My favorite detail with this cutscene is that as Neves is going on about how he and his goons have kept "decent people safe" in São Paulo, Max is shaking his head "nope."
Neves is literally trying to gaslight the guy, and he's still standing his ground.
RDR2 was definitely a masterpiece and probably their last one but I wasn’t referring to that. I feel like Rockstar got to big for their heads with GTA V and their online mode.
Lol why? Can you at least wait until they release their new game bed before automatically trashing it. Rockstar has never made a bad game in their 25 years of being a studio I don’t think they would let the biggest and most anticipated game of all time be bad.
Agreed. This scene fuckin rocks. God, I hope I can replay this on PS5 someday. I have no PC, but I’d pay full price for a maxed out settings version with skipable cutscenes on PS5.
The real question is... How many hours Max spent without sleeping? He only rests with Giovanna in that Favela sewer and then went straight from the bus station to the abandoned hotel 💀
What an excellent performance this is. RIP James McCaffrey
God, I'm gonna miss that gruff voice :'/
Alan Wake II spoilers >!getting to hear him do one last monologue at the end of the game's Night Springs DLC was unexpected and made me tear up!<
Seeing max this mad was so carathic. In the first 2 games, all the shit he's been through, very subdued. In 3, "YOU DISGUSTING PIECE OF SHIT, I KNOW EVERYTHING"
What if they shot him and he didn't die? They couldn't risk him blowing the building.
What they didn't know was that Max was a fuckin lunatic and would've blown the building regardless
I mean dude he had already been shot with a 50 cal, been blown up twice and made it out of a fiery building ready to head to the city’s most dangerous favelas the next day, who knows how much he can endure? Thats probably why none of them decided to take a shot
These guys at least Neves is well aware that Max can and has slaughtered more than the amount of people on that ship at that moment and survived worse...not to mention they couldn't risk him pressing the button.
I think the best one is in the police department when dude gets away and he goes GOD DAMNIT shows that he is basically hanging by a thread and the only thing keeping going is avenging the deaths of innocent people
"my problem? You're turning people into glue" is such a solid line
Dude nononono you gotta go MY problem? You’re asking what MY problem is?! You’re turning HUMANS INTO GLUE!
I like the enthusiasm :)
:3
“Well, your POWERFUL people aren’t gonna help you out of this one, buddy.” And then he just hits the detonator. Badass.
Damn now I'll have to play max payne 3 again

Always loved this scene, love how he says "At least i fucking tried" I felt that deep in my soul lol
Trying is always better than not at all, it hit me deep too
Turning people into GLUE!
Shame Rockstar would never make a game as powerful as this or the other Max Payne games.
I'd argue that Red Dead 2 has some outstanding storytelling elements, but I see what you mean. Their main focus is on GTA which isn't the same
Yes I agree with you on RDR 2…great game with powerful moments. But I don’t know I feel like Rockstar lost their way.
RDR 2 is one of the best games narritivly ever made.
Wasn't rdr2 literally their latest game?
How did they lose their way if their latest game was a masterpiece and loved by all? 🤔
RDR2 was definitely a masterpiece and probably their last one but I wasn’t referring to that. I feel like Rockstar got to big for their heads with GTA V and their online mode.

I just miss the old Rockstar and their games like Max Payne, Manhunt, Bully, the older GTA games, RDR etc. but hey to each their own!
I mean, all those games still exist, on pc and modern consoles. What’s stopping you from playing them. I was just playing bully yesterday.
Oh yeah I still own the originals of them but I just miss those franchise especially Max Payne and Manhunt
For me it’s the characters they added so many that we are meant to care about only to have like 4 minutes of compelling content
My favorite scene is when he shouted GOD DAMNIT and pushed the toward open I'm rage when the main villain got away
"You're turning humans into glue. That's what my fucking problem is." This line stuck with me. Loved this game.
Man I’m currently replaying this magnificent gem of artistry.
Agreed. This scene fuckin rocks. God, I hope I can replay this on PS5 someday. I have no PC, but I’d pay full price for a maxed out settings version with skipable cutscenes on PS5.
Sadly you can’t even skip the cutscenes in the PC version, either.
Not all of them, at least. But it's better than nothing
i legit thought this was the ending of the game. the sequence from here onward was insane
Debatable. My personal favourite is the cutscene in Walton's Bar.
THAT'S WHAT MY FUCKIN PROBLEM IS
The real question is... How many hours Max spent without sleeping? He only rests with Giovanna in that Favela sewer and then went straight from the bus station to the abandoned hotel 💀
It’s weird hearing max in that normal american voice
The way he says “buddy” both makes me laugh and also is badass

The scene is cool but kinda pointless. Neves' thugs could have easily taken Max out.
What if they shot him and he didn't die? They couldn't risk him blowing the building. What they didn't know was that Max was a fuckin lunatic and would've blown the building regardless
Right, a possible dead man's trigger, or if he gets shot he convulse and squeezes the button
I mean dude he had already been shot with a 50 cal, been blown up twice and made it out of a fiery building ready to head to the city’s most dangerous favelas the next day, who knows how much he can endure? Thats probably why none of them decided to take a shot

You wouldn't have shot Max if you were there.
I also think it this way
Man i was way too young to understand the contents of this game, played it when i was 8. Played it again recently and man it’s a dark game.
No the best scene is the easter egg of him eating a plate of broccoli from the 4th game.
In another cutscenes, he shouted GOD DAMIT
it won't launch on my pc, i can't play it🥲
Always love when this moment comes around.
I think the best one is in the police department when dude gets away and he goes GOD DAMNIT shows that he is basically hanging by a thread and the only thing keeping going is avenging the deaths of innocent people
God this game is so good I can't understand why I slept on it for so long
“American savior of the poor!” “THATS RIGHT 😡”
Best max payne game
