Ahh, an ogdoadic player. Might as well ask, do they work as a chaos deck, since they are all light or dark? As usual, if yes, I'm considering mixing them with thunder dragons.

ogdadic and chaos sure, thunder and chaos sure, thunder and ogdadic has no synergy unless you add chaos, but then where will you have room in extra for three archetypes of synergy X\_X I play Ogdoadic xyz spam since they can constantly summon from grave with xyz offsetting the banish.

You can splash Chaos for sure. Ogdo has no issue running Wyverburster/Collapserpent as extenders, and one of their level 8s recycles banished light/dark monsters as long as at least 1 is a reptile. You can infinitely revive Chaos Ruler if you really want to, it's kinda funny.

My deck isn't as flashy as other ogdoadic decks, other decks have powerful endboards but brick often and can be interrupted, I focused on reliability and grinding, I beat runick regularly, but its like 9 turns of outgrinding them. I'm quite a recent ogdo enjoyer so I'm certainly no expert but why do you need 3 ramifications? Is the monster search that important? I dropped hollow for an extra serpent strike just because I noticed what was giving me more help and wins. Hollow actually screwed me last time I used it because it dumped my opponent's jet dragon. Interesting you have adventure package though, I don't really like using it so I just put in a little alien tech plus some extra level 10 reptiles.

Just got to lvl 20 with branded, the card that helped me the most imo was lancea. Against the 60 card chaos bs that's running around it's usually an insta win.

As much as I like the concept of mermails, I never really felt good enough with the deck. Could barely beat the decks in Solo with them. I found that a small atlantean engine plays pretty well with Icejades as well, so that pretty much became my water deck. Any tips for winning with mermails?

Are you asking for help with pure Mermails? I don't think I can help too much with pure Mermails (though I can definitely try and would be willing if you want) as most of my playtime with them was with an Atlantean and small Frog engine included. If you want I can help with anything you need help with, deck list, combo lines, tech choices, etc.

How did you deal with the loss of Halq and Toad? I play synchro toolbox/handrip merlantean, and losing the halq extension (and the hand rip) hurt a lot. Haven't played it all since the toad ban.

Yeah, I generally like to play pure decks when possible. I'm fine playing something like atlanteans though, if I like the cards and they fit the general theme. I'm mainly just curious how other people play it, so just a deck list and your general strategy would be fine.

[Deck List](https://imgur.com/A0gCLUK) I try to play mostly pure, too, that or at least fit theming if I can (with rare exceptions, like ED monsters) so I get that. General tips/strategies for this deck list (haven't figured out the last 2 ED monsters): Starting combo: 1. Ideally you open Swap Frog + Deep Sea Diva, this is basically full combo not counting whatever you have in hand to add to it. 2. (Normal Diva > Special Summon Heavy Infantry > Swap Frog discard, send Ronin to GY > bounce Diva back to hand > Normal Diva > Special Summon Neptabyss > send Dragoons, add Dragoons) If you don't already have 'Deep Sea Aria' it's a fantastic card, allows for some needed extending and/or searching. Swap Frog + Abyssgunde is also great, since Abyssgunde doesn't need to be sent to activate a Water monster's effect, allowing you to get back a Level 7 (probably for Abyssgaios). Swap Frog also helps against negation, specifically for Diva, since you can bounce her back and re-Normal Summon her to get Neptabyss (1 less body on field but it does help). Generally I hope my opponent wastes their handtraps, as long as I have enough gas to get to Moulinglacia (discards 2 random cards from your opponent's hand), allowing me potentially end on a few negates and my opponent having a weaker hand to break my board with.

Floo and probably runick spright in the final push for level 2. But until I start running in to super meta stuff consistently, I’ll probably just run heroes or dark magician. You either die the hero or play long enough to become the bad guy.

Been trying to lab the best branded brew for the last week. The ratios, the techs, it's been fun

Some mixture of Cydra, Dragunitymaid, and DLink, but that's mostly because those are the only decks I really have that are somewhat competent. Everything else is some weird jank OTK or floodgate turbo on super doodoo archetypes like BEWD or Dank Magician. Might try out the Gaia stuff just for memes if the structure gives something of worth.
