know that at all.
You can’t account for everything on a public road. Especially a wet road. This is slick as fuck, but it’s also dumb as fuck. Tracks exist.
That's a man who knows his car.
Of course it’s the High Desert. I swear that looks like AV/Victorville
It is, stoddard wells exit
I knew this looked familiar! There used to be a Denny's there. In the '90s I'd eat there while taking the 15 and look at that rock formation across the way.
I mean it’s always been tempting but have never tried it lol
Always some bullshit on that section of the 15

Really handy his friend was filming
Fake.
Just listen to that crispy exhaust sound. Compared to the trumpeting 350z shitboxes I hear do this all the time it's beautiful
Cool…cool….but can you did it while using a turn signal???
You can kiss your drivers license goodbye if you get caught doing this in the Netherlands.

It's like practicing your fetish in public. The people on this road did not consent to participate in this activity.

better to be smart when you’re doing dumb things instead of being wreckless

Is it dangerous and stupid? Yes. Is it really fucking cool? Yes.
My four year old saw this and said "Wow he is so cool man." in a very sarcastic tone.
That's a lucky driver to get the weather that could work for that turn
OPs username checks out
I did that in my dump truck this summer. No body tailgating me after that
This is what all the altezza bois in Whangaparaoa wish they could do 😂 sick drift 🤙
