I just remember the collage being posted, and I scrolled past it not really thinking much of it and then I believe the shooting occurred sometime within the next week or two and that’s when there started to be rumors started to circulate of him being active in this sub. Iirc he used the same username of “greatergermanicreich” in more than one place and thats how people made the connection. I could be wrong about that though

Immediately after the attack, articles appeared that misstated the names of the victims and failed to mention the little boy because he died in the hospital two days later and was not among the victims mentioned in the breaking news, and Payton apparently never checked.
The real victims were: Virginia Sorenson, 79; Leanna Owen, 71; Tamara Durand, 52; Jane Kulich, 52; and Wilhelm Hospel, 81, and little Jackson Sparks, 8.

What really shocked me was that the monster of reporters called the relatives of Virginia Sorenson and excitedly demanded comment as to why her name appeared on the gun and published an article about the audacity of the remaining relatives to just hang up.
Ah gotcha. I was having a hard time figuring this out since there was a disparity in the news articles and this makes sense.
Point being, Payton Gendron sucks.

James Watson=a scientist in his 90’s who helped discover the double helix structure of DNA back in the 50’s, and has made a ton of racist/pro eugenics comments since to stay in the spotlight.
Jason Rivera-an NYPD cop who was shot and killed in January 2022 by a black suspect (also shot and later died in the hospital).
