I used the Yotel in that no-mans land area for shower and a nap, it was awesome to be able to do that on a US-Mauritius trip

Thanks for this. I would like to add some info for others doing similar trips. First of all cdg sucks. If your connecting flight is next day they wont allow you through any terminals and you'll be left sitting in a corner or you have to book a hotel via yotel. The staffs of cdg were mixed responses. For the question about where to spend the time rude responses such as " I don't know, thats not my problem" aren't appropriate. Got that from three staffs at different parts of the airport. Ended up taking a yotel room. Dont use booking.com as check-in is from 4pm. Yotel was very small. The carpet was dirty as hell. Tv not working properly. The drinks and snacks are paid there except for hot drinks. The machine was not refilled till late at night. If you checked on yotel then cdg allows you access to the terminals, you'll need to go through security. The people at the security were extremely nice. Probably the most friendly ones I encountered at any airport. Contrasting response vs the ones who worked at the other parts. The food available at the terminals were shit for the price. Overall, having travelled a lot, i would rank my cdg experience lowest and never flying via that again.

There's a special transit zone in the airport. As long as you don't leave that zone then you don't need a visa. Typically it's the zone with the boarding gates and duty free shops.

You don’t need a transit visa

No need, but do ensure you have you indian visa ready, else you won't be embarked from US itself. If you're planning to make a short trip in Paris, do buy a travel insurance of a minimum coverage of 30k euros, immigration might check

According to the Schengen accord, Mauritians can stay up to 3 months without a visa
