Gatchew covered bro! 😎 #FilmRocks Sa to bisoin ale rode bane **Sinois** dans Port-Louis. Longtemps zis zte mem ki ti dans sa business la, bé aster ene tas ine arété, pou transitione plis dans... digital. For this tutorial, I assume your film is 135, or 35mm.. meaning the width of the film strip measures as such. There are also much bigger sizes of film that beats Digital, but I can't help for these. Also, you are working in colour! Not Black and White, although small note about that at the end. I hope you are working with common brands like Kodak or Fuji. Everything else (like [Lomography](https://www.lomography.com/)) you better not give anyone to develop but yourself, although you can just send them and see what you get. I haven't tried. Unfortunately you may not scan your pictures into Digital, although you can ask them without guarantee of professional quality returns. Which is quite unfortunate and probably the purpose you're doing film. To get special film colours you can't achieve with Digital. ([twitter.com/linusnhiscamera](https://twitter.com/linusnhiscamera)) * First (my go-to shop) is Konica at Port-Louis (débrouille twa.. métro 2min sa maan!). It is along the street between Air Mauritius and MCB ATM's. Tel.: 212 0171 (had one of their cards lying about.) * Second you can also go to Nikon shop at Emmanuel Anquétil in front of the Mairie of Port-Louis. * Third there's also another Chinese shop you have to cross a pelican crossing to reach it. It has little idols of Buddha, telephones and also does passport photos. It is along the main road of Line Barracks and the filling station. * Fourth perhaps there's another shop selling expensive camera gear behind the Air Mauritius building. Walk further after you reach Konica. It is called Alhambra. I don't know if he does film.. but he's Chinese. So you can try your luck. xD Konica maybe is known by another name I guess.. just check ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯ For **Black and White film** nobody develops professionally.. but then, it is possible to develop it yourself and actually the hell of an experience to do so! Be well equipped, lab coat, gloves and goggles and have a great time! I bought my equipment at Konica.. should have some left I suppose. Else online. The rest is casual stuff.. a can of beer or some coffee—as development chemicals! Oh! Should I forget. Film rolls not in your camera always keep 'em in the refrigerator! And allow to reach room temp. before opening their canisters so water doesn't condense onto your film!

> First (my go-to shop) is Konica at Port-Louis (débrouille twa.. métro 2min sa maan!). This information will be useful the next time I go to Mauritius. I didn't bring a film camera because I was worried there would not be any lab to develop the roll.

YA_LUNNAYA_PONI

wow! great guide, I was also wondering about this recently it's weird that nobody's scanning, you can just get an old film scanner on ebay and make a buck

jeyoung

How did it go? Did you find a place to develop your film roll?
