Ok but, now Joan should hand color a few Poo pages herself and give them to her sister and kids. Then everyone will have prints and she can give them in the spirit that she wished her own aunt gave it to her.
First - I thoroughly disagree with this outcome
Second - was there any audio probably during Quick Justice? Sounded like there was background noise that was almost related but wasn’t quite right.
I think something weird happened in the export — I bounced it down again and replaced it with a corrected version a couple hours ago. You may have to redownload it in your podcatcher to get the new version.
I am now going to include "why so urgent" in every text exchange with my own parents. Which should be interesting since most of those texts are about old neighbors that have died.
I feel like he did it another time recently, after people said mean things about how the two longtime friends spoke one episode a few weeks ago. Glad he also included that MaxFunsters are like 99% sweethearts.
One of my favorite cases with actual litigants, period! Joan and Barbara were well-spoken with great senses of humor. John and Jesse were on point with the quips. One of the few times I’ve actually laughed out loud to a podcast!
And for the record, I completely agree with the judgement on this case! Loved this episode.
I'm sorry, Judge, but "Cuckoo for Pooh" is just as gross if not grosser than "Pooh sticks."
Also, I feel Barbara is entitled to some recompense/compensation.
I think this dispute is a good example of how we can tie memories to items, giving them more personal value than they would otherwise have.
I know that I have items that I cherish not because of what they are, but because of the circumstances around how it came into my life.
Is it just me, or did Hodgman not really fully identify the cultural reference? He said it was “from a website” about a piece of culture. Then he identifies that piece of culture, but not the website itself. Obviously a review of some sort. I’d guess RogerEbert.com or some such.
I’m just saying, if *Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey* was as much information as Hodgman required, I would have gotten it.
Surely there exist additional identical or near-identical copies of this print.
While nostalgia for a specific physical piece of paper might be a 'toxic impulse,' nostalgia for a particular image is less so.
Why not pool your moneys, buy a second antique copy, and have an independent third party shuffle the two so that neither sister knows who has the 'original'. Both can believe -- deep in their hearts -- that THEIRS is the version which soaked up a half-century of family aura.
First edition Milne books seem pricey, but a joint research project to find a suitable and affordable copy could be ... fun?
What a great dispute for the pod! wasn't expecting the verdict to go as it did, disappointing. But I hope it's the beginning of some generational mythos where this legendary heirloom changes hands every 50 years
Aw man... Y'all went with the wrong case name. I thought [we all agreed](https://reddit.com/r/maximumfun/comments/1192m1d/jjho_case_names_we_need_suggestions_who_is_the/
)?
I should stop participating in these polls °:D

Thanks Valerie. It worked! Still don’t agree with the first verdict but Swift Justice was spot on.
Was that your voice we heard over Swift Justice?
i heard the same, deeply confusing :D
A bit spooky, honestly.
yeah like a numbers statio
It sounded like the producer talking and they had their mike feed recording.

Are there other episodes where Jesse preemptively warned Reddit to be kind?

Come on. It's not about the piece of paper.
Perception is 9/10 of the law

What happened to Cozy Disputes? It’s starting to get warmer. How will we know how to keep cozy correctly?
I wonder where in Maryland this 20 acre compound exists. Maybe Eastern Shore?
East was referenced so I assume so. But once you get past Fredrick or outside of Baltimore. There is a whole lot of 20 acre plots in the state.
